When he arrived back home, he was surprised to see Aria busy in the kitchen, cooking dinner.
"Hey, cupcake, guess what I bought for you," Alex said with excitement.
Aria looked at her brother who was carrying several bags in his arms.
"Hmm, groceries?" she asked with hesitation, as she thought they had only budgeted for that.
"No, not groceries! Come over here, sis. It is a present for you." Alex said with a warm smile, giving her the bags that he bought for her.
As Aria opened the bags and saw the clothes, computer, and smartphone inside, which were clearly worth more than a thousand dollars, she couldn't believe her eyes.
"Big brother, is everything here for me?" she asked, feeling a bit concerned about how her brother could afford it all and also really excited about having so many things.
Alex guessed what she was thinking and said:
"Don't stress about the money, sis. My job is honest, and it's paying well. From now on, we're going to enjoy a much better life," he reassured her with a tender look in his eyes.
Aria was overjoyed, and she hugged him tightly, nuzzling her head against his chest.
"Thank you for everything, Big Brother," she said emotionally.
They stayed like that for a few minutes, cherishing the moment together.
They watched a movie on their old TV while holding each other, enjoying each other's company.
The following day, before heading to the cafe shop, he went shopping for some ingredients because he wanted to try out a few new recipes.
He spent the entire morning working on the recipes. In the afternoon, he signed the contract for the new apartment, and he could move in the very next day.
Later that day, while Alex and Aria were having dinner, he said to her.
"Sis, I've managed to rent a new apartment, and it's much better than this one. I want you to pack your things so that we can move out tomorrow morning," Alex told his sister while looking at her with a smile.
"What? We're moving?" she asked, her expression filled with surprise.
After thinking for a while, Aria was excited that they could leave this place.
They spent the entire night packing their belongings, which fortunately weren't too many.
In the morning, Alex called a moving company, and together they headed to their new apartment.
Alex and Aria looked at their old apartment, and both felt very emotional as they recalled the memories they had created over the past few years in this place. This was the place they had called home after their parents passed away when they couldn't afford to keep their old house.
This apartment held both wonderful and awful memories for them. It was a significant chapter in their lives that they would never forget
They took a picture together in front of the apartment as a token of farewell and went to the new apartment.
As they arrived, Alex greeted the landlady, and they went to the apartment. It was a brand-new apartment, and they absolutely loved it.
They spent the entire morning organizing their belongings. After having lunch, Alex left for the cafe shop to continue his research and recipe experimentation for the cafe shop.
After a week of intensive research for recipes, Alex came across numerous ideas that had the potential to make the Sky-fall Cafe shop famous all around the country. However, he was well aware that he needed to proceed with caution and take things one step at a time.
In addition to the recipe research, during this week, he had managed to level up twice his knowledge skill in Culinary Arts.
Alex called Sarah to his office.
"Sarah, now that the shop's profits have been stabilized, it's time to expand our business. I was hoping you could find a reliable chef and a skilled barista. I'm going to introduce some unique recipes that will become our trademark." Alex declared.
"Boss, I know someone that we can trust for the cook position. As for the barista, I can put out a job posting and handle that as well. But what are these recipes you have in mind?" Sarah asked, curious about the special recipes that were being referred to as trademarks.
Alex, knowing that Sarah would ask that, said while pointing at the delicious food that was on his table.
"You can have a taste of these two recipes I've invented. This is a milkshake that can be served either hot, cold, or at room temperature. And here's a cheesecake that combines the delightful flavors of vanilla and chocolate." Alex explained.
Sarah took a sip of the milkshake, and her eyes widened immediately. It was the most amazing drink she had ever tasted. It was so delicious that she didn't even realize she had finished the entire cup in just a few moments.
As she came back to her senses, Sarah's eyes sparkled with excitement. She knew that this drink had the potential to become incredibly famous.
A moment later, she also tried the cheesecake, and the same thing happened all over again as she ate the cake as if she were starving.
"Boss, these recipes are absolutely delicious! We're going to become famous!" she said excitedly.
"I'm glad you're on board with the plan, and that's why we'll discuss how we can maximize our profit with these recipes, and we'll also talk about hiring the new employees," Alex said.
Once they had their discussion on how to introduce the new recipes to the public, Sarah went to put the plan into action.
