"They are…" A hint of hesitation flashed in Clare's eyes, unsure how to introduce Robert and Constantine's identities. However, at that moment, Constantine suddenly spoke up, cutting off Clare's attempted explanation.
"A werewolf? Luke?" Constantine recognized Luke's identity, surprising Clare and making Robert's eyes light up. No wonder Luke dared to attack him and wasn't hurt by his kick. It turns out he had some skills.
Although Robert didn't use much force in his kick, the fact that it could break a wall indicated it wasn't something an ordinary person could withstand. It made sense if Luke was a werewolf.
"Werewolves, huh!" In the Dragon Ball world, there were also werewolves, though they weren't very formidable, much like the vampires that often appeared alongside them.
"I remember at the World Martial Arts Tournament, there were vampires and werewolves participating. Vampires could transform into bats and humans, and their blood-sucking ability was strong. One had bitten Krillin's bald head, leaving him anemic…"
"Unfortunately, those vampires weren't very strong, afraid of crosses and garlic, even the sight of someone mimicking a cross scared them. The werewolves were even less impressive, getting hypnotized by round objects as if they saw the moon. I wonder if werewolves and vampires in this world have such weaknesses…"
As Robert reminisced about werewolves, he looked interestedly at Luke, momentarily ignoring the assassins he had captured.
"Constantine?!" While Robert was pondering, Luke recognized Constantine. In the supernatural world, especially the darker sides, Constantine's name was well-known.
Everyone wondered when Constantine, always dancing on the edge, would be killed. Almost every dark supernatural being had hoped for it, and clearly, Luke was among them.
"You know each other?" Robert asked, surprised by Luke's recognition of Constantine.
"Yes, I didn't expect the notoriously impulsive werewolves to play tricks. With his strength, these minions are no match for him, yet he allowed himself to be captured…" Constantine sneered at the assassins bound by the Grand Qi Palm, mocking them.
Hearing about her potential stepfather Luke being a werewolf shocked Clare. After hearing Constantine reveal Luke's strength, she instinctively moved closer to Robert.
Even though she had just met Robert, Clare had witnessed his power and felt he had no malice towards her, unlike Luke, who, despite being a powerful werewolf, was captured and tortured by mere humans.
"Clare…" Luke tried to explain after seeing her reaction but struggled to find the right words.
Just then, as the atmosphere turned awkward, Robert noticed some of the assassins transforming into demons within the grasp of his Grand Qi Palm.
Unlike the witch who had a symbiotic relationship with a demon inside her, these demons had disguised themselves as humans. Confronted with Robert's power, they revealed their true forms in resistance.
"Roar!" Still, they couldn't break free from the Grand Qi Palm, their plight unchanged whether in human or demon form.
Robert turned to one demon, capturing it with his mind-reading technique. He didn't believe everyone was immune to his mind reading, especially since he had read many demons' memories before.
Soon, Robert saw a woman in a coma and a male leader ordering the demons and assassins, "If you can't get useful information from Joselyn, then go after those close to her, Clare, Luke, go! Don't come back without information!"
"Finally, some useful information!" Robert's eyes lit up. He continued probing the others' minds, confirming the authenticity of the intelligence.
Now, a new problem arose: knowing these people's identities and motives but not the location of their leader, Valentine, much like knowing a Hydra base's appearance without its address.
"Tell me, where's your boss now?" Robert recalled his resurrection technique. Unsure if it would work on demons, he didn't worry, as there were still human assassins to interrogate.
"In your dreams!" The assassin, still suffering in the Grand Qi Palm, glared at Robert, refusing to reveal their leader's location.
However, these assassins weren't professional enough to carry poison for suicide, leaving Robert to take action.
"Okay." Robert nodded, nonchalantly striking the assassin's heart, causing instant death. Then, he used healing magic to revive him. The assassin, having glimpsed hell, was bewildered by his resurrection.
"Now, will you speak?" After Robert disposed of the other demons, leaving only the terrified assassins, he continued his interrogation until they broke down.
"I'll talk! Please, just end it quickly!" The assassin pleaded, revealing their base's location before Robert knocked him out and did the same to the others until they all gave the same address.
Clare, who had moved closer to Robert, stepped back in fear, questioning if demons were truly the most terrifying beings or if Robert was more fearsome.
Luke, initially wanting to advise Clare to stay away from Robert, shut his mouth after witnessing Robert's methods, deciding to let Robert lead, acknowledging the rule that power dictates right in the dark world.
Constantine wasn't surprised by Robert's tactics, even wishing he could mimic them for interrogating supernatural beings, believing that only by being more ruthless could one intimidate demons.
After obtaining the same address from all three assassins, Robert satisfied, let them meet their demonic peers in hell.
"Now that we have the address, shall we go? But first, should we deal with this werewolf?" Robert looked at Clare and Constantine, then eyed Luke, suggesting an interrogation.
"No! He can explain!" Clare, fearing Luke might be killed, quickly defended him, wanting to give him a chance despite any issues.
"I am indeed a werewolf, but my relationship with Joselyn is real. I know who's behind this, trying to steal the Holy Grail…" Luke, feeling the pressure from Robert, took a deep breath and began to explain.
"Valentine, a demon, or rather, a bastard who was once an angel but became a demon!"
"An angel turned into a demon? He fell?" Constantine asked, intrigued.
Luke clarified, "He wasn't a fallen angel. Initially, like Joselyn, he was a Shadow Hunter with angel's blood in his veins…" He hesitated, aware Clare might not know Joselyn's true identity but continued, believing Robert could help rescue Joselyn.
"Over time, Shadow Hunters weakened, struggling against demons…" Luke continued, explaining Valentine's ambition to bring more demons to Earth, wanting to become the king of demons.
"Joselyn discovered Valentine's plot, stole the Holy Grail, and hid it, living incognito. Valentine struggled to find her as his control over demons waned, but recently, with a resurgence of demons on Earth, his ambition grew…"
The chapter ends with Clare, witnessing Robert's interrogation methods, stepping back in fear, while Luke and Constantine reflect on the gravity of the situation, acknowledging Robert's decisive action against the supernatural threat.
