===================
The conversation between the two quickly ended, while the battle in the distance continued. Just when Ajax was about to hack Abomination to death, a sudden change occurred.
A group of strangers suddenly stormed into the fray. They were dressed entirely in yellow, resembling biohazard suits, with face masks resembling gas masks. The weapons they wielded were highly technological, and over a dozen of them not only broke through the Delta Force's defense but also surrounded Abomination.
Each of them possessed astonishing combat prowess. Daisy watched as the three of them joined forces to suppress Abomination, and they could drive Ajax and Lady Deathstrike back.
Their weapons were advanced, but what was most terrifying was their individual combat power. Caught off guard, the majority of the troops were forced into a hasty retreat by their relentless attacks.
"Establish a defensive line, hold steady, use grenades!" The Delta Force captain kept issuing orders, but under the relentless assault of the yellow-clad men that exceeded the limits of the human body, their defensive line couldn't hold.
Who were these people? Or rather, whose people were they?
Daisy quickly pulled out the laptop she had used to code algorithms at the Pentagon and connected with the Department of Defense.
The Pentagon fell silent. They were all wondering if these suddenly appearing yellow-costume people were agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.? Were they new experimental products of your X-Weapon program?
"These are definitely not S.H.I.E.L.D. agents!" Nick Fury reacted the fastest and was the most furious, discovering that there was a group of unknown enemies secretly hidden.
"Nor are they products of the X-Weapon program, I assure you." Stryker's connection was a step slower, but he also urgently stated his position, seemingly feeling that his reputation wasn't too good and emphasized it again.
Realizing that these weren't members of the two major organizations, Secretary Robert looked somewhat subtle. If they weren't outsiders, then they must be insiders, right? He looked at several suspicious generals in the joint meeting. Each of them controlled projects and had military personnel under their command. Establishing a secret force wouldn't be too difficult for them. Who could it be?
Several generals looked dumbfounded, each of them swearing oaths and vowing that they had nothing to do with it.
Seeing the generals swear on God and their parents, wives and children, Secretary Robert was completely confused. If no one was lying, then where did these men in yellow on the screen come from?
Daisy's gaze narrowed. She had already figured out the background of these mysterious people; they were from A.I.M. They used to be an important member of Hydra, but they had deep conflicts with Baron Strucker, and wanted independence.
In the Marvel world, the miscellaneous villains liked to use colors to distinguish themselves: red for the Hand, yellow for A.I.M., and green for Hydra.
Apart from the Extremis virus, she couldn't think of anything else that could allow these three miscellaneous soldiers to suppress Abomination, who could fight the Hulk.
However, A.I.M. was currently hiding very deeply. She had no evidence to expose this organization and could only look at the battlefield with a confused expression.
Secretary Gates, inside the Pentagon, looked at the technicians. "Can you confirm the identities of these people?"
The technicians were sweating profusely, but the satellite didn't have X-ray capabilities. They couldn't see anything through the thick protective suits.
"Miss Johnson, do you have a solution?" Their video call was still connected, and Secretary Gates turned to Daisy, who was more and more like a technician.
She frowned and contemplated for a moment. "Gamma rays have strong penetration capabilities. We can control the satellite to rapidly charge for a short period of time, simulate some of the characteristics of gamma rays, and forcibly penetrate their protective suits. However, in doing so, the satellite will suffer some damage."
It's just a satellite. The U.S. military has plenty of money. Right now, it's just some damage, not falling out of the sky. Mr. Secretary immediately agreed.
Daisy helped set the parameters, and soon the initial scan results came out, giving everyone a surreal feeling.
The images displayed showed human bodies glowing red, if this wasn't a satellite scan distortion, it indicated that the people had extremely high temperatures inside them.
The generals might not be experts in science and technology, but they still have common sense.
"How much body temperature is this?" one of them asked.
"At least eighty degrees, hmm?" Daisy hadn't finished speaking when she noticed a new change on the battlefield. A man in yellow that had been irradiated by her pseudo-gamma rays suddenly erupted. His clothes fell off in tatters, as if a fire was burning inside his body. Amidst his agonizing screams, his strength, speed, and overall abilities began to increase significantly.
"Hehe, your rays have strengthened him, Agent Johnson. I have to say, you're quite innovative." Stryker, who had been watching the show, made sarcastic remarks while also thinking. The unknown energy enhancement inside the person's body, along with the gamma-ray enhancement, seemed like something he could add to his experiments.
The generals were at a loss, and the major battle was nearing its end.
The team sent to capture the Big Brain was wiped out by another group of yellow-clad people, and then he was taken away by the enemy.
Meanwhile, a dozen or so people swarmed in, with the gamma-ray-strengthened yellow soldier at the forefront. They attacked Abomination relentlessly, finally bringing him down through a barrage of blows.
Ajax and Lady Deathstrike were also beaten back and returned to Stryker's side.
"What are you waiting for? Counterattack! I want these enemies captured!" The Secretary of Defense didn't care whose henchmen the yellow-clad people were anymore. Sitting in his position, he had to show a firm stance at this moment.
Three of the yellow-clad people grabbed Abomination and fled, while the remaining few blocked the pursuit.
Nick Fury whispered to Daisy, "Can we capture one of them? I want to see who they are."
"Alive or dead?" Daisy asked.
"Preferably alive."
"Okay, you wait here."
She bypassed the main force from a distance, transforming back into her Inhuman form and avoiding satellite surveillance in the forest. Soon, she caught up with the three people who had fled initially.
Stay here! Daisy directly used the Atomic Slicer, aiming at the person closest to her. The silver threads flashed, cleanly slicing off one of his feet. This kind of atomic-level slicing was difficult for even the powerful healing ability of the Extremis virus to repair. The yellow-clad man was caught off guard and fell to the ground.
The remaining two people didn't know what had knocked down their companion. They focused solely on their mission, ignoring their comrade's situation, and continued to flee with Abomination.
Daisy didn't pursue them after capturing her prisoner. She injected a high dosage of tranquilizer and circled back around, reuniting with Nick Fury, who had left the main force alone.
"The body temperature is so high. Can you tell what kind of enhancement this is?" Nick asked.
"I haven't done a specific analysis, so I'm afraid I can't tell," Daisy shook her head, indicating that she didn't know. To her, it seemed somewhat like the Extremis virus, but not entirely. It looked more like an early version.
The two didn't rejoin the main force but waited for a while until Hawkeye arrived in a Quinjet to pick them up.
They landed at another one of Nick Fury's secret bases, where some agents Daisy didn't recognize took the prisoner away for blood tests and identification.
