Noah's heart pounded in his chest as his eyes adjusted to the harsh sunlight. The plateau was a desolate expanse of cracked earth and jagged rocks. There was no sign of life, no vegetation, no water. It was a barren, lifeless wasteland.
But it wasn't the emptiness that chilled him to the bone. It was what stood at the far end of the plateau. A colossal structure, a monolith of black stone, rose from the ground. It was taller than any tree Noah had ever seen, its surface smooth and featureless. It seemed to exude an aura of ancient, malevolent power.
As he drew closer, he could make out strange symbols etched into the stone, glyphs that seemed to writhe and shift before his eyes.
Noah approached the monolith with caution, his heart pounding in his chest. The closer he got, the more imposing the structure became. It seemed to dwarf everything around it, casting a long, ominous shadow over the desolate plateau.
