Chapter 218 - Subdue

When Daisy was about to depart, she discovered something that made her ashamed. Justin owned a private jet, a modified Boeing 767.

This made her envious. Even such a clown had his own private jet; maybe she should consider buying one too?

Flying oneself and being a passenger on a plane were two different things. After asking Justin with great interest, she felt a bit sour inside. $160 million! And that was just the cost of the plane, not including the interior decorations.

The interior of Justin's plane wasn't as luxurious as she had imagined. Daisy guessed that the life of this product had been tight, certainly no match for Stark, and that purchasing a private jet was just for show, a way to maintain appearances.

The plane had two pilots, five flight attendants, and a chef.

The flight attendants were very shapely and kept bending, and even Daisy couldn't help but look at them, but Justin didn't seem to notice them at all. Daisy further confirmed the rumors that he was gay.

To be fair, the interior of the plane was very spacious, featuring bedrooms, bathrooms, dressing rooms, a conference room, and more. It looked like a huge apartment, with pure wool carpet on the floor and metallic ceilings above, equipped with a rear-projection TV and surround sound system.

"How about that?" Justin seemed to find a sense of achievement in her expression. Sitting with his legs crossed, his face was full of pride.

Daisy nodded, "It's more luxurious than any other plane I've been on."

She wasn't lying. The Quinjets had no interior decor and certainly didn't concern themselves with comfort; they were all just big metal plates with rows of seats on either side, and that was it!

"May I invite you to dinner, beautiful lady?" The plane took off quickly, and as the attendants set the table, Justin extended his invitation with what he considered graceful.

Daisy signaled with her eyes for him to send the flight attendants away.

Thinking he had figured it out, Justin snapped his fingers with a smile, signaling the attendants to leave.

With the others gone and before he could speak, Daisy's eyes widened dramatically as she looked out the window, exclaiming, "Look, it's Tony!"

Tony Stark outside his window? Justin quickly turned around, but saw no one. Just as he thought Stark had flown past, he felt something yank him sharply, and then felt bounced around by a force.

"Ah!—oh—" Before he could grasp what was happening, he was already more than 10k meters in the sky, the thin air making it impossible for him to breathe, his face turning red with panic. He didn't dare to struggle because Daisy was holding him with a smile on her face.

How could she be flying in the air? That plane flying away in the distance, was that mine? Justin's mind was a complete mess, the events of the moment overturning everything he knew in his life.

Her five beautiful white fingers grasped his collar effortlessly, as if holding a pillow. Justin felt as if he had suddenly entered a nightmare.

"Mr. Justin Hammer, do you understand? Nod if you do, and if you don't…" Daisy's eyes were terrifying as she let go of three fingers, now holding his collar with only her thumb and forefinger.

The high-quality shirt made an overstressed noise as Justin felt like he would surely fall the next second. He wanted to grab Daisy's arm, but the action that would have been effortless on the ground was impossible at 10,000 meters high with no leverage and no room for frantic struggling; he could only spread his limbs and nod desperately.

Daisy wanted to subdue him without excessive provocation, and flicked her fingers backward, opening a portal and throwing Justin through it. Over the past two years, she had been practicing precise location targeting, and now locating a plane that hadn't flown far was not difficult at all.

Justin felt a strong force bounce him into a nameless space, and when he regained his ability to move, he found himself sitting back in his seat from just moments before.

Daisy soon returned to the plane.

Without attending to a still-shocked Justin, she began to eat on her own. The chef had prepared French cuisine, a fried fish sprinkled with spices and topped with tomato sauce.

Daisy hadn't specifically learned Western dining etiquette, but her training as a special agent wasn't for nothing; when she wanted to, she could eat with great elegance.

She pushed the fried fish aside, poured the sauce over the baguette beside her, and poured herself a glass of red wine, leisurely beginning her meal.

Before long, the chef served a plate of foie gras and a small dish of smoked bacon. She accepted them without refusal, her demeanor gentle and movements tranquil, a stark contrast to the figure who had been holding someone 10,000 meters up in the air just three minutes earlier.

"You… you!..." Justin didn't recover until she had finished eating, his calves cramping and the severe pain making him know that he wasn't dreaming.

"Do you know why those behind-the-scenes shareholders so readily handed their shares over to me? Do you know why I possess this knowledge? Do you know where my money comes from? You know nothing. Just focus on your tasks, be a good assistant, got it, Mr. Hammer?"

As Daisy gracefully wiped her lips, the clean napkin and her delicate red lips made a striking image, but to Justin, it seemed almost as if Daisy was ready to devour him.

He wanted to run, but trapped at an altitude of 10k meters, there seemed nowhere to go. He thought about shouting for help, but Daisy controlled a fork levitating in front of him, preventing him from making any rash moves.

"That's right, our cooperation is still very pleasant. Look, Hammer Industries is still yours, at least outwardly. And if someone bullies you, I can still stand up for you. Isn't that nice?" Daisy was also struggling, maintaining the magnetic force on the fork as a threat while simultaneously using her psychic abilities to subtly coerce him.

Her psychic powers could only influence those of weaker will. To gain Justin's compliance, she had spent the afternoon playing the role of someone all-knowing, finally breaking his psychological defenses with a powerful strike from outside the plane, allowing her to seize the opportunity at his most vulnerable.

People like Obadiah Stane and Ivan Vanko, with their ironclad wills and resolute minds, will be unaffected by such assaults.

Justin's head leaned as far back as possible, his whole body shrinking into the back of his seat, but the fork remained suspended ten centimeters in front of his face. Not being particularly brave, he quickly chose to comply without much thought.

"Yes, I'll listen to you, our cooperation is very pleasant…" Justin deluded himself with these words. As his resistance faded, submissive thoughts took over. Daisy's arguments seemed reasonable to him; he was just in it for the money after all, and if someone could help him make money and gain fame, what was there to complain about?

Slowly, his thoughts were swayed by Daisy's half-hearted psychic abilities, shifting from thoughts of escape and calling for help, and he even found comfort in having a powerful ally.
