Inside a thick dark forest, with huge trees that make the houses look small and a distinctively supernatural aura, a rather special event is taking place.
"Hit him Inuyasha, hit him, hit him, hit him, hit him!"
"Didn't you come to help, so help!"
"I don't want to~ as I recall you had said you didn't need my help."
"And I don't need it. Steel claws!"
On top of one of the huge trees that exist in this forest, a young man with blonde hair, onmyōji clothes that seem to glow and fox-like features such as ears or tails is lying down. Down below struggling on the leafy forest floor is another young man, this one has long white hair, red clothes that looks unharmed and is the one receiving moral support from the other young man.
"Good Inuyasha, you've killed him. By the way, here come the older brothers who are dumb and ugly."
"Asahikoooo!"
Just as Asahiko said, from deep in the forest a duo of yokais begin to appear. The first one was of the humanoid type, it has green colored skin, its height is taller than the average human and its body is strangely disproportionate. The second one reaches a height of three meters easily, its limbs are like dry branches, the skin is sickly white and its face is completely blank.
"teel claws! Steel claws! Steel claws! Steel claws!"
"Why do you hold back Inuyasha? Tear them apart, cut them to pieces, finish them off!"
Inuyasha's attacks seem to go straight for the enemies head, it certainly wasn't a bad plan, but considering it was the hardest place to hit in the heat of battle, it was much better to hit the body. Asahiko easily notices Inuyasha's levitation to attack the bodies, it was almost as if he wanted to end the battle as cleanly as possible, this makes Asahiko start yelling at him again.
"Shut up, shut up, shut up!"
"Umm... Perhaps a more subtle approach is needed. Moon Form:Crescent."
Landing in front of Inuyasha who is already poised for his next attack, Asahiko closes his fan, before launching a forward slash that incinerates those youkais and the trees behind them with a single blow.
Christopher/Asahiko pov.
"Okay, I don't know how to be subtle, so what's wrong with you?"
Tapping one of the branches forming the bonfire, to make it snap back into place, he looked at Inuyasha and threw him the million dollar question.
"I don't know what you're talking about."
"For god's sake, I'm an expert at denying facts and you want to try to fool me still."
"I'm not denying anything!"
"Really Inuyasha? Attacking the vital points, trying to end the battle in one blow, all that being tactical doesn't go well with you"
It's obvious that his transformation has affected him mentally, though maybe it's just him having outlandish thoughts in his mind and what's the best solution for that... Of course a listener, to bring out everything inside.
"Is that... No, why am I going to tell you?"
"Come on get it out of you~"
"Fuck you Asahiko!"
The light from the bonfire keeps the darkness away, it creates shadows on our faces and enlarges those of the surrounding forest, making it look scarier than it really is.
"I consider you a friend and as a good friend, I'm not going to wait for you to be overcome by this problem, before you decide to talk."
"Who wants to be your friend!"
"I don't care about your opinion, now you talk or I'll have to keep doing this for the whole trip."
I've watched too many dramas on TV to put up with one unfolding in front of me and I especially meant it that way about the friendship with Inuyasha. That it's most likely weird/weird?... Yes, but that doesn't change what's real, like the situation with Kikyo.
"I. Me. I enjoyed it…"
"I know my friendship is. I'm sorry, go ahead"
Coughing slightly embarrassed, he looked to the side and I waved my hand at Inuyasha to continue speaking.
"I've never felt so much power as when I transformed... My claws tearing at his flesh, Goshinki's blood bathing my body, all that control and power coursing through my veins."
Holding his hand out in front of his face, Inuyasha opens and closes it, as if he was remembering that feeling of power beyond belief.
"Poof!"
"You're laughing at me!"
"Not at all, we could even say that we are in the same situation right now. Two demons who can't control their instincts, what a funny thing to say."
"What are you talking about? You're a complete demon, you don't have these problems of not being able to control yourself, of being despised, of not belonging anywhere!"
Overlooking his slip of the tongue, I tossed another branch into the fire and using one of my tails drew more branches into my vicinity.
"We are more alike than you can imagine... Much more than you might think. You may have noticed that I keep these tails formed by energy, the lack of the distinctive physical features of demons or my strange mood swings."
"Are you perhaps a freak?"
"I'm going to ignore that and no, I'm not. Now, just like you I am in denial about my situation. My instincts scream to prove my power, that I am superior to all others, I am a pure demon and all must kneel beneath me."
I had to accept it, I've been locked in denial about everything. Damn, Kagome dresses like a schoolgirl and uses a plastic bottle to collect water... She's obviously coming from the same side as me, not that I'm interested in going back to that monotonous life either.
"You know... You're worse off than I am."
"Tsh, leave my mental problems alone and listen well. Most likely even if Totosai fixes Steel Fang, your demon blood won't be completely sealed."
"If it worked before, why not now?"
"Before you never felt that energy, that is to say it was always sealed, but now and at this instant it is running through your body freely. That is to say that now it is totally spread through your body, it will be impossible to seal it completely."
Noticing the dark face of Inuyasha, who seems to fall into deep thoughts, I continue speaking calmly.
"You will have to learn to control yourself at some point and what better time than now, that this power is just awakening."
"Umm, maybe you're right..."
*Muuuu*
Turning my head towards the *Mu*. I see how Totosai's ox/cow has finished eating and recharging its energy. It was time to continue on our way to where that old man of Totosai's is.
