"Saiyans? Also combative? Do members of your race fight each other? And, are all of you really big eaters? How many of you are there? Won't you deplete a planet?" Diana is clearly curious about the Saiyan race, constantly questioning Robert.
After all, aliens on Earth are rare, especially in the era when deities were active, with most attention on Earth's internal affairs.
Even the native gods had little contact with aliens before leaving Earth, with many not encountering as many as the Kent family. Diana's knowledge of aliens mostly comes from mythological records, so she's quite curious about alien races.
"I should be the only Saiyan in this universe," Robert replies softly after a moment's thought to Diana's questions.
"Sorry..." Diana looks at Robert apologetically and quickly changes the subject, "Are you hungry again? Should we go eat something?"
"No need, I'll show you my cooking skills!" Robert grins, vanishing on the spot. Sensing the wildlife around Paris isn't as diverse as in America, he still detects the presence of wild boars and decides to show Diana what real delicacies are.
Soon, Robert prepares delicious roasted pork using Qi, astonishing Diana, a demigod with little need for food. Yet, under Robert's expectant gaze and the enticing aroma, she tries it.
"How did you do this? Qi magic?" Diana quickly becomes amazed, "Right, when we get back, you can study that book on Qi magic. Didn't you say your research wasn't thorough enough?"
"Yes, this is also a use of Qi..." Robert mumbles while indulging in the food.
Diana, watching Robert's eating, smiles slightly. Though Robert doesn't say it, she guesses his life motto: "Only battle and gourmet food are worth cherishing!"
Diana, having left Themyscira nearly a century ago, has seen various humans, but none as purely combative and akin to her as Robert.
After a full meal, Robert and Diana return home, where Diana takes out an ancient-looking book. It contains snippets of Eastern divine legends and, more importantly, the origins and derivative applications of Qi magic.
The book won't rapidly enhance Robert's combat abilities but will deepen his understanding of Qi.
Thus, Robert stays at Diana's place, fighting daily, indulging in meals when tired, and studying the book on Qi magic, leading a comfortable life...
Despite new injuries daily, preventing him from being at his peak, Robert clearly feels his strength gradually improving, though not as rapidly as after being heavily injured by Diana the first time.
Diana is quite satisfied with this lifestyle, having not communicated with a true peer for nearly a hundred years, let alone someone with rich combat skills like Robert bringing daily surprises...
However, while Robert and Diana's duo enjoy their time, making Robert reluctant to return home, Clark is having a tougher time, covering for Robert with Selina and dealing with Kara.
After all, Robert's mission with the talismans was supposed to be a quick trip, not several days away. Not only Kara but also Martha and others are asking...
Initially, Clark manages to handle it, but eventually, he can't bear it and contacts Robert.
"When exactly are you coming back? Don't you plan to return?" Clark admits his tone is a bit harsh, but the pressure shouldn't all fall on him, even as Robert's brother.
"My injuries haven't fully healed..." Robert mutters in response to Clark's contact, having been injured again by Diana, though healing quickly.
"You think I can't see your injuries? Let me put it this way: if you don't come back, I'm bringing Kara to find you..." Clark threatens Robert irritably.
"Bring Kara for what?" Robert pauses, "Is she interested in fighting to improve her strength? Why is she suddenly interested? But her current strength seems suitable for fighting together..."
"I..." Clark is speechless at Robert's response, not knowing what to say.
"Robert, I'm going home soon for my teacher Antiope's birthday, which coincides with our Themyscira Hunting Festival. Do you want to come with me?" Diana, noticing Clark's silence, approaches Robert with the invitation.
"Huh? What a coincidence?" Robert pauses, then smiles, "My brother contacted me, telling me to hurry back after finishing my tasks. So, contact me after you return, and I'll come find you again..."
"Hm? Right, you're only sixteen and need to attend school. Okay, let's exchange contact information. No need to search for me between the Louvre and the Temple of Athena like last time..." Diana realizes, after spending days together, she almost forgot Robert is still growing up.
Thus, the duo's world is disrupted, relieving Clark. However, Robert doesn't plan to return immediately, citing his unhealed injuries and intending to take his time returning to recover fully, avoiding raising suspicions with Kara and Martha.
Clark reluctantly agrees, at least knowing Robert is on his way back, easing his pressure with Kara and Martha. After a heartfelt farewell meal, Robert and Diana part ways without further combat, otherwise, unless Clark flew over to fetch Robert, he wouldn't be able to leave...
