Chapter 200 - Chapter 200: The Encounter of Two Brothers

"What kind of flame is this?!" The demon's voice rang out in terror, previously even when Robert had suppressed him, he had never shown such fear. The demon knew his own essence of power was formidable; even though he couldn't unleash his full strength, he felt that Robert posed no threat to his life.

However, the demon hadn't expected that Robert would suddenly unleash a type of flame. Honestly, in hell, there were too many demons with flame abilities, and he had always sneered at such powers. But the flame released by Robert was extremely deadly to him, and if this continued, he feared he might really perish here.

"What flame?" Robert was also surprised by the effectiveness of the flame he had released. He had simply incorporated some abilities he had gleaned from charms into his spiritual state of battle, along with some qi magic evolution and life energy, and now it had this incredible effect.

However, opportunities for soul combat were rare, and Robert wasn't sure if this flame was only effective against demons' souls, or all souls in general.

Of course, now wasn't the time to ponder this question. Robert prepared to deal first with this demon trying to take over his body!

Being possessed was something Robert couldn't accept, even more so than the leakage of cellular genes creating a genetically similar artificial being!

To have his body controlled by another consciousness was unimaginable. Who knows what that consciousness would do with his body?

"No! I absolutely can't die here, especially not at the hands of a lowly Earthling!" To the demon, Earth was a coveted place, but they also looked down on Earthlings, considering their dimension to be more advanced and their life forms superior.

"Buzz!" Just as the demon roared, he completely turned back into the gaseous form he had been before, which seemed to be his true form.

When he transformed into this gas, the gas and flames started consuming each other fiercely. However, compared to Robert at his peak, the demon, weakened by his journey to Earth, was clearly at a disadvantage.

"No! No! I curse you! I curse you to a dreadful death, I curse you to be ultimately devoured by hell!" Realizing he couldn't escape from the flames, the demon grew increasingly frantic, uttering a curse similar to the previous demon that Robert had killed.

"Huh? A curse?" Robert's eyes lit up when he heard the demon's words. With a flicker of telekinesis, in the astonished gaze of Kara, Robert's shoes came off, and a piece of fabric flew up, hovering in mid-air.

"What is this?" Kara looked confused, not understanding why a piece of fabric had suddenly appeared, and why it was in Robert's shoe.

Robert: Where else to hide it? Shoes are less likely to be damaged. Clothes are too easily torn.

This piece of fabric was the same one that had absorbed the curse of a previous demon. Robert hadn't had much opportunity to use it. He had tried using it as bait, but unfortunately, no demon had sought him out…

Now, this piece of fabric could absorb a new curse. He wondered if collecting seven demon curses could summon some kind of demon lord.

"Buzz!" The demon engulfed in flames turned into a mass of demonic qi-blood, similar yet different from the previous demon. When it transformed, it seemed to ignore all harm and barriers, lunging straight for Robert's soul, locking onto his qi.

In the next moment, however, the demon qi-blood froze, as Robert's soul qi completely vanished, becoming as inert as a stone.

"Buzz!" Quickly, Robert dispelled the qi covering the cursed fabric, and without hesitation, the demon qi-blood rushed into it, adding a new curse to the fabric.

As for Robert's soul, it flashed back into his body. Even though he had the power to fight in his soul state, he still preferred the feeling of being in his own body.

"Crack! Crack!" Robert moved his body around, then waved his hand, sealing the cursed fabric and placing it back in his shoe.

"Robert? What is this thing? Why do you put it in your shoe?" Kara asked, still a bit dazed, though she was curious about Robert's unseen ability.

"This fabric contains the curses of two demons, so it's not safe to keep it anywhere else. I keep it close to me…" Robert explained softly.

"Demon curse? Isn't that dangerous?" Kara looked worriedly at Robert.

"Don't worry, they weren't my match alive, and they're less of a threat dead," Robert said dismissively. At least demons of this level couldn't pose a threat to him. Perhaps only the Holy Master, who had regained freedom with the twelve charms, could.

After that battle, Robert's strength had increased slightly. Even if the Holy Master at that state returned, he wouldn't be Robert's match.

"What use is a demon's curse?" Kara asked, slightly relieved but curious.

"Maybe for fishing, but I haven't been successful…" Robert mused, a bit puzzled. "But it's strange, when I specifically looked for demons, none appeared. Now that I'm not looking, why do they show up?"

"Then why not try again?" Kara suggested eagerly, "I haven't fought a demon yet. Let me have a go. It can't always be you fighting while I watch…"

"You…" Robert knew a day would come when Kara would want to fight, but he didn't expect it so soon. He hesitated but didn't refuse her. After all, it was time for Kara to experience real combat.

"Alright, you should indeed experience some real battles. Let's try again!" Robert agreed, lifting the seal on the cursed fabric in his shoe. The two demon curses surged forth, taking the familiar form of hell's life force.

"It doesn't seem to be working. Shall we look around?" After sensing around and finding no new demons, Robert suggested.

"Sure!" Kara was naturally happy with this. Fighting monsters wasn't the key; being close to Robert was, so she wouldn't be left out if he went demon-hunting alone.

"Whoosh!"

"Whoosh!"

Robert and Kara vanished from the spot. Although they weren't soaring together like Clark and Lana, it was a sort of flight… Hm?

While Robert and Kara were using the cursed fabric to track demons, Clark and Lana were strolling on the streets. Clark hadn't overcome his psychological barrier, and things were a bit awkward between him and Lana.

"Hm?" As Clark and Lana walked under a dimly lit street lamp, Clark furrowed his brow, sensing something off but unable to pinpoint what.

Unbeknownst to him, not far away, a figure was struggling to climb out of a crack, different from the demon Robert had just encountered, but its aura was unmistakably demonic.

This demon, wounded and unstable, seemed less composed than the one Robert faced. He burrowed into the ground, and a stone demon emerged.

"The Demon Lord is too cautious. Earth, if not for the dimensional array, would have been conquered long ago. Was it necessary to send three of us?" The stone demon, grim and greedy, adjusted to Earth's environment.

"This place would be fine with just me. The only regret is the dimensional rift isn't big enough. It's painful to pass through and suppresses our strength. I wonder how the others are faring?"

In hell, the three demons were under a Demon Lord, equally powerful but rivals. They all wanted to replace or even consume each other to become stronger and maybe even their own Demon Lord.

"You are? A demon?" Clark's voice startled the stone demon, who had been lost in his thoughts. Clark had seen demons before, though this one seemed a bit different.

"Hm?" The stone demon was caught off guard but reacted swiftly.

"Bang!"

Two massive stones hurled towards Clark, aiming to crush him. But Clark easily dodged.

"Can fly?" The stone demon noticed Clark hovering and narrowed his eyes, already summoning a mountain-sized stone aimed at Clark.

"What's your purpose on Earth?" Clark looked around, sensing something amiss. Finding nothing, he turned his gaze to the stone demon, asking from above.

"Heh, want to know my purpose? Sure, you'll find out in hell!" The stone demon sneered, and a mountain appeared above Clark, crashing down on him.

"Snap!" To the demon's surprise, Clark caught the mountain with one hand, not even budging an inch.
