Seth emerged from the dark cave, stumbling over the thick snow. The pale light of dawn cast a faint glow over the white expanse. The cold hit him brutally, seeping into his bones. His bare feet sank into the snow, each step draining more heat from his already weakened body.
He stopped, breathless, eyes lost in the icy landscape. Free, yet terribly vulnerable. Without proper clothing or supplies, nature itself seemed to conspire against him. Seth scanned the horizon, searching for a landmark. All he saw was white as far as the eye could see.
He knew he couldn't remain still. The cold would kill him as surely as the chains he had just escaped. Despite the pain that numbed his limbs, he began to move. Each step was a battle against the numbness. He recalled survival techniques, but here, they all seemed futile. Still, he had no choice but to keep going.
