Chapter 120 - Chapter 120: Sarcastic Backstabbing (Part Four)

"Who are you? Did you save me? Why?" In a deserted area of America, John Walker finds himself transported here, looking at the completely unknown man in front of him with confusion.

"..." The man silently looks at John Walker, then gradually fades away.

"Who was he? Clearly not someone I know, but why do his eyes seem familiar, as if I've seen them before?" John Walker muses, but soon shakes his head, "Never mind, I'll report this information and let the higher-ups negotiate with Area 13. I definitely don't want to encounter that monster again..."

"Vegeta, what just happened?" On the other side, in a fishing village in Panama, Jackie Chan, holding the shield tightly, approaches Robert, looking around cautiously and asking.

"A powerful individual appeared, but unfortunately, I didn't see clearly. It seems he's related to the person from before and rescued him..." Robert shakes his head regretfully.

"You didn't see clearly?!" Jackie Chan widens his eyes in disbelief.

"Of course, I'm not the strongest person on Earth right now. This world is more mysterious than you think, with stronger individuals appearing suddenly. It's quite normal," Robert says, accustomed to the emergence of mysterious powerhouses, as it's common in the Dragon Ball world for new fighters to appear just when they think they've reached the peak of strength.

Robert isn't afraid of these new challenges; rather, he looks forward to a world filled with strong opponents, providing endless opportunities for battle. "Now, let's deal with the amulet..." Robert looks at Mera, asking why she helps people recover from injuries.

"Do I need a reason to help them recover?" Mera steps back towards the sea when Robert looks at her, asking in return.

"Uh..." Robert is momentarily stumped. Sometimes, there's no need for reasons. Perhaps Mera discovered the amulet's abilities and decided to help suffering individuals, becoming the rumored Ocean Healing Goddess.

"I believe your intentions are good, as I can feel your pure aura. But sometimes, you need to think of yourself. You're now targeted by more than one faction. Your every move will be watched until they get the amulet," Robert advises Mera earnestly after regaining his composure.

"Are you the same?" Mera steps further into the sea, clutching the amulet and asking.

"We are," Robert nods, "You've seen it yourself. The supposed sick people around here have been replaced. If you continue using the amulet, you'll face the same situations..."

"Of course, if you prefer to stay in the sea and not come out, keeping the amulet might be safe. At least safer than leaving it with Area 13. But you must ensure you won't come out again!"

"You knew I came from the sea?" Mera, one foot in the water, looks at Robert in surprise.

"I sensed it when you came ashore..." Robert didn't know Mera's origin but sensed her extraordinary presence.

"So you really come from the ocean? Can your abilities allow you to survive in the sea? How were you born?" Tony Stark, curious about his knowledge gaps, bombards Mera with questions, though his helmet hides his expression.

Tony Stark's incessant questioning reflects his interest in the unknown, especially since Mera seems more approachable than Robert, who might kill at a moment's notice... "I was initially curious about the human world, but seeing people suffer from injuries, I decided to help them. I didn't expect it to turn out this way..." Mera doesn't answer Tony Stark's questions directly but sighs, struggling with her decision to continue helping with the amulet.

If possible, Mera would continue using the amulet to aid others, but as Robert said, those so-called sick people were replaced by ulterior motives, making it hard for Mera to discern everyone's intentions. The amulet's existence not only affects her exploration of human society but also poses a life-threatening danger...

The amulet can heal injuries and remove negative effects, but it can't make Mera immune to death. If someone sets a trap next time, Mera might not survive.

"Sigh!" Mera sighs, ultimately deciding not to bring the amulet back to the sea. Instead, she wraps it in water and sends it towards Robert.

In their brief interaction, Mera feels at least two of the three men aren't bad, as they didn't coerce or ambush her or say strange things...

Tony Stark: ???

"Also, a piece of advice: if you can, change your appearance next time you show up. Many people have seen you..." Robert advises Mera as she retreats into the sea.

"Thank you for the advice." Mera nods and softly responds.

"I can help you delete the footage they recorded!" Tony Stark quickly offers.

"Splash!" Mera doesn't respond to Tony Stark and disappears into the water.

"..." Tony Stark falls silent under his armor, "Jarvis, am I not handsome enough?"

"Sir, I doubt anyone would find you handsome after seeing a large hole in your chest..." Jarvis, mimicking Tony Stark's sarcastic style, responds after some thought.

"..." Tony Stark's lips twitch slightly, "I'll format you when I get back!"

"Sir, before formatting me, you might want to deal with the two gentlemen beside you..." Jarvis reminds, "Given Mr. Vegeta's previous performance, your armor might not last five seconds in his hands!"

Tony Stark, realizing Robert and Jackie Chan are intently watching him, turns his attention back to them...
