All of this happened in the blink of an eye. While Robert was still vigilantly paying attention to the divine voice and consciousness emanating from Valentine underground, an incident had already occurred within the Magic Academy.
Upon noticing, Robert's gaze sharpened, and he instantly rushed into the Magic Academy. Seeing the Holy Grail suspended in mid-air along with droplets of blood filled with sacred light, Robert furrowed his brows, especially noting the weakened state of Claire and the other shadow hunters. He realized that the Holy Grail had not only taken away the power originally granted to them but also a significant amount of their life force!
In the next moment, a drop of angelic blood flew in from outside, merging swiftly with the droplets of blood aglow with sacred light, too fast for even Robert to react. Robert recognized that this drop of angelic blood was the same one that Constantine once possessed, confirming his suspicions of a premeditated plan.
With a hum, Robert mobilized his telekinetic powers to remove Claire and the others from the area, his expression grave as he addressed the unseen presence, "Are you still hiding? Even if you won't help, could you at least take care of Claire and the rest?"
"It's not that I didn't want to help just now; everything happened too quickly, and I barely escaped with my life..." Constantine appeared not far from Robert, warily observing the Holy Grail and the transforming blood.
"Even with a dimensional formation in place, this method is much stronger than usual smuggling. I'm afraid this being will descend upon Earth in their prime, much like the previous Hell Lords."
"Is this angel that powerful?" Robert's gaze flickered as he gathered energy for a Kamehameha, asking softly.
Gulping at the powerful energy gathering between Robert's hands, Constantine felt a life-or-death threat, despite knowing Robert wasn't targeting him. He quickly explained, "Not every angel is powerful, but those whose true names are known are stronger than Hell Lords. In Hell, they are sovereigns, and among the pantheons, they are chief gods..."
"Yahweh?" Robert thought of what Diana had told him and asked instinctively.
"That's not certain. Only the more powerful among the chief gods can be called Yahweh. While there are many powerful beings among angels who could be called Yahweh, this one's status is not clear…" Constantine shook his head, speaking softly.
"Alright, step back." Robert nodded and glanced at Constantine, who suddenly vanished from the spot.
"Be careful not to destroy the Magic Academy!" Constantine initially wanted to shout a warning, but then he remembered the shadow hunters within the academy had already lost their abilities and seemed weak. Whether the academy was destroyed didn't seem to matter much at that point.
With a boom, Robert unleashed a full-powered Kamehameha. He didn't hold back because he sensed a significant threat from the transforming angelic blood.
However, to Robert's surprise, the attack was blocked by the divine light emanating from the angelic blood. The Kamehameha, capable of shattering stars, was unable to penetrate the pure white light.
"What strange energy, what a strange human…" At that moment, the divine voice sounded again. Following its emergence, the angelic blood completed its transformation, and an angelic deity appeared above the Holy Grail, which then merged into his body, stabilizing his aura.
Having hidden this trump card for so many years, its use now seemed somewhat wasteful. The angel sighed, not immediately addressing Robert but instead observing the surroundings and commenting on Earth's current state: lacking in faith, a far cry from its past. Once a lush pasture, it had now become desolate and polluted.
This angel was none other than Raziel, the original source of power for the lineage of shadow hunters.
Raziel had some expectations for Earth's changes, but upon seeing its current state, he was very dissatisfied. In ancient times, with numerous pantheons thriving, Earth was an ocean of faith. Although not all faiths belonged to Heaven, the power of faith still comforted Raziel.
After being expelled from Heaven and the retreat of many pantheons from Earth, Raziel once descended to Earth in response to the great sacrifices made by countless mages who worshipped Heaven. This led to the establishment of the lineage of shadow hunters.
At that time, despite being ravaged by demons, Earth still had much faith, as the appearance of demons made humans long for the days under the protection of deities, enriching the power of faith even further.
But now, the situation had changed. While there were still believers on Earth, truly devout followers were scarce, a state of affairs that Raziel found unsatisfactory.
"Earth, the cradle of origin, has once again nurtured a group of supernaturals…" Raziel gradually came to his senses, turning his gaze towards Robert. Just as he was about to speak, Robert launched a bold attack.
With a buzz, an immense light blocked all of Raziel's senses, as if a great sun stood before him, making him oblivious to everything else.
In the next moment, an Energy Blade slashed out. Facing an enemy that even the Kamehameha couldn't destroy, Robert opted to try the Energy Blade.
With a splatter, a sacred figure was cleaved in two by the Energy Blade, but Raziel's expression remained unchanged. His bifurcated body took flight, vanishing in an instant. As the Solar Flare faded, Robert saw a shadow rushing towards him, responding with an explosive release of power and a barrage of punches.
With a loud bang, the next moment, Robert's fists collided with Raziel, sending him flying with an unmatched force, crashing deeper into the ground than Valentine had been buried.
As Robert was sent flying, he sensed Raziel's aura erupting, the angelic presence alerting the entire planet to his arrival.
On Earth, many powerful beings turned their gaze towards the angel's location, including the Martian Manhunter, the Supreme Mage, Tara secretly harvesting demonic power, and Diana in Europe...
Now, with his arms broken and his energy swirling for rapid healing, Robert had prepared for Raziel's strength but hadn't anticipated him being this powerful. From that brief clash, Robert knew that even in his Great Ape transformation, he stood no chance against Raziel.
"Chief god, Hell Sovereign, so I'm at least a level below him? But he feels even stronger than Diana. Could this be what they call Yahweh?" Robert mused, his fighting spirit surging, affecting the surroundings. As he prepared to attempt the Great Ape transformation again to gauge the gap, he sensed two familiar energies approaching rapidly.
"What's going on? Kara came too? What about Martha and the others?" These energies belonged to Kara and Clark, causing Robert to frown, as he hadn't expected Kara to come, especially since her strength now was not as formidable as his Great Ape power. There seemed to be little she could do here.
Rewinding slightly, upon Raziel's appearance and focus on Robert, Clark was ready to rush over after explaining the situation to Martha and others. He said Robert had encountered a formidable enemy and he needed to help, asking Kara and Lana to look after the family.
Martha and
the others naturally had no objections, cautioning Clark to be careful. But Kara stopped Clark, her gaze serious as she asked, "He's hurt and in danger, isn't he? I want to go with you!"
"Alright, but hurry!" Initially reluctant, Clark agreed as Robert had already launched the Solar Flare, quickly heading towards the site of Robert's and Raziel's confrontation. Kara followed swiftly, her heart burning with rage.
Kara knew that Clark generally wouldn't interfere with Robert's battles, as Robert's enjoyment of combat was well-known. Even if an enemy was slightly stronger than Robert, Clark wouldn't intervene.
Now, with Clark deciding to help and even accelerating en route, Kara knew that Robert was truly in danger, potentially facing a life-threatening threat.
"What incredible fighting spirit, what a strange human…" Meanwhile, inside the Magic Academy, Raziel's body had recovered. The previous Energy Blade attack had indeed cut him in half, but for a being with regenerative abilities, such injuries were trivial.
As now, Robert's arms, though broken, were healing quickly, and if he continued to fight, it wouldn't significantly impact his combat effectiveness.
"Such a human might be spared, to serve Heaven... Hm?" Raziel seemed to see through the earth to Robert below, his gaze flickering as he contemplated dealing with Robert. Suddenly, he sensed a terrifying power approaching.
With a bang, before Raziel could react, a massive fist appeared before him. His divine light erupted, but he was still sent flying by the punch, feathers and droplets of blood raining down.
However, this blood was clearly different from the angelic blood seen earlier, at least not capable of merging directly into the Holy Grail. Of course, with the Holy Grail now inside Raziel, reclaiming it wouldn't be easy.
Kara, significantly slower than Clark, arrived to find Clark had already punched Raziel out of sight, thwarting her plan for revenge. Fortunately, Kara hadn't rushed in, as she was no match for Raziel...
"Robert!" Quickly spotting Robert below, Kara flashed down, but Robert was already emerging.
"I'm fine. Why did you come too?" Robert moved his arm, looking at Kara quizzically.
"I was worried about you..." Kara's brows furrowed as she eyed Robert's arms. Although beginning to heal, the wounds were still visible, filling Kara with discontent.
"There's a significant gap indeed! Only with Super Saiyan power could I possibly battle that being..." Robert diverted his gaze from Kara to where Clark and Raziel had vanished, pondering. Suddenly, he paused, sensing another familiar presence in the sky.
Diana!
With a swish, Diana, clad in armor, wielding the Sword of Hephaestus and the Shield of Athena, appeared before Robert and Kara. Her divine power surged, scanning the surroundings. Relieved to find Robert unharmed, she then noticed his arm injuries.
"I sensed the angel's presence and your fighting spirit, so I came. Didn't I tell you not to rush into battle against strong foes?" Diana, dissipating her divine power, began speaking, slowly turning her attention to Kara beside her. Diana's expression subtly changed, her gaze instinctively locking onto Kara.
Kara's gaze also fixed on Diana, sensing a threat not from strength but from something else.
Their eyes met mid-air, silent yet filled with a crackling tension...
