In a vast, spacious hall adorned with statues of all kinds of creatures, the marble floor and the green columns seemed to be made of jade, while streaks of gold filled the cracks, perhaps caused by a recent battle, leaving the room slightly damaged.
However, this had in no way diminished the majesty of the chamber.
A throne occupied by a figure leaning to one side, supporting its head in its hand resting on its jaw, legs crossed, displayed an exasperated expression on its noble face.
Neither too young nor too old, the figure had human features, but its two long goat-like horns and hooved legs betrayed its true nature. In this hall, it was the undisputed ruler, its cold, disdainful gaze fixed on a figure kneeling humbly before the throne.
"O Lord Sevirea, please punish me, for I have yet to manage the situation properly. We have suffered far more losses than expected," said the kneeling figure in a humble voice that slightly betrayed its fear.
