"What's happening?" In the Vatican, the Pope's eyes flashed with confusion as he sensed a massive influx of faith power returning, nearly bursting his body on the spot and causing a huge impact on his consciousness.
Had the Pope not quickly dispersed the majority of the divine light around him and channeled the faith power into the giant cross, he believed he would have suffered greatly.
"Did Rachel die? Is that earthly god so powerful that even an angel endowed with faith power was killed by him?" However, after managing the faith power, the Pope looked skeptically towards the cosmos. The influx of faith power had indeed baffled him, but upon regaining his senses, he felt something was amiss.
"Could it really be? If the gap was that huge, they wouldn't have fought for so long, right? Or did something else happen, like the angel abandoning faith power to use some other ace up his sleeve?"
With his mind filled with questions and no one to provide answers, especially since Clark and Rachel had moved their battle to the Kuiper belt, the Pope couldn't even sense their location, let alone understand what exactly was happening.
"A hell demon, or perhaps, a fallen angel?" Meanwhile, as Clark noticed Rachel's transformation, he recognized Rachel's new status. While Clark was unfamiliar with angelic powers, he was all too knowledgeable about demonic forces and those of Hell.
After all, during the previous demonic invasions when Earth's dimensional barriers were breached, over ninety percent of the demons came from the hellish dimensions. Clark had killed countless hell demons, making him quite familiar with the powers of Hell.
Thus, Clark quickly deduced Rachel's situation and decisively attacked. Seizing the opportunity when an opponent is weak is an age-old tactic. Even though Rachel, having successfully fallen, now tapped into the powers of the hellish dimension, enhancing his strength, it wasn't enough to instantly compensate for the loss of his faith power and his fall from the Heavenly Father level to a lesser tier.
Furthermore, Hell's primal source was not initially boosting Rachel's strength but transforming and repairing his body to fully integrate him as a member of the hellish dimension.
After all, though fallen angels forsake Heaven and can join the dark side, the dark side isn't limited to Hell alone. Most crucially, only by being marked with the essence of Hell can one gain the trust of the hellish dimensions. Otherwise, betraying Heaven one day and Hell the next, would he be a little brother or a double-crosser?
Clark seized this moment. The heat vision, which hadn't been lethal to Rachel before, now burst forth powerfully. With only two fallen angel wings and without the protective power of faith, Rachel couldn't block the heat vision's force and was pierced through on the spot.
However, Rachel showed no signs of panic, for he had broken away from Heaven. He was no longer the angel he once was; he had established a connection with the hellish dimensions. As long as his transformation was ongoing, Hell would continuously supply him with power to regenerate his body.
This meant that Rachel was effectively immortal at this moment unless Clark's destructive power could surpass the restorative power of Hell's essence, which was clearly impossible.
Ever since Hell's dimensions reassembled from fragmented pieces countless years ago, it had become one of the most formidable dimensions. Combined with its inherent dominion over aspects of death, Hell held a particularly strong position in the universe.
Thus, Rachel believed that with the backing of Hell's primal forces, Clark couldn't possibly kill him.
"It's useless, you can't kill me. See? My regenerative abilities are beyond your imagination. Even if you completely destroy my body, under the power of Hell, I will still come back!" Rachel thought to himself, smugly boasting to Clark.
"Really? I don't believe it." Clark peered deeply at Rachel's swiftly regenerating body and vanished from the spot.
"Poof!" In the next instant, Clark flew past Rachel, blasting his body apart, turning it into chunks of flesh floating in space.
"Buzz!" As Rachel's body was destroyed, Hell's power surged, instantly restoring him, and this time, the transformation seemed even quicker.
Clark frowned, seemingly disbelieving Rachel's claim about immortality. To him, a true immortal body didn't exist; if it did, it only meant his attacks weren't strong enough yet.
Given the vast gap in their strengths, such a scenario shouldn't be happening...
"Poof!" Clark vanished again, blasting Rachel apart once more. Hell's power reappeared, reviving Rachel yet again.
"Sizzle!" Clark's eyes emitted a fierce heat vision, reducing Rachel's body to ashes, yet still unable to stop Hell's power from restoring him.
"Whew!" Clark tried again, exhaling a freezing breath, freezing Rachel's body, then shattering it into unnoticeably fine ice particles, but still failing to prevent Hell's power from restoring him.
Seeing Rachel re-form his body and mockingly smile at him, Clark's brows were tightly knitted. He realized that conventional methods might indeed be ineffective against Rachel. To kill Rachel, it would at least require severing his connection with Hell's power.
Meanwhile, the Hell's power that was still transforming Rachel naturally wouldn't stop arbitrarily. Clark couldn't afford to wait for the transformation to complete, as he feared that Rachel might then employ some new tactic and retreat into the hellish dimensions.
Clark knew he was powerful, but he wasn't so arrogant as to think he could traverse Hell unchallenged. After all, he had encountered several beings stronger than himself, even some he couldn't fully comprehend, all of whom could pose a threat to him. Who could say there weren't such beings in Hell?
"Maybe Robert has a way? His methods are more destructive... Hmm, that might not work either. Even though he's become stronger, his methods struggled to deal lethal damage when facing the Holy Lord, though that seemed to be due to the dog charm's immortality effect," Clark mused, lacking a solution himself and naturally thinking of Robert. Although Robert wasn't as strong as him, his methods were certainly more varied.
"Poof!" Thinking this, Clark once again blasted Rachel apart, watching as his body re-formed and then dragging Rachel towards Earth, bursting him apart again.
"???" Rachel, feeling his body continuously destroyed and restored, was perplexed. He didn't understand Clark's actions. It was one thing to blast him apart, but why drag him toward Earth? Although this could delay Hell's power from transforming his body, it seemed pointless.
"Could there be something on Earth that can deal with me?" However, Rachel was not a fool and soon thought of a possibility, and quickly struggled.
But unfortunately for Rachel, smart as he was, his physical strength was far inferior to Clark's. His sub-Heavenly Father level strength was no match for Clark, the robust Heavenly Father level powerhouse.
Just as before, when he was beaten from Earth into space, Rachel was now being beaten by Clark from space back to Earth.
This infuriated Rachel immensely, yet he was powerless to do anything about it, and he could still feel pain. Each time Clark destroyed his body, Rachel felt it intensely, turning his ordeal into torture.
"Robert, come here, I'm in midair..." After entering Earth's atmosphere, Clark instantly located Robert, who was meditating, and also breathed a sigh of relief. It seemed that nothing untoward had happened in his absence.
"Hmm?" Robert opened his eyes in confusion and instinctively said, "Clark, you're back? What happened? Why don't you come directly here?"
"This Rachel turned into a fallen angel, and he's immortal now. I need your help..." Clark was concise, "You better hurry up, this guy is a bit of a handful!"
"Got it!" Robert's expression became serious, understanding why Clark hadn't come directly. Although the Kent and Danvers families were now somewhat accustomed to extraordinary events, the appearance of an angelic being would still be a shock.
As for the fact that this was a fallen angel, Clark had considered this, but he worried that if Rachel truly died, he might revert to his original angelic appearance, which would be difficult to explain to the Kents.
"Whoosh!" Robert's figure instantly disappeared from the tent, shooting into the sky, soon followed by an annoyed Kara.
"You're in a hurry when you haven't even recovered yet?" Robert reluctantly slowed down a bit, but then he heard Kara's voice and paused.
"Clark's back, asking for my help. Come along!" Robert sighed internally, knowing that Kara's lack of security was driven by his inability to make a definitive choice, so he reached out and gently took Kara's hand.
"Ah! Clark is back, huh... Humph!" Kara blushed a bit at Robert's words but quickly pouted and glared at him, "It's all your fault!"
"Yes, yes, all my fault," Robert readily admitted, genuinely feeling responsible, but he continued holding Kara's hand as they flew towards Clark.
"???" Clark was somewhat baffled seeing the interaction between Kara and Robert and hearing their conversation, almost forgetting to blast Rachel again, who had just regenerated.
"How long was I gone from Earth? Was it not a few days but years?" A thought flashed through Clark's mind, then his thoughts began to drift. He couldn't understand why things had progressed so quickly between Kara and Robert, and it seemed Kara knew about Diana? What had happened in his absence? Had he missed some critical stage in Robert's life?
Unhappy about missing the highlights, Clark then turned his gaze to Rachel, who was reforming his body, and blasted him apart again in irritation.
Had it not been for Rachel taking up so much time, Clark felt he would definitely have been updated about whatever had transpired between Robert, Kara, and Diana.
"Poof!" Rachel, thinking Clark had ceased his attacks and was about to taunt him, was blasted apart once again.
Rachel was furious, "Just blast me consistently, will you? The constant surprises are really unnerving!"
"Is this a fallen angel?" As Rachel's body reformed again, he heard a familiar voice. Looking over, he saw Robert and Kara hand in hand, and Robert's commentary on him, "So, he's fallen, which means he's just been stained? Isn't that a bit superficial?"
"If some people knew about this, it would probably cause trouble..." Kara nodded and commented.
"Poof!" Just as Kara finished speaking, Clark punched Rachel's body apart again and spoke, "See, this is how he recovers. He says the powers of Hell are sustaining him, so we either sever his connection to Hell or overpower him so utterly that he cannot recover. I think he should be easier to kill than the Holy Lord, considering he doesn't have the dog charm's immunity to fatal injuries..."
"I'll try!" Robert nodded. Although he wasn't at his peak condition, he still possessed considerable power. Taking a deep breath, he gathered his energy for another Ki blast, aiming it at Rachel as he reformed.
This ongoing cycle of destruction and regeneration posed a new challenge, one that required cutting off Rachel's source of power from Hell or finding an overwhelmingly powerful way to neutralize him permanently. As Robert prepared his attack, both he and Clark knew that this battle against an immortal enemy might require more than just brute force—it might need a clever strategy or a unique power only Robert could wield.
