In the night sky, over a huge mountain range of different shapes and sizes. A huge trail of corpses flies at full speed towards a particular direction as if attracted by something.
"Damn you. let go of Kikyo!"
Letting out a rather loud scream and leaping forward. A white-haired young man with dog ears, red attire and carrying a huge sword. He enters into a power clash with another young man who is in this situation.
"Are you an idiot, this is no time for this!"
Although the words of the young man with blonde hair and fox-like features were certainly just as strong as the dog boy. His face was slowly starting to turn pale, at the same time as the gem on the handle of his sword glowed brighter and brighter. This whole situation was almost a vicious cycle intertwining the young man's color and the glow of his sword.
*Shingg*
*Shingg*
The combat was largely one-sided and not because their strengths are disparate or that one's techniques are superior to the other. Asahiko concentrates solely on defending as if he is supremely careful of something and Inuyasha continues to attack without rest or respite.
"Cloudy fang!"
Gathering reddish energy into the Clouded Fang blade and throwing it with a forward motion, while his face twists into a grimace of annoyance, Asahiko shows off his power for the first time in this fight. Inuyasha dodges that by leaping slightly into the air before taking advantage of the forward motion created by the trail of corpses to come down even harder on Asahiko.
*Boom*
With pieces of flesh and bone coming from the corpses under the feet of both of them flying through the air. Asahiko ends up with his feet buried inside the corpses due to the shock and as if that wasn't enough, violet miasma starts to emanate from the pieces of flesh.
"Cof. You're an idiot dog. Cof. obsessive!"
Coughing a few times for each word she finishes and with her face even paler than before, Asahiko lets out a scream towards Inuyasha before incinerating the bodies in her surroundings thanks to her flames. He then quickly advances to his right side to give a diagonal slash, which is easily parried and even counterattacked by Inuyasha who with his superior strength expels Asahiko's sword upwards before kicking him in the chest sending him backwards.
Christopher/Asahiko pov.
Looking down as I take a slow breath in an attempt to calm down and regain some of my strength, I watch as Inuyasha walks slowly in my direction while resting his sword on his shoulder.
[Drop the resistance... it's useless... you just need to release the power that keeps the handle separated from your hand... just let me help you].
The voice of the Clouded Fang was seductive, as well as the light at the end of the tunnel, but he wasn't going to forget that it's because of him that the situation went so far into disaster. I tighten my grip on Clouded Fang's hilt and make my tails flow to burn away the miasma in the surrounding area, so I could catch my breath. Taking a breath of clean air, I hit the ground reaching Inuyasha's back at a higher speed than the previous time to give a diagonal slash that is stopped by his sword, though I expected that outcome and with a flick of my tail under his legs I trip him before gathering the other five to slam him in the chest against the ground.
*Booooom*
"I guess. Cof. you've. Cof. calmed down."
"Sure, now that you've let go of Kikyo."
Seeing her beaming smile even though her body was totally crushed against the corpses, I put on a doubtful expression before looking towards my seventh tail. It wasn't there! Well, the tail was, only with a huge gash from which golden particles seemed to be coming out. No, the important thing is that Kikyo is not there!
"What have you done! You idiot!"
Before I can finish my words and start looking for Kikyo, the whole place we were fighting on starts to shake, not before increasing its speed, making it impossible to stand still on its surface.
*Boom*
A shockwave runs through the entire wake, sending both Inuyasha and I hurtling towards the mountain below. Inuyasha was able to break his fall making it look like a controlled descent, instead, I landed with full force creating a thick cloud of dust and dirt, though that doesn't stop me from hearing Inuyasha's words.
"Naraku."
"Inuyasha. You don't know how much I would have enjoyed it if you had stayed in the spell until the end."
Tapping my sword to disperse all the dust covering my sight, I watch as Inuyasha talks to a naked man extremely similar to the Lord we encountered in the mansion with Kikyo. Leaving the analysis of this strange scene for another time, he observed Kikyo who is in his hands and steel fang in her normal sword form that is stuck in Inuyasha's vicinity.
"Get your filthy hands off Kikyo!"
"Inuyasha, Inuyasha. With your words my last doubts have been removed...she is Kikyo, your love from 50 years ago and who?"
He couldn't finish his words as Inuyasha quickly grabs steel fang and lunges to attack from the right flank. I also join in the attack causing him to become one of pincers as he appears from his left side.
"Too bad. I'll see you next time."
Reaching close to his body with our two swords, his whole body explodes in violet miasma, causing us to lose his trail and as all the miasma disperses we can only see a violet cloud in the distance.
"Damn it, it's my fault. This is all my fault!"
Although leaving him to his self-flagellation would be interesting, I walk over to Inuyasha and punch him in the face snapping him out of his negative thoughts.
"Shut up already, instead of crying here over spilled milk. You need to be letting your group know you're okay and then let's go find Kikyo."
"I'm coming too."
Seeing that he is more active now, despite the clear bruise mark on his cheek. I turn around before looking where we came from and spotted the mountain still surrounded by small remnants of miasma.
"That's why I spoke in the plural...anyway, let's go this is going to be a long road."
Ignoring the sour taste that spreads through my mouth due to this outcome, my mind goes into serious thinking mode... Yes, that same one that has helped me the first day here and which has been buried since I accepted that all this is real.
