Once on his feet again, Klein was still very weak from the battle of a few moments ago, where he had suffered a lot; although the damage was not mainly physical, it did leave him very exhausted.
Since I've been summoned to this place, I've been injured and suffering for a long time... I sigh, although it's not much different from my life before coming here... Kleint sighs, looking again at the destroyed room.
He quickly looked around the place until he saw the rosary with the black inverted cross close to where he was now, approaching the strange item lying on the ground.
It might not be a good idea to touch that thing that looks like the representation of "He", or it could also be a sealed item like the dark veil that is now a glove? Kleint hesitated, looking at the rosary with the inverted cross.
He feared that the same thing would happen again, like what had happened when the dark veil fell on his hand, and sudden information reached his brain. He felt that if now more information reached his brain, he would most likely become mentally disabled.
Because of the information overload in his brain.
Phew. Kleint exhaled softly, deciding to take the rosary with the inverted cross, totally black.
But as a precaution, he took it with the veil that transformed into a glove in his left hand. Swallowing dry saliva and with a little fear, he slowly lowered his left hand.
He carefully took the rosary with the black inverted cross, holding it in his hand, and felt the hard and cold texture.
Now, Kleint looked at the rosary in more detail.
It is unlike any other conventional rosary. Instead of being the typical cross, it is inverted, which immediately suggests a connotation of mystery and occultism. Most striking is not its inverted position but its overall dark color.
The cross is made of entirely black material, as if it were made of ebony or some deep black metal, adding aura of mystery and darkness to the piece.
A squinted eye is in the center of the rosary, where some "Sacred" figure would typically be. This eye is meticulously carved in the same black material but with a subtle glow that indicates that it is silently observing all that is happening around it.
The half-closed eyelashes suggest a penetrating, watchful gaze as if he is seeing through the veils of the unseen.
The rosary beads are a matte black tone, soft to the touch but unusually cool. Each is engraved with ancient symbols that seem to have meaning beyond what the human eye can comprehend. The grains' softness contrasts with the cross's hardness and coldness, creating a sense of tense balance between the dark and the mysterious.
The rosary exudes an unsettling presence as if imbued with dark, secret energy.
After looking at the rosary in detail, Kleint felt a slight vibration, as if connected to forces beyond human comprehension.
Suddenly, Kleint's eyes grew hot as illusory blood gushed from them.
A sinister, terrifying, depraved language and an indescribable roar rang in his ears. He immediately filled his senses with extreme pain as his body began to convulse and shake uncontrollably.
His face, hands, and areas that were not hidden by his clothing had quickly opened up, revealing his flesh and blood. Inside, black maggots and white moths writhed before forming all nondescript eyes.
Kleint's painful screams and grunts echoed over the entire room, causing Lee Joon, Liana, and Alice to turn their gazes to where he was writhing in pain.
The disgusting and unpleasant scene frightened Lee Joo and Liana enough to look away.
Alice didn't have such an exaggerated response, though.
After two seconds, Kleint threw down the rosary with all his might. He trembled as he stilled at a discernible pace. The cracks in his skin gradually closed as his thoughts returned, allowing him to comprehend his surroundings again.
What the hell was that? I almost lost my mind! What was that language that made me go crazy? Kleint is still trembling with terror and fear for what he just experienced. At the same time, she engraves in the deepest part of her being not to do something like that again in the future.
Because what he just experienced was not pretty at all. Despite everything she experienced, a passing thought passed through her head, and a hollow chuckle drew on her lips.
This would be perfect for torturing Davey... Ah~ I can already imagine the expression... Kleint's cheeks blushed a little, and his eyes turned dark like two black holes.
Feeling Alice and company's presence, his expression is back to normal, though his body still trembles from the experience a few seconds ago.
"What happened because you suddenly started convulsing?" Lee Joon gave him a worried look as he asked nervously without getting too close to Kleint.
Letting out a sigh, he replied, "I don't know, but I think the reason I was convulsing is because of that strange rosary."
"Strange rosary?"
"Yes, it was the rosary the monster we finished earlier had. Also, I think it has some influence from the 'Deity' in the heart of the room."
"So, are that monster and the strange statue related?"
Kleint shrugged, neither confirming nor denying. However, he knew that the Bloodbeast was the former follower of the 'Deity' standing in the center of the room.
"Does that mean that this whole place is related to the era of the mystery?" asked Liana, a little bit turned away from Kleint for fear of experiencing the same thing.
"Most likely yes, but there's no way to know," Lee Joon replied with a shrug because he didn't have a precise answer because it may or may not be connected.
"By the way, Alice, is there any way to seal that rosary so I can wear it?" Kleint looked at Alice, who was listening silently.
"Hmm, I think a momentary way to seal it is to cover it with mana," Alice said casually as if it was no big deal.
Kleint assisted, and as Alice had said, he approached very carefully and covered the rosary with mana very meticulously with the bit of knowledge he had.
Once, he temporarily sealed the rosary and regained much of its strength. Alice looked at everyone and said, while sighing:
"Let's get out of this place before something troublesome happens."
