Yoonjin raised his head hearing a knock on the window. He saw Chaeyoung standing with a lady behind her, he opened the doors to let them in.
"I have to drop this in the trunk". Chaeyoung said pointing at the luggage.
The trunk automatically opened and she placed the luggage in.
Jia blankly stared at the fine man in the driver's seat, her breath hitched in her throat, she could not bear to look away. His hand lazily held on the wheel, he was staring at the rear view mirror with full focus.
Jia expression immediately turned sour, realizing he was staring at Chaeyoung who was placing her luggage in the trunk, paying no attention to her, he didn't even say anything to her.
She bit her lips angrily as she stared at Chaeyoung who walked towards her.
"You can come in Jia". Chaeyoung said.
Jia quickly covered her sullen look with a smile, quickly rolled her hair in a loosed bun before entering the car.
Chaeyoung closed the door and entered the car.
"This is my cousin Jia". She introduced her to Yoonjin.
"..hi". Yoonjin said looking at Jia through the rear view mirror.
Jia waved with a small smile, as she tucked in invisible strands of hair behind her ear.
"And Jia this is umm..." Chaeyoung paused and looked at Yoonjin. She did not know what to introduce him as, whether a friend or a boyfriend.
She did not want say anything that would seem like she was going too far.
"I'm Yoonjin, her fiancé".
She turned to look at Yoonjin whose eyes was fixed on her, looking at her with some sought of emotion she could not understand.
"Oh hi, I'm Jia". Jia said in a low voice, smiling shyly, blushing a little.
Yoonjin's gaze retreated from Chaeyoung's.
"Your seatbelt Chae". He said, she pursed her lips and wore the her seatbelt.
Yoonjin started the engine, and checked if they were both ready before the car accelerated.
The ride back to Chaeyoung's house was quiet as no one was ready to speak up as they were all deep in different thoughts.
While the soon-to-be couples in the front seats thought about their relationship, Jia at the back kept staring at Yoonjin, imagining all soughts of sceneries in her head with them both.
She stared at him, blushing while she watches his large veiny hand held the wheel, and the other was rested on the armrest beside him. His gaze was fixed on the road and a few times turn to Chaeyoung, this action pained Jia any time she noticed it.
She took her phone and went to through it, to prevent him from noticing her intense gaze on him, and cause him to feel weird about her presence.
After few minutes, the car stopped at a red light.
"Are you alright?". Yoonjin turned to Chaeyoung, her head was leaning on her hand and it seemed she was deep in thoughts.
Chaeyoung raised her head shook her head and sighed.
"I'm fine, I'm just a bit tired". She raised her head and gave him a reassuring smile.
"Is it because you slept late last night?".
Chaeyoung shook her head and took out her phone in her purse, scrolling through it, oblivious of the piercing gaze of Jia behind her.
Do they have to rub it to her face that they both had fun the previous night?. Her grip on her phone tightened as she stare at the blank screen.
"Yoonjin, why are there news about the wedding?".
Chaeyoung just went online and saw different headlines about the wedding, it was just about Yoonjin and Elvis, with she and Nari being mysterious, there is a stir online as netizens are debating who they think the two most sorted bachelors are getting married to.
"Grand aunt talked about it, but I didn't know she would be this quick, such an inpatient old lady". Yoonjin chuckled as he said the last part in a hushed tone. The traffic light turned green and the car accelerated.
Chaeyoung quietly went through the comments under the posts. Some comments were so funny that she could not stop herself from laughing.
"What's wrong?". Yoonjin asked without turning to face her, as his eyes were fixed on the road.
"The comments are so funny, I mean they are all having different guesses but none happens to be correct". She said in between a heavy rage of laughter.
Jia felt like she deliberately being ignored by the two, or maybe she's being ignored by Yoonjin just because Chaeyoung was there, yes it must be it.
No guy has ever ignored her because for all she knows, she's a beauty, that she could boast about.
If there was an award like 'being in the spotlight award', she would have had a lot of those, having a perfectly sculpted face and body, almost seeming like God took his time in create her.
She was sometime nicknamed Enchantress, because of her ability to enthral people, both male and female including couples, but since she had being seated in the car, Yoonjin had never spared her a quick glance almost making it seem as if she was invincible, rather he had made sure to look at Chaeyoung at every given opportunity he gets.
Jia was irritated by that, and at the same time it made her want him more.
She needed to say something to capture his attention.
She had heard rumors about Chaeyoung having a thing with Elvis and honestly she had believed it since she knew Chaeyoung was friends with Elvis, before now and she got to know Elvis was Yoonjin's cousin.
'How weird would it be if she brought up the topic'. She thought as a sinister smirk formed on her lips.
"Chae, I think some of all these netizens are dumb, there are some comments saying you have a thing with Elvis so you're indeed his bride". She looked up at the duo amd chuckled, expecting their mood to die down.
No man would like it if their woman is being shipped with a guy they are not in a good relationship with.
She had looked up on the relationship between Yoonjin and Elvis and had realized they weren't that close….., No, they were not close at all, this left her wondering why Chaeyoung was suddenly with Yoonjin, rather than Elvis who had been her friend since they were younger.
"They really are dumb". She heard Chaeyoung say in a relaxed tone as she continued scrolling through her phone. Jia bit her lips in frustration, she looked at Yoonjin and he also had same relaxed expression.
"You're no longer friends with him?". She asked wearing an innocent look, as if she was only curious.
Maybe Yoonjin doesn't know Chaeyoung is friends with his cousin and maybe if he finds out, he would want to know more about them. Jia smiled at the thoughts of the both of them having a heated conversation in the car, she could not wait to see the drama unfold.
"Mmm, we're no longer friends". Chaeyoung said and dropped her phone down, leaning her head on the window with her eyes gradually closing, which should be interpreted as the end of their conversation.
"You're sleepy?". The quiet Yoonjin finally spoke up.
"Mmm, when we get home wake me up". With that she yawned and drifted to sleep.
The conversation ended so fast, and it was not as she had expected, her eyes twitched in anger.
She was totally ignored by Yoonjin even after mentioning his cousin, unless he knew about their relationship.
But if he knew Chaeyoung was close with Elvis, then how come Chaeyoung was suddenly getting married to him.
She needed to know what happened amongst them.
