Chapter 139 - Upgraded Obadiah

===================

Obadiah didn't mention buying Daisy's design at all. First, he estimated that Daisy wouldn't sell, and Stark Industries is currently in a precarious situation. While resources are easily accessible, cash is in short supply. Nobody is stupid. It must cost an astronomic number.

His idea was to let the old man learn from Daisy. Before, the reactor was five meters long and three meters high, and he couldn't understand it. Now, he's watching Daisy make two of them. This time, he should be able to learn, right?

However, the old man's next words made his heart cold. "There are still many technical challenges; I don't understand how she solved them..."

To prove that he's not useless, the old man worked hard. He took out his notebook, filled with a plethora of data meticulously recorded.

Obadiah wore an unbelievable expression. Clenching his teeth, he asked, "You spent fifteen days with her! The finished products are already made, and now you're telling me you still haven't figured it out?!"

The 1.6-meter-tall old man was sprayed with saliva by the 1.8-meter-tall Obadiah, but he dared not wipe it. Trembling, he replied, "Daisy Johnson is a highly promising quantum physicist. Though the scientific community has not yet recognized her as an authority, it's only a matter of time..."

Obadiah waved his hand. "I don't care what field of expertise she's in. I'm asking you! Can you do it?!"

Flipping through his notes, the old man shook his head after careful consideration. "There are many aspects I haven't figured out. I can't do it..."

Realizing Obadiah's dissatisfaction, he quickly added, "Like Tony Stark, Daisy Johnson is a genius, but I'm sorry, I'm not. I don't have so many brilliant ideas. Please give me more time..."

Obadiah took deep breaths. He was afraid he might lose control and strangle the waste in front of him. Eventually, he didn't take drastic measures since the old man, William, was his most skilled scientist.

At least the old man could understand about 50 to 60 percent of Daisy's design, whereas others couldn't comprehend even 30 percent.

Regardless of the outcome, Obadiah could only admit that there was a gap between genius and ordinary people.

"Since we've saved time in energy, the transmission and firepower of this armor should be enhanced!"

Obadiah didn't give the old man a chance to refuse. "You continue researching the energy issue. I want to see the finished product soon. The armor also needs an upgrade. Iron Monger 1.0 becomes Iron Tyrant 2.0!"

...

Daisy didn't know she had caused a lot of trouble for others. The old man, William, indeed had substance, and the parts he couldn't figure out were mostly the ones Daisy suppressed with her abilities.

She did it discreetly, and it couldn't be seen from the outside.

The performance of the two reactors was similar. Once the supercomputer was installed, it could power the computer.

Hardware installation and buying a house both took some time. Daisy took time off to attend the screening of the movie Saving Private Ryan.

Happy, the fat bodyguard, really enjoyed making movies. He secluded himself for shooting and discovered that Stark was kidnapped and escaped three months later after the movie was finished.

Stark could become a superhero, he has an open mind. He dismissed the guilt of the fat bodyguard, even expressing his willingness to play a role in his next movie.

Skye Entertainment wasn't a newcomer. As the company expanded, some people have subtly suggested to the higher-ups that it's better to follow the rules and hold a regular screening, not appearing too unconventional in the industry.

As the actual manager of the film industry, Mr. James Wesley was a drug seller. He really didn't know the hidden rules of the industry. Now, after careful consideration and consultation with Daisy, he readily agreed.

The screening was not small, after all, Daisy became a celebrity with the ice bucket challenge.

The movie "Saving Private Ryan" contains a lot of positive elements, and under the money offensive, many media and film critics chose to forgive Skye Entertainment.

Happy's directorial skills have become better. Lieutenant Miller was played by John Garrett with all his agent skills. He depicted a war-weary veteran with perfection, shaking hands and trembling shots, expressing a clear sense of powerlessness amid despair.

The film begins with the brutal landing battle, where media reporters and film critics who were watching couldn't figure out what was happening before several ships full of people died. The scenes were chaotic, and it was hard to tell who the main character was. Soldiers crawled with intestines dragging, and wounded personnel had limbs blown off.

There were cries everywhere, with casualties and blood staining the river red. Many agents played extras in this scene, appearing as a large number of elites who were shot dead by a single bullet without effectively contributing.

The people may have dreams, they may have lovers back home, but they didn't show their own value and became corpses on the battlefield. The cruel scene attracted everyone's attention.

"You must be against war, right?" Happy, who originally sat next to Daisy, moved to the back. Tony Stark sat next to Daisy, and he looked at the movie for a while before asking as if talking to himself.

"I am against war, but I am not afraid of war." She seemed to find her tone a bit extreme and explained, "It's better to avoid it if possible."

"Then why did you help Obadiah with the Ark Reactor?" Tony Stark's face was very serious.

Daisy wasn't afraid at all; purchasing the supercomputer was definitely a big deal, and afterward, Stark Industries waived her "down payment," installation fees, transportation fees, and various other costs. She hadn't planned to hide it.

Acting strangely, she said, "Is there a problem with that? If I can save some costs, I don't see any reason to refuse."

One sentence left Stark speechless. The conflict with Obadiah currently only revolved around his unauthorized sale of missiles, and even that conflict remained hidden from the surface. Not to mention the outside world, even Pepper Potts and Happy didn't know about it.

He indeed had no reason to accuse Daisy, but he was not happy. Lowering his voice, he questioned, "That is my father's research achievement. Your actions are theft..."

Daisy rolled her eyes and chuckled lightly, "I get it now. Obadiah showed you that reactor, right? The old man is quite cunning. He probably didn't understand some key technical points, and he wanted to use your personality to extract the secrets, didn't he?"

Stark sounded disdainful, "What you made is so crude that anyone can understand it with a rough look!"

Daisy looked him up and down. There were still some bruises on his forehead, but he was much stronger than when he was just rescued.

"Actually, there are a few parameters in that reactor that you don't understand either, am I right?"
