Emory carefully counted his steps as he walked behind Jerome who also walked sluggishly but for a different reason. He was scared down to his bone marrow, you could tell by the abnormal amount of sweat that decorated his large forehead and the way his knees buckled with each step he took.
"If you know what E.V.E is, then why do you still follow her?" Emory asked out of the blue, fatigue evident in his voice.
