Cassie slowly opened her eyes, she saw herself in a very strange crowded environment.
"What's this place?" She thought as she slowly got up from the floor.
"Hey, where are we?" She asked the boy who was in front of her. The boy turned and looked at her like she was stupid.
"We're in the selection hall" a voice from behind answered her.
"Selection hall? What's that?" Cassie turned around and asked.
"You really don't know what a selection hall is? Are you even a black blood?" The girl asked Cassie, slowly examining her with her eyes.
"I am a black blood, apparently".
"Well if you are, you must've heard of S.U.M.S right?".
"S.U.M.S? I haven't heard of it" Cassie replied honestly. The girl sighed and shook her head.
"All black bloods please come forward" A voice said over the speaker. Cassie recognized that voice. It was the voice of the old lady that abducted her. Cassie decided to move forward so she could see the old lady.
"Hey! Stop cutting!" A girl shouted and pushed Cassie out of the line. Cassie who was already angry and frustrated for being taken to a place she knew nothing about, pushed her back.
"How dare you push me?! Do you know who I am?!".
"I obviously don't know and I honestly don't care" Cassie replied and wanted to go further but the girl drew her back.
"I'm the daughter of this school's principal so you have to speak to me politely!".
"School? This is a school? What kind of school is this? Does your school abduct people so they have to attend no matter what?!" Cassie asked, she was about to lose it.
"Who are you you? Why don't you know anything?" The girl asked giving Cassie the same look the boy from earlier gave her.
"Oh I know a lot of things and one thing I know is that I want to get out of here and one thing I don't know and would like to know is how to get out of here!".
"Wow, funny how I meet people like you every year".
"People like me?".
"Yeah people like you. People that want to leave S.U.M.S immediately they get here and one of two things happens to them".
"What happens to them?".
"They die or they die. So even if you see the way out, you can't leave!".
Cassie took two steps back when she heard those words. This can't be how her story ends. She never for once imagined that a thing like this could happen to her. She slowly turned around and walked back to her original line.
It soon became time for the boy that stood in front of her to be selected. She could see the old lady seated on a high table.
"Welcome to S.U.M.S Louie Shapiro. So what kind of monster are you?" The old lady asked the boy.
"That's weird" Cassie thought, "Why was she being nice when she was rude towards her during their whole interaction?".
Cassie stepped back as two brown feathered wings came out from his back. There were really huge.
"Wow are you an eagle?" Cassie asked with a mesmerizing look on her face which slowly turned to terror when the boy did an entire 360° degree turn with his neck and replied "No".
His face was really horrifying to Cassie that she felt like throwing up, now she understood why people looked so terrified whenever they see her in her monster form.
"Wow, so beautiful Louie. I see your a descendant from the owl clan. Come forward and take your student card and dorm key. You'll find other things you'll need in your dorm". The old lady said clapping. The boy moved forward and collected the card and dorm key.
"Next!" The old lady said and Cassie stepped forward.
"Welcome to S.U.M.S Cassandra Olsen. What kind of monster are you?".
"Wow, your level of duality is really amazing. And you keep on saying the same thing to everyone, aren't you tired?".
"What kind of monster are you, Cassandra Olsen?" The woman asked totally ignoring Cassie's question.
"Is it me or I'm offended by your question and did you really have to abduct me so I can attend your school? Did you abduct everyone here too? Wow, you're a really scary lady".
"I'll repeat myself one last time Miss Olsen. What kind of monster are you?!".
"How am I supposed to know that? I haven't looked at myself in the mirror as a monster to know that!".
"Then turn into your true self, I'll help you identity your clan".
"Uh spoiler alert, I can't just turn into one at will you know".
"How dare you lie to me! You didn't have a hard time turning into one to murder your male classmates!".
"That's the thing, I didn't just turn because I wanted to".
"I see" the woman said, and she stepped down and stood in front of Cassie. "So what makes you turn?".
"I don't know. Anger? Sadness?".
"What about pain?"
"Pain? Well..." Before Cassie could finish her statement, the old lady brought out a knife and slit Cassie's wrist.
"You old psychopath! How dare you?!" Cassie said as she screamed in pain. The old lady smiled and stepped back. Cassie fell to the floor, she could feel herself slowly turning.
"No, no, no" she said continuously. Her 'no' soon turned into a large growl.
"That's enough" The woman said as she hurriedly injected Cassie with a strange liquid. Cassie growled louder in pain until she turned back to her normal self. The old lady stared at her in confusion.
"Are you a wolf or a tiger?".
"I already told that I don't know!".
"You're unidentified for now, here's your student card and dorm key and a bandage for your wrist". Cassie moved forward and snatched it from her. Cassie looked at the student card as she walked out of the large hall into a long hallway.
"Scarlet Unicorn Monster School? What a weird name" She said and looked at her dorm key. The number 206 was engraved on it. She walked down the hallway until she came to a dorm with 206 written on the door. She opened it with the key and screamed in shock when she saw that someone was already inside.
