The sky took on reddish hues, marking that it is undergoing the transition from day to night and from light to dark. Beneath this beautiful sunset, a rather large village slowly sinks into the darkness of the night.
*Relincho* *Relincho* *Relincho*.
The neighing of horses was audible throughout the place, their hooves as they scraped the earth and the pounding of horses against the stable. This situation did not go unnoticed by the villagers in the surrounding houses, causing them to arm themselves with anything nearby and rush to the scene.
"The horses!"
"Who was able to do this?
Arriving at the stables that are completely swallowed by darkness, the crowd begins to light their torches and at last get a glimpse of the situation inside. The vitality of the horses had been completely eradicated, but there was no trace of a struggle around the place, almost as if they had been unable to do anything against their aggressor.
"What is that?"
Entering the stable with trembling steps due to the scene of carnage they just observed, the villagers raise their torches for better illumination and there they saw him devouring a horse as if it were a small appetizer. Its body was huge and disproportionate, the upper part being larger than the lower part. It has two horns on top of its head, dark violet skin with a huge spider mark on its back and its jaw is triangular with large teeth and at the same time its eyes are intensely red.
"A. A. A. A demon!"
"Run!"
With the shout as a trigger, the villagers ran off at full speed towards the exit of the stable and that seems to attract the attention of the demon which withdraws its jaw from the horse, then moves like a blur due to its speed.
*Boom*
A part of the stable is forcibly uprooted, due to the exit of an object too big for a place too small. Yes, the demon, as if in a kind of trance, begins to chase the villagers quickly. Some were devoured directly by its jaw, others nailed by its nails before following the same fate and a few simply crushed by force for their enjoyment.
Appearing on a tree in the distance after a breeze blows and observing the macabre spectacle with a slight frown, Kagura the wind demon, seems to fall into some deep thoughts until the demon looks back at him.
"Hehehe. In short sister, you think I just indulge in gluttony."
Crushing the human in his hands and enjoying Kagura's slightly surprised expression, the demon returns to his business as if he has lost interest in such matters.
Christopher/Asahiko pov.
Walking around the surroundings of the hut, I let out some of my energy so that no youkai come close and slightly heightened my senses so I can know if Kagura returns to the attack. Stopping standing guard around the surroundings, I head towards the hut sensing that something interesting had been said inside.
"Yo!"
Forcing open the bamboo curtain again and stepping inside without a care in the world, I'm greeted by the entire group, though also Sango who just looks freshly risen. Ignoring the surprised look of everyone present, I look towards Inuyasha waiting for him to continue talking, though the one who opens his mouth first is Miroku.
"Have you been able to smell the blood in the air too?"
"Miroku, don't you trust my words!"
Considering Miroku's question and ignoring the tantrum Inuyasha is throwing, I focused on the last few minutes I was outside. Well... Nothing comes to mind, though it may be because I've been tricking my senses to leave them at a normal level and that keeps me from feeling anything.
"Inuyasha, Inuyasha. You're injured and the surroundings are littered with bandages with your blood on them. It's normal for us to seek another opinion."
"I can tell my blood from human blood! On the other hand, I can also smell Kagura and something else similar to her... Tsh, it must be another one of those Naraku creations and they are clearly challenging us!"
Watching the situation that soon became about yes we must go to what is clearly a trap or ignore the possible dead, release a bit of the illusion on my senses and let them feel the surroundings. For a few seconds nothing was different, until my senses expanded outside the cabin and there I did feel something strange.
"They can continue with their bullshit later, mainly you Inuyasha. Now let's get out, someone's coming."
Finishing my words and laughing at Inuyasha who chokes on his own saliva, I changed my expression to a serious one, before signaling them to come out right now. After a few seconds of hesitation on their part, it seems they also sensed what was coming this way and after a confirmation among themselves, they followed me to go outside.
"That's... A villager?"
"Kagome. That smells awful."
Oh, looks like the little tanuki has good senses and so does Kikyo's reincarnation, at least she was able to sense that there's something off about him. Wiping away all those thoughts, I analyzed the newcomer looking for the strangeness I feel from him, though it is soon revealed by Miroku and the situation.
"Kyaa, he's disappeared!"
"He was already dead. He was only moving due to Kagura's ability, just like it happened last time."
"Here's a person who wasn't here last time, an explanation please?"
Waving my hand exaggeratedly as the villager's corpse melts into a black liquid, I ask for an explanation as to what is going on and who is better than the brains of the group or so I think it is Miroku.
"During our confrontation with Kagura, she used two skills mainly. Blade Dance, which forms multiple air cuts towards the opponent and the one you just saw called Dance of the Dead, with which she can control dead people."
"It can't be..."
It was a hard blow this revelation, how can it be that we are so equal... It's like this is a joke. This revelation changed my face and even the atmosphere around me, making Inuyasha and his group misunderstand something.
"Who would have thought he cares so much about the proper resting of the dead."
"What, no. Well yes! But, no. It's weird, I'm the guy with the fan and the sword who raises the dead... It's weird that there's suddenly someone so much like me in the equation. Anyway, this is personal now.
It had to be said and it was said! Now I'm really going to hit him with everything and more, much more. Or those things I was thinking, before Inuyasha pulled me out of those thoughts.
"Oh, it would be like a female version based on your persona. Ashika we could call her, so as not to confuse them in the dark."
"They carry weight the words spoken by the one who was beaten by a girl~"
"It was my own ability!"
"I don't know if that makes it better or worse... IF, the only thing that's clear is that she beat you up."
