Synopsis
Clove is like a magnetic force. Wherever she goes she is to always bring chaos with her. “Clove! For the last time, you cannot superglue someone’s lunchbox shut!” “But he said I look like a starving bear,” mini Clove replied, twirling her pigtail like she hadn’t just started World War III in the cafeteria. From a young age, Clove had a talent for finding herself at the epicenter of every schoolyard squabble, prank, and questionable decision. And growing up only sharpened her skills. Now, she doesn’t even need to try. Trouble practically invites itself. “Ma’am, you can’t just park in the fire lane.” “Why not? There’s no fire right now.” “It’s illegal!” “Relax. If there’s an emergency, I’ll move it.” “Ma’am—” Cue fire truck sirens in the distance. “I said I’ll move if there’s an emergency!” Clove yells, rolling up her window in ignorance. (Minutes later) [Phone rings] “…Hello?” “Hey mom.” “Who is this?” “It’s Clove, your daughter?” “…Clove?…why are you calling me from a police station?” Anyone she meets somehow gets swept up in her whirlwind of chaos. But what happens when Clove meets someone who refuses to be thrown off balance? A ruthless, ice-cold businessman with a wallet bigger than his personality—and whose patience for people is thinner than a parking ticket.

Chapter 1 - Chapter 1: Mass Shooting

6:38 on the clock

Sitting in a waiting room filled with people who are ready to party.

'..A peculiar sense' I thought to my self.

Something doesn't sit right with me in this room.

It wasn't because of the female standing next to me attempting to impress a guy by.. twerking?

Definitely not the gang of guys sitting across of me glaring deep into my soul...?

'It is an odd faint smell... it made my flesh creep.'

I can't tell if the smell is coming from them, or somewhere else.

So I began to be on high alert.

When I'm feeling such way, I can already predict that something bad is going to happen.

But this time the feeling engulfed me.

I could still get the feeling that something was going to happen... but having to replace the word 'bad', with 'terrible'.. made my hair follicles stand.

' This area makes me uneasy.. it's rather I maintain my posture or get swallowed by the pressure, shivering in fear.'

I looked around anxiously, sweating as a million of thoughts rush to my head at the speed of light..

'What if the building was to collapse?... what if someone implanted a bomb in here?... or what if a psychopathic suicidal idiot was to break in here and shoot-'

"Yo Tia... you good?"

I snap back to reality.

The noise and chattering of people fill my ear again.

"..." I stare in silence.

"You were deep in thought badly earlier... gawking into people's skulls..? What are you, a drug addict?"

He says jokingly.

As I stare at him, I roll my eyes lazily. Not a single word was spoken.

"At least say something 'TIA'... unless you actually do take drugs...?" he questions, lifting a brow at me.

"Can I help you?? ZACE" I sarcastingly clap back at him.

"It's Zaron-"

"-I don't care" I interupted him.

Zaron is the type of guy who aches my head every time I encounter him. Since we've known each other since middle school, he takes it as a way to test my patience every time. His looks is no exception either, since he's a handsome light-skin guy with hazel-green eyes. Like bro literally uses his looks as his number 1 priority. With strangers, girls.. and sometimes with boys. He better not try that rubbish around me or he shall be receiving the holiest beating of his life.

Zaron waves as he heads back to his seat to continue his talk with 'his gals'. I mentally roll my eyes. I'm surprise he hasn't yet received the "home-wrecker award of the year."

I stare at the ceiling in silence.. as my gaze lazily drifts to the crack of the door. I stare into the corridor sharply. Not leaving out a single bit of detail my eyes come across.

'This odd feeling is emitting from the hallways...'

I squint my eyes vigilantly.

*[Squint - when you squeeze your eyes almost shut]

(Tick)

Something clicked in my brain. My eyes widen as I hurried out of from my chair. Everyone attentions moves to me as I rush to lock the door next to me.

They stare in silence.

"..." I gaze blankly.

I return to my seat quietly, as I hear the group of guys across from me whispering to one other.

'This room is extremely noisy due to the large number of people present, yet these jerks are purposefully whispering loudly to each other just so I can hear.' I think to myself as I lazily give them death stares.

" ...I don't have time for this..." I mumble to myself as I sit down.

7:44 on the clock

I interrupt my sleep as I kept hearing something creaking open.

'Ugh! Why can't I just live in peace??' I sigh loudly.

I turn to my right. A couple literally making out right next to me?? Ew!

I get up and stomp my way to the open seat next to the door, furiously.

I struggle as I try to close my eyes, settling into deep sleep.

...

I frowned as the creaking noise grew louder.

"Tia, please close the door for me!" Zaron yelled in a polite tone.

I forced my eyes open and locked them on him annoyingly.

I turn to my left to see that the door was actually open...? I thought I closed- No. I most definitely locked it from behind as well.. So how...

From my seat, I peaked through the creak of the door, only to discover a bloody foot trail on the marble floor pavement, and a unknown man carrying a gun behind the door!?

I jumped out of my chair dashing to close to door.

I slammed the door shut to prevent him from entering but the unknown man outpowered me.

He pushed the door open with force that I stumbled heavily on the impact.

I could hear everyone screaming in fear and terror.

I stood up and ran towards the exit at the other end of the room, seizing the chance to escape.

All I could think about was getting the heck out of here.

The unknown man, sensing a presence escaping, turned around and shot at me.

I narrowly missed the bullet by a few centimeters.

I wouldn't care whether the bullet struck me or not. My main objective right now was getting out of here alive.

I dash out of the room, not giving atleast a glance back.

I collide into a security officer out of nowhere and tripped.

"F**K!!" I angrily yell.

"Watch your mouth you damn brat!" The police officer glares at me and screams "Is that what your parents taught you! LISTEN TO ME WHEN IM TALKING TO YOU!! Apologize you disrespectful rat!$&/!&&/!!-"

"..." side glancing at his gun on his waist. I use this opportunity to grab it and take a run for it.

"I would rather defend myself while surviving atleast" I comment as I sprint full speed into a room.

I hid in a small closet of that room, only to hear gunshots go off from afar, and the same officer groaning out of pain.

I shook in fear.
