Diana looked at Robert with a hint of surprise and said, "I didn't expect you to already know about the breach in Earth's dimension. You're quite well-informed..." She then expressed some regret.
"I'm talking about that guy just now. Initially, he wasn't so powerful. If you had discovered him when he first appeared, your move could have directly obliterated him…"
"Unfortunately, as time passed, this demon absorbed some of his peers, becoming increasingly stronger. His ability made it hard for me to locate him, so I wanted to try and see if you could do it. And you haven't been here for quite a long time!"
Perhaps because she hadn't seen Robert for a long time, Diana spoke more than usual, with a hint of dissatisfaction in her voice. She remembered that Robert was still a student, but that didn't mean he had no free time at all.
And with Robert's speed, finding her wouldn't be too difficult, nor would it take too much time!
"By the way, have you dealt with that Fire Demon? Wait!" Diana was saying, when she suddenly thought of something and hesitantly asked Robert, "You didn't kill the Fire Demon, did you?"
"Yes, that guy was indeed troublesome, almost immortal. No matter how I fought, I couldn't eliminate him, so I had to seal him in the end..." Robert spread his hands, speaking somewhat helplessly.
"But unexpectedly, he was so stubborn that he chose to self-destruct rather than be sealed. He blew himself up, destroying his body and twelve curses, and his soul fled back to Hell!"
"Now I understand why a gap has appeared in Earth's dimension," Diana said quietly, looking at Robert.
"Ah?" Robert's eyes widened, hesitantly saying, "You're not suggesting that this has something to do with me, are you?"
"I've said before, the Fire Demon is one of the eight embodiments of evil forces between heaven and earth. In other words, he is part of Earth's rule forces!" Diana shook her head, explaining.
"So, demons like them are hard to kill and need to maintain a connection with Earth. If all eight demons are not on Earth, it means there are loopholes in Earth's rules, leading to gaps in the Earth's dimension…"
Robert fell silent upon hearing this, then scratched his face. So it was indeed his responsibility.
But how could it be his fault? The Eight Immortals sealed the eight great demons, and Liu Bei re-sealed the Holy Master. In both cases, the Holy Master did not self-destruct!
Why did he choose to self-destruct when it came to Robert? At least, the responsibility should be shared equally among the Holy Master, the Eight Immortals, Liu Bei, and himself!
"I didn't know he would self-destruct. So, if the gap in Earth's dimension remains, will demons keep coming to Earth?" Robert pondered for a moment, then asked Diana with a frown.
For Robert, demons appearing on Earth wasn't necessarily a bad thing. At least, it provided a chance for people like Peter Parker to get accustomed to combat.
However, for ordinary people and even for Clark, these continuous demons were a huge trouble.
Even with Clark's speed, he was too busy to take care of his home recently, not to mention the ordinary people who might fall victim to the demons...
And the abilities of demons were incredibly diverse. Now even Diana had encountered demons that she couldn't detect, which meant ordinary people or other power wielders facing such demons would be in great danger.
Robert didn't see himself as a savior of the world, but since the Holy Master's incident was related to him, he wanted to rectify it as much as possible...
"This isn't your responsibility. Since the Holy Master self-destructed, it's all his problem!" Diana said reassuringly. "And although the breach in Earth's dimension is hard to fix, the Earth's dimension itself has formations. With help from Kamar-Taj, patching it up a bit is not a problem..."
"Of course, a full restoration is impossible, but Earth's dimension was never perfect. You might not know, but before this, demons from other dimensions often sneaked into Earth, just not as many as now!"
"Kamar-Taj?" Robert raised his eyebrows. What kind of force was this? Did it contain powerful individuals?
"Yes, Kamar-Taj is a group of magicians in the Earth's dimension guardian faction. They guard the Earth's dimensional formation all year round, preventing visitors from other dimensions."
"Without the dimensional formation, not only demons of the current level would come to Earth, but also more powerful demons, lords, and even dimensional gods could descend to Earth's dimension."
"Even though Earth's dimension itself suppresses those exceeding its limits, such beings are still a huge threat to Earth..."
"No wonder the demons I've encountered recently aren't very strong!" Robert nodded in understanding and then seriously said, "It seems I need to kill as many demons as possible before that magician organization repairs the dimensional formation."
If Robert had heard about this magician organization earlier, he would have been eager to see it. But now, he focused on dealing with demons.
"I've also killed quite a few demons recently. Although they're not strong, their numbers are troublesome, especially the one that just escaped…" Diana shifted the topic back to the demons themselves.
"He is indeed peculiar. Before I could lock onto him, he had already escaped…" Robert thought for a moment, then took out a demon curse from his shoe.
Diana was puzzled by Robert's action but soon noticed the unusualness of the cloth piece in his hand.
With a buzz, the energy sealed in the demon curse was released. This was the first time Robert had completely unleashed the energy within the demon curse after accumulating a large number.
As the energy was released, a strange, bloody scent and terrifying aura emanated from the demon curse, as if it had mutated after absorbing many other curses.
"Roar!"
"Roar!"
"Roar!"
As the strange aura spread, growls echoed around, and red eyes lit up in the darkness.
The demon curse, now filled with the resentment of many demons and influenced by the essence of Hell, became an object of extreme hatred for demons. This was convenient for Robert, who was looking for a way to attract demons.
"Diana, keep an eye out. I'll deal with these first!" Robert surveyed his surroundings and, not seeing the vague figure from before, shouted to Diana and charged at the demons. He didn't use energy waves, but simply beat them with punches and kicks.
Robert remembered Diana saying that the demon became stronger by devouring its peers, so he created an environment for it to do so.
In a short time, the demons lay on the ground, struggling weakly, none of them able to fight back.
With a hum, Robert then stored the demon curse back in his shoe.
Diana, holding back her curiosity about why he kept the curse in his shoe, remembered that after every battle, Robert's clothes were always torn and tattered, but his shoes remained intact.
"Let's go. They're all dealt with. Let's find more demons!" Robert winked at Diana and laughed loudly.
"Will he really fall for it?" Diana, skeptical, pulled Robert closer and whispered.
"He'll act even if he knows it's a trap. As long as he
can't find us, he'll eventually make a move!" Robert replied telepathically.
"I understand!" Diana flew off, holding Robert's hand, and they both disappeared instantly, leaving the struggling demons behind. In the darkness, greedy eyes observed everything but didn't dare to move, still frightened by Robert's earlier energy wave.
Under the night sky, one demon after another succumbed to the injuries inflicted by Robert, their bodies slowly losing life. The eyes in the dark grew greedier and finally couldn't resist.
A shadow flashed in the night, silently pouncing on the dying demons, planning to devour them and then check if the dead ones had any residual value or power.
But at that moment, a brick nearby transformed into Robert, startling the newly revealed demon.
The cautious demon immediately hid, not even stopping to devour the dying peers, and tried to flee.
Robert had set up a barrier with telekinesis, trapping the area.
The demon tried to break through the ground but was stopped.
When it realized escape was impossible, the demon returned to the surface, its form still nearly invisible, moving at high speed. Robert struggled to track it, its invisibility more advanced than Susan Storm's.
However, as the demon moved rapidly, its form became clearer, and the bodies of the dead and dying demons disappeared, devoured by this one.
"This is weird. Its strength and speed increased, but its invisibility weakened. Has it not fully digested them?" Robert scratched his head, criticizing the grotesque, flesh-patched appearance of the demon, "And how can it be so ugly?"
