Daisy's reaction time was much faster than average. After her initial surprise, she glanced at the man's car, also a Porsche, a red Porsche 911. Even if Captain America crawled out of an iceberg, he would never drive a car like that.
Moreover, many details didn't match Captain America's description. This young man was too frivolous. Unlike Tony Stark's outwardly carefree appearance but solid substance, this young man gave Daisy the impression of someone who was just showing off his face...
"Did I surprise you with my looks? Haha!" The man's smile deepened, as if this experience wasn't the first time for him.
"To tell you the truth, I'm related to Captain America. He's my distant cousin... My father's photo album even has pictures of them together. Want to go with me to take a look later?" His tone was frivolous, his manner exaggerated.
Suddenly, as if remembering something, he rummaged through the car for a few seconds and finally pulled out a magazine. The cover featured Daisy's full-body photo shoot for Vanity Fair.
"Hey, I've seen you. You're even more beautiful than in the photos. What's your name? How about going out for dinner later? I know a restaurant with a great atmosphere..."
He hadn't finished speaking when Daisy recognized this guy—Johnny Storm, the Human Torch of the future Fantastic Four. His sister was Susan Storm, the wife of Mr. Fantastic, Reed Richards. Johnny was Reed's brother-in-law, and together with Ben Grimm, Reed's best friend, The Thing, they formed a legitimate superhero family.
The Fantastic Four hadn't debuted yet. With his character always being free-spirited, Johnny had gained the affection of many young women with his face resembling Captain America's.
Unashamed, he spent his days among flowers, living a life of drunkenness and happiness.
"Boring," she said coldly. Seeing the light ahead turn green, she stepped on the gas pedal and sped off.
Unexpectedly, after just over ten seconds of driving, the engine behind her roared again, and Johnny caught up from behind.
"Nice car you got there. Interested in a race?" Johnny asked with interest. Not only did he ask, but he also demonstrated it with action, stepping on the gas pedal, accompanied by the roar of the engine, and Johnny shot out directly.
Daisy was speechless. While American traffic was indeed good, they were currently on Long Island, where the roads were even better. But there were no other vehicles around. Was it really okay to race so openly?
Speed limits were enforced on highways. Many sports stars and celebrities have been caught speeding. Daisy considered herself generally law-abiding; it had nothing to do with superpowers, just a matter of character.
"Quick, catch up with him! He's getting away!" Daisy wasn't planning to participate in any boring racing games, but Lorna was getting anxious, almost wanting to grab the steering wheel and drive herself.
"Okay, okay, calm down. You don't want to use magnetic control on the streets." After a second of thought, Daisy changed her mind to avoid being looked down upon by Lorna. It was just a speed limit; if Johnny wasn't afraid, why should she be?
The IRS, known to be more ferocious than the FBI, didn't dare to audit her taxes. Would a few traffic cops dare to come knocking on her door?
With her flying speed faster than a sports car, she wasn't afraid of this challenge at all.
"Stay seated," she instructed Lorna. This child showed no fear or any other emotions. Her eyes were full of excitement, as if even more excited than Daisy.
With the accelerator floored, the engine roared, bursting out maximum horsepower. The car shot forward like an arrow released from a bow, overtaking Johnny after nineteen seconds.
Johnny was taken aback by the sudden acceleration. He might be a bit frivolous, but he wasn't a bad person. He didn't want Daisy and her group to get into any accidents.
Daisy glanced at the speed of the pursuing vehicle in the rearview mirror. With just two glances, she knew he couldn't catch up. She had already pushed the performance of her car to the limit, and Lorna was excitedly cheering, but Johnny, being an ordinary person, no matter how skilled he was at driving, couldn't catch up with her.
Focused solely on chasing, Johnny couldn't analyze many details, but he could see Daisy's skill at the wheel. It was strong, very strong!
All his flirtatious thoughts were thrown out the window. Johnny was now serious. He didn't disdain scientific research, nor could he commit to a regular job, but if even his driving skills were surpassed, what meaning did his life hold, especially being outdone by a beautiful woman? It left him feeling somewhat hopeless about the future.
Chase! He must catch up! He had already staked everything on this race. He might fall, but he couldn't lose.
"Quick, Daisy, go faster! That guy's catching up!" Lorna kept an eye on the situation behind them, while Johnny was pushing himself to the limit, using some underhanded tricks.
Daisy glanced at the rearview mirror and suddenly realized, "This guy's car has been modified. Well then, I won't hold back."
The steering wheel was on the left side in America. With her right hand gripping the wheel, Daisy extended her left hand out of the window, applying gravity to the car. Her already-maximized speed increased even further out of thin air.
"Am I dreaming? How can a Carrera GT reach this speed?" Johnny's face was full of disbelief. As a seasoned racer of ten years, he could immediately tell there was something wrong with Daisy's car.
This speed exceeded the car's maximum speed. Those speeds were all calculated in laboratories, theoretically unattainable under normal driving conditions. Yet here Daisy was, surpassing them by a large margin! The speed must have exceeded 400 kilometers per hour!
Feeling that using her abilities to bully others was a bit much, Daisy quickly slowed down and turned into a side road, entering the New York City area.
"Damn it!" Johnny cursed angrily, parking his car by the side of the road. Despite using nitro for acceleration, he still couldn't catch up with her. The result was clear: the other party had better modification technology.
With his own knowledge unable to continue the modifications, he decided to go back and ask for help from his sister's quasi-boyfriend, the genius scientist Reed.
...
Daisy quickly forgot about Johnny's incident. This time, they had set off from Long Island to visit Midtown High School in New York City. Despite its name, it included middle school as well. Midtown High was the best high school in New York, where many wealthy kids attended. The school had a good atmosphere and high-quality education.
Her acquaintance, Peter Parker, also attended this school.
When students enrolled, they certainly had to talk to the principal. Daisy saw the principal of this school and was completely taken aback.
She wore a face of disbelief, looking at the middle-aged man in front of her. He wore a checkered shirt, trousers, leather shoes, and glasses, with a low hairline and an honest face.
Was this Phil Coulson? Did he have a twin brother? Just a few days ago, they were teaming up to fight the Hulk. When did he become the principal of a high school?

The Fantastic Four setup is based on the old movie. Still, you can imagine the characters however you want, like the new casting of Pedro Pascal for Reed :)
Coulson became principal after the debut of Spiderman, but this is earlier here.
