Chapter 11 - Chapter 11

When Dionysus had left off hugging me, he looked around suspiciously.

"Let's go somewhere private."

He started walking towards a very large vine bush by the side. The bush gave way as he walked into it, and then me and Deimos followed him. When we were through the bush we entered a building. It was a very large palace with paintings and statues of Dionysus holding a goblet and Laurel on his head. When I looked behind me, all I saw was a wall. Then velvet sofas with a table which had a large Greek-style vase and goblets on it appeared in the room, and we all sat down.

"I heard rumors you had returned, brother, but all of it was just drunken mumbling from minor gods, and so I just thought there were just that, mumbling," Dionysus said as he poured out a purple liquid in the goblet.

"Well, I wouldn't say I've returned just yet." I replied, taking the goblets as he handed them to me and Deimos.

He smiled. Oh, but, even just a reoccurrence gives me a lot of hope. I mean the way Zeus came at you, he didn't even go at the giants like that. It was... terrifying. But even then, the gods who watched that battle claimed you let him win. They even dared to say Zeus had no chance against you, he said as he took a sip of his drink.

"And that is exactly why we need to know what's going on in Olympus, we need to know who else Zeus has hunting us." Deimos said after taking a sip of his drink.

I held my cup, hesitant about taking another sip as I still felt the effects of the last drink I had.

"Zeus knows he's back." Dionysus said, unable to hide his surprise.

Deimos drops his empty goblet on the table. Yes, and he has already sent Apollo and Artemis.

Dionysus whistled and looked at him.

"One day you're going to have to tell me what you did to our father, to make him think that the prophecy speaks of you."

Deimos tills his head in confusion. "What prophecy?"

Dionysus's eyes widened. He didn't tell you? And then he looked at me. "Well, you always liked to keep things to yourself." And then he proceeded to fill up Deimos's cup.

"Apparently, The oracle of Delphi gave a prophecy about a son of Zeus, who would bring back the age of the gods, and that there was a war that would paint the river Styx red, or something like that."

" You say 'apparently', meaning you haven't heard the prophecy yourself. Deimos said as he looked at Dionysus, who was pouring himself a drink.

Dionysus sat back and locked eyes with Deimos. No, that's why I, Hermes and a couple of other gods refused to fight in the war. We couldn't fight for what we didn't know.

Deimos through his head backwards.

"So what you're saying is that the reason Zeus locked the oracle somewhere is that he wanted to make sure no one could hear this prophecy?"

"That was his initial reason, but the prophecy had already been heard by a select few. That is why I think he has other reasons for still keeping the oracle 'locked up' Dionysus replied.

"So how do I ascend?" I said, breaking the silence, and bringing both gods back from their lands of thought.

"You have to climb Mount Othyrs," Dionysus said.

"Mount what?"I replied.

"Mount Othyrs, the home of the Titans,"he replied.

"I thought Zeus killed all the Titans,"I said.

"Yes, Zeus, and!, his brothers killed almost all the Titans, they spared some, like Grandma, Atlas, the dude with the eagle and some others I can't remember." he replied.

"So where is it?" I said.

He shrugged and took a sip of his drink.

"Oh, come up, Uncle Donnie, I know you know something." Deimos spoke up.

I completely forgot he was there.

"I really don't know, there was some story about Cronus putting a curse on the place that prevented the gods from knowing it's location or even being able to access it." He replied, taking a sip.

I emptied my goblet, and sat back on the sofa defeated." There goes my ascension." They both stared at me like I had just drunk a full cup of cyanide.

Dionysus's face softens and then he smiles." But you're not a god ,are you? you are mortal now? All you need is Titan to direct you."

"And where is he going to get one of those?" Deimos answered with a bit of annoyance.

"He could go to Atlas,"said Dionysus.

"Where can I find him?" I replied.

"I am sure Deimos can take you there,"he said.

"Atlas won't help us," Deimos replied.

"Atlas is a Titan burden with the wait of the sky on his shoulders, all you need to do is find a way to take that burden away." Dionysus replied.

"Zeus won't allow it, you know that,"Deimos replied.

Dionysus looked at me." Right now, you might not feel the anger and rage you have for Zeus, but when you ascend I promise you will, Promise the Titan his freedom, and he will help you." Dionysus said.

I looked down at the white marble floor." You said that, you know, I'd win this...war."

Dionysus smiled at me. " You will win."

I looked up at him." How do you know that?"

"Because this time, Aries, you have a lot more to lose,"Dionysus replied as he emptied his goblet.

A door appeared out of nowhere and one of the gelly girls came out and walked up to Dionysus and whispered into his ears. And then walked back to the door. She winked at Deimos before she walked through it and the door disappeared. I looked at Deimos.

He shrugged and said,"what?, it's not my fault. I've always been popular with the nymphs?"

Dionysus had a look of urgency on his face. " You guys need to go, Artemis is at the club, I guess some of my driads are still loyal to her, those ungrateful twigs."

Deimos shot up from his seat, I didn't know if it was a drunken action, or if he really cared for my well-being."

Dionysus threw some seeds on the floor, and they grew into a grapevine archway. " Walk through there, and it will take you wherever you think of."

Deimos shook Dionysus's hand.

"Thanks, Uncle Donny."

Dionysus looked at me. "May Nike be with you, brother." And then he walked towards the door that reappeared.

Before we walked through the archway, I looked back at Dionysus one more time. "I won't let you down... Brother "
