Seth observed the scene from his vantage point, perched on a small hill that provided an unobstructed view of the battlefield. The piercing cries, the clash of weapons, and the eruptions of magic echoed up to him, amplifying the chaos below.
From his position, he could see nearly everything. Yet, he remained cautious, well-hidden behind tall grass and scattered rocks at the hill's summit. The earlier incident was still etched into his mind.
A stray arrow had whistled so close to his face that he felt the wind of its passage. Its sharp tip could have easily pierced his skull. Panicked, Seth had flattened himself against the ground, heart pounding so hard it drowned out all other sounds, paralyzing him for several seconds. Now, he crawled on his stomach whenever he dared to inch his head forward for a better view.
