Two days had passed since Emory's discharge from the hospital, he spent the past days alternating between reading, sleeping, and spending time with Mirianne mostly watching television, he didn't fancy watching tv, but what he truly enjoyed was not the content of the tv but the time he spent with his mother. He had finished reading whatever he could from the book he took from the Sinclairs' collection, though not all of it but a significant amount.
The school was still on lockdown, so once again he was restless and bored. Mirianne had resumed working again, so Emory was left home alone with nothing to spend his time on.
