Two metal figures swiftly clashed together, dragging Daisy's fortune. Currently, Stark had ample energy and could be considered in the best combat condition. On the other hand, the reactor in Obadiah's "bucket" showed performance inferior to the original.
There was a delay in operation, a slow supply of energy, and uneven speed output. The accumulation of these weaknesses that couldn't be considered weaknesses unwittingly put Obadiah at a disadvantage.
"Who do you think will win?" The vehicle was moving fast, and Daisy, once again with Coulson, teleported, faithfully practicing what observation meant. They remained still, even watching the battle as if it were a show, discussing it among themselves.
There was no suspense in this question. "It should be Stark; Obadiah's energy supply is worse," Daisy said calmly, as if it had nothing to do with the whole affair.
"Then which armor do you think is more suitable for production?"
Daisy found it strange, "Of course, Obadiah's armor is more suitable for production. Stark's armor is too expensive and not suitable for large-scale deployment."
She didn't mention that Stark's armor also had artificial intelligence built in, while Obadiah's armor only had an exoskeleton motion control system. The control systems of the two were not on the same level, making them entirely incomparable.
Iron Man could perform many complex actions that Obadiah couldn't. Perhaps Obadiah and the chief scientist had thought about this issue and designed a big, clumsy Iron Tyrant, relying on thick armor to compensate for its lack of agility.
This brute force method could be effective to some extent, but it was not a sustainable strategy. As they chased each other on the highway, Obadiah quickly fell behind, resorting to unconventional moves.
"Kill that woman!" His voice echoed from the controller, buzzing and somewhat distorted.
His purpose was, of course, not to kill Pepper but to distract Tony.
As expected, when the mercenary held a gun to Pepper's head, Tony's attention shifted, and Obadiah then proceeded to beat him on the ground.
"We are going to save Miss Potts. Can you teleport me there?" Coulson said anxiously.
Daisy looked into the distance. Her vision was indeed good, but not superhuman. In the dark night, with a considerable distance between them, the scene was somewhat blurry. It seemed like there were three or four enemies in the truck.
In less than ten seconds, Stark had been beaten on the ground by Obadiah, and the truck was already far from the point of their confrontation.
Daisy looked at her own attire, it was not suitable for combat. But she figured Coulson would have a hard time handling it alone, so she opened a portal above the truck. Soon, they both teleported.
The truck was moving fast, and Daisy floated in mid-air, throwing Coulson onto the top of the truck. She then landed on the roof herself.
The wind roared on the truck's roof. Coulson lay prone, making gestures to inquire about their next move.
Daisy extended her sharp nails, cut a large hole in the truck's roof, and jumped down first.
Her dress was quite deceptive. The four fully armed mercenaries initially didn't realize her purpose when she jumped from the sky. A beautiful woman dropping from nowhere? Were their eyes playing tricks on them?
Daisy noticed a large lump on the back of Pepper's head; she was already unconscious.
This saved a lot of trouble. With swift movements, Daisy's nails sliced through the throat of a nearby mercenary, splattering blood. Finally, the remaining three mercenaries realized what was happening and immediately raised their guns.
Close-range gunfire posed a threat to Daisy, and the cramped space inside the truck could be troublesome if a their was a ricochet or something.
She kicked one mercenary in his dick, not because of any dark thoughts but due to the limitations of her dress – she could only kick so high. Then, a shockwave knocked the furthest mercenary out of the truck.
The remaining mercenary was approached by Coulson, and they engaged in close combat.
In terms of hand-to-hand combat skills, Coulson was far inferior to Crossbones, even more so to John Garrett. But Coulson, as a Level 8 agent, didn't rely on seniority.
He swiftly defeated the enemy with three punches and two kicks. Daisy also took care of her opponent. The two of them, with the unconscious Pepper, left the truck.
Coulson informed Stark that the hostage was rescued, and Tony, previously suppressed by Iron Tyrant, instantly recovered.
Despite Obadiah's desperate resistance, with inferior operating systems, energy supply, and mechanical design, he ultimately lost embarrassingly.
"I'll be going now," Daisy said awkwardly. The nails were lethal and the visual impact were cool, but it was too bloody. Her hands were now sticky with blood, making her uncomfortable.
Seeing Tony Stark pulling Obadiah out of Iron Tyrant, she knew her part was over. She waved to Coulson, teleported back home.
Shower, sleep – unfortunately, she had barely laid in bed for two hours when her phone rang, disturbing her by Fury's call.
"I need your professional opinion. I'm downstairs."
Despite her initial reluctance, she put on a T-shirt, grabbed a pair of jeans, and took Dumpling with her. While others walked their dogs, she walked her lion...
The two met in a park not far from Daisy's apartment.
The place had become Dumpling's territory, and nearby pet now circled around the park to avoid it.
"What do you think of Tony Stark's armor?" Nick Fury asked, eyeing the lion following Daisy. His eyelid twitched involuntarily. The lion at Daisy's feet, like a big cat, gave him a strange look, as if recognizing him, then dropped its head back down, continuing to nap.
Daisy wasn't fully awake either. She couldn't help but grumble at Fury for waking her up in the middle of the night to discuss armor.
Yawning, eyelids fighting to stay open, she patted the lion's head before responding, "It's good, strong in all aspects."
"If I provide you with the necessary materials, can you replicate this armor? The power system is the most important part, right?"
Daisy often regarded S.H.I.E.L.D. as her private property, looking at problems from a high perspective. She immediately understood Fury's intention.
She didn't answer the question right away, contemplating for a moment. "It's difficult. I don't have Tony Stark's mechanical engineering knowledge, and the operating system is also a big issue. If S.H.I.E.L.D. were to replicate it, we could achieve a level slightly higher than Iron Tyrant at best."
Fury, unaware that Daisy had named herself as the director, and began considering issues from the Director's perspective, appreciated her foresight, feeling that she understood his intentions before he spoke.
"Several experts believe his mechanical armor is invincible in the world." Fury seemed to be stating a trivial matter that had nothing to do with him.
Daisy laughed. Fury probably thought she was young and easily excited. Although she understood his intention, she still felt annoyed.
