Chapter 78 - Chapter 78:Owner.

"Ahh!"

Advancing with his sword resting on his shoulder, Inuyasha raises a shout into the air and attacks with a vertical slash towards Kaijinbo. Sensing danger from this change that has occurred in Inuyasha's appearance, Kaijinbo begins to draw more Tokijin power, causing the sword to be imbued with a dark pink aura and his danger to rise qualitatively.

*Shingg

The clash between the two swords causes a small shockwave to advance into the surroundings, though neither seems to have the upper hand by combat strength. Knowing that they are at a stalemate, Kaijinbo further increases Tokijin's power output, then sends Inuyasha flying.

"Agrr!"

"Tsh, you've let yourself be consumed by your sword!"

Inuyasha was certainly a complete novice in sword technique, but he makes up for it with very high, almost animalistic battle instincts. Thanks to the aforementioned, he easily realizes that at some point in the fight he has started fighting the sword and not Kaijinbo.

"Agrr!"

Letting out an animalistic growl that shows his bad mental state, Kaijinbo lifts Tokijin into the air, draws even more power from her and then slashes towards Inuyasha's direction. The power cut created by Tokijin makes a 15 meter crack with ease, but Inuyasha was no fool and taking advantage of that moment of opening, he leaps skyward to then land on Kaijinbo.

"Boom*

The ground under Kaijinbo's feet sinks under the weight of Inuyasha's blow, but still not giving up, Kaijinbo tries to draw more power from Tokijin. It was horrible, for a few seconds Kaijinbo was surrounded by Tokijin's dark pink aura, but then like a balloon, Kaijinbo's body explodes from the negative energy and Tokijin shoots out to a nearby place.

"Ha, ha, ha... It's over."

"You've beaten it, but now what shall we do with that sword?"

"What a staggering amount of negative energy, does your excellency have any solutions?"

As Inuyasha struggles to catch his breath, Kagome points to Tokijin who is still emanating negative energy into the surroundings and upon hearing his words Sango asks the resident monk.

"Umm... What a delicate situation, but maybe..."

"Miroku, isn't it as simple as you sealing it?"

"Right monk Miroku. Can't you do something with your skills?"

Twisting his face as if to say something he doesn't like, Miroku watches both Shippo and Kagome and then lets out a sigh.

"I understand them, but if we want to seal the sword completely a tower would have to be created."

"Then why don't you do it Miroku?"

"Shippo, Shippo, Shippo. It's not just about will, you need more people with spiritual power and money, lots of money"

"Heeee? But you must have money, you've been swindling quite a few people during our trip."

Choking on his own saliva after hearing Shippo's words, Miroku quickly turns his head back to see if anyone has heard him and pitifully they have.

"I certainly didn't think of you as a common monk, but a con man... You have disappointed me, Miroku."

"Did that surprise you Asahiko?"

"Sure, I see it in a whole new light now Shippo."

"Wait... Here's something that doesn't add up. There's always been some sort of alliance between you two, but now you're hitting each other... Asahiko what have you done!"

Both Miroku and Asahiko click their tongues at the same time and look towards Kagome with a "Because you're smart right now" look, before the two look into each other's eyes, then nod to each other.

Ignoring the lack of response from Asahiko, Kagome notices as Asahiko moves from his spot, something can be seen behind him and what else can it be, if not the other missing person from this whole situation, Totosai?"

"He killed him!"

"Don't exaggerate, look I can prove it!"

"Hold it right there Asahiko, you too Miroku!"

Quickly pointing her index finger at Asahiko, Kagome stops him in his tracks and observing Miroku's strange movements, she also stops him in place.

"Wow, I'm innocent!"

"That corpse doesn't say the same thing."

"It's not that bad Sango... Maybe a little."

"Miroku..."

"I'm sorry Asahiko, it's just that you buried his head a meter into the ground."

Giving Miroku a "Traitor" look, Asahiko shrugs and stands still while Sango, Kagome and Shippo go to find Totosai.

Christopher/Asahiko pov.

"She must be destroyed!"

"Go ahead, you have my support."

Talking to Inuyasha as I quietly lean back against a tree, I open one eye and notice how the albino runs towards Tokijin with his sword held high. Just like the previous three times, Inuyasha gets ejected to the side and the rest of the group watch him with tired eyes.

*boom*

"This isn't working!"

"Congratulations, you finally figured it out and here I was thinking I was going to take a few more punches from you!"

Clapping my hands at Inuyasha who seems to have come to the same conclusion as everyone else, I use one of my tails as a pillow and close the eye I had open, I start to enjoy the morning sun.

"Se"

"Slept."

I'm not a sound sleeper, well maybe I am, otherwise how would I have endured sleeping on the floor at all times and places. Throwing out those philosophical thoughts that happen when you first wake up, I am assaulted by the strange sensations my tails are receiving and I lift my heavy eyelid.

"A dream... Yes, it can only be that."

"Umm, Umm, Umm!"

"It's not, get us out of here!"

What did you do to make my tails attack you? Yeah, I'm not kidding, these idiots look like they tried something against me while I was sleeping and ended badly. Miroku is dangling six feet above my head, Shippo is grabbed by one leg while being spun around nearby, Kagome is squeezed by two of my tails and Inuyasha is held at bay by two others.

"What did you guys do, because my tails never do anything wrong, obviously you guys are the bad guys and we all know it."

"You're not going to, Umm! Umm!"

"If you treat them right, they'll treat you right."

Stating the obvious, because my tails would never be bad... Yes, I am a bit impartial in this situation and always will be if my beautiful tails are involved. Giving an end to that line of radical thoughts, I notice a very interesting situation forming between one of my tails and Kagome.

"Who's a good tail? You are a good tail. Now cutie, you can put me down."

"He's just fooling you Kagome! Asahiko, let go of these tails oh I'm going to. Umm, umm"

"Say nice things to her Inuyasha and she will let go of you. They are so soft, have a rich smell and are so warm."

Because of Inuyasha's slip of tongue, my tails started to squeeze him even harder and more brutally, almost as if they were angry. While on the other hand to Kagome, my tails at some point have laid her down on the ground and even started to pat her head.

"Now that you've made up with them, can you tell me what's going on Kagome?"

"I, I, uhh... I."

"Okay, this is useless, Sango, what's going on here?"

Overlooking Kagome who was hesitating on what to say, she looked towards the one person who is not in trouble with my tails.

"It all started like this…"
