Cliff straightened up abruptly, staring intently at the creature standing before him.
"I know I'm weak," he declared calmly. "That's why I'm here, on this battlefield."
Raknat let out a low laugh, hiding an amused smile as he placed a hand on his forehead, as if he had just heard a tasteless joke.
"A battlefield, really? Do you even know what that truly means, young man?" Raknat raised an eyebrow. "Have you ever wondered why the Manticore hasn't yet ordered his army to advance? Why he needs to ally with other territories to face the Cursed Serpent?"
With a confident step, he moved toward Cliff and placed a hand gently on his shoulder, his eyes piercing into Cliff's.
