Chereads / Forced Fondness: loving you right / Chapter 30 - Chapter 30

Chapter 30 - Chapter 30

In an attractive, sunlight filled garden with blooming flowers and chirping birds, sat Park Jiwoo on a wooden chair weilding her paintbrush, as she made light stroked on the paper, bringing to life the scenery before her.

The ray of sunlight hit her perfectly built face, her fallen brown hair dancing to the rhythm on the wind.

Despite her being in her early 50s, her young features made it unbelievable.

'It's beautiful'. She heard the soft voice of her husband, she smiled without turning her head to look at him, rather her gaze fixed on the scenery in front of her.

Minho pecked her on her cheek and stood behind her, holding a cup of cold coffee.

'Aren't you going to work?'. She questioned.

Minho frowned a bit at her question and sighed.

'Jiwoo..' He called but got interrupted.

'You know my father didn't acknowledge you at the dinner'. She said.

Minho sighed heavily again and held Jiwoo's shoulder, giving it a light squeeze before bending down and pecked her again.

'I know, but trust me I'm trying hard to fix the issues at the company, I'm really trying my best'. He explained.

His company has being having a lot of issues, which is gradually leading the company in going bankrupt, making the old man who had invested a lot on his company angry.

Until he fix the unknown issues related to his company, the old man is not going to acknowledge him as a son in-law.

Jiwoo was gradually loosing her love from the old man, so she thinks.

If Minho could fix his issues, their family would be acknowledged once more by the old man.

She had thought Elvis would be the one to help, but he only cares about the family company, which he is currently handling with Yoonjin, who was also taking care of his father company {her brother} which he had given to Yoonjin before he died.

Speaking of Elvis, she was still upset about his choice of a wife, and not to talk about them expecting a child together.

Jiwoo was to stress to the extent that she thinks she's the only one carrying the entire family burden, and Minho was already giving up on fixing his problems.

'Minho even if you're trying your best, but it's not good enough, try harder'. She urged, only riling Minho.

'Are you trying to say I've been playing the entire time?'. He asked Jiwoo.

Her eyes was still fixed on her painting without looking at him. She was trying to control her anger and not get into a fight with him when it's still early, and the only way that is possible is through painting, which calms her nerves every time.

'Do you mean I've been whiling away time, doing unnecessary things, when I literally spend almost every night at the office trying to figure out what went wrong?'. He asked, his voice raised, fuming in anger.

Jiwoo hand on the brush tightened, she remained quiet, drawing on the paper even when she felt like she was already loosing it.

'Answer me Park Jiwoo!' He ordered.

An unintentional stroke appeared on the painting, destroying the beautiful artwork.

Stressed, she held the paper, ripping it apart.

She stood up from the chair angrily, finally turning to face her 'husband'.

'Are you really sure you've been going to work to fixed problems or went there just to pleasure yourself'. She blurted out angrily.

Minho was suddenly taken aback by her sudden retort.

'What are you talking about?'. He asked innocently.

Jiwoo scoffed at his sudden cluelessness, of course he was going to feign being innocent.

'I knew you would act like this if I bring this up'. She crossed her hand in front of her chest.

'You should thank me for clearing all your dirty tracks and all your flirting at your company'. She paused and looked him, disgusted at what she called husband.

'You should be careful Minho, I don't Mind you looking for smaller holes to place that thing of yours but learn to clear up your tracks while doing so, I don't want to loose my dad because of you stupidity'. She said and walked past him.

'Clear those trash'. She said to the maid, referring to the completely destroyed painting and equipment on the ground.

She entered the house, headed to her room.

She took her bath for the second time and wore a black dress, did her makeup before heading out.

She dialled Elvis number which connected almost immediately.

'Where are you?'.

'I'm at my place, why?'. Elvis asked, yawning, implying he had just woken up.

Jiwoo tells him she was coming over before disconnecting.

She informed the driver to take her to Elvis' place, and got there in no time.

She got down from the car and enters the mansion.

'Mom.. what brings you here'. Elvis asked as he welcomed her inside the house with a smile on his face.

She looked at him without answering and sat on the couch.

'What would you like to eat?'. Elvis asked.

'I did not come here for food, so you can relax'. She said with no trace of emotion in her voice, nor face.

Elvis looked at her, noticing her attitude. He knew something was wrong but didn't know what.

He sat next to her, placing his hand on her back giving it a gentle stroke.

'What's wrong mom?…you look gloomy'. He said.

Jiwoo sighed and held her forehead.

'It's your dad, he's back at it again'. She said, he could hear the pain in her voice slightly appearing.

He knew about his father's affairs with other women and he was already used to it, it didn't sound like something new or weird to him.

'I'll talk to him'.

That was the only thing he could say, even if no matter what he says he always went back to some of those cheap girls.

He couldn't blame them, his father was an handsome man, even if he was advanced, it was only in age, apart from that he was still as energetic as a teenage boy.

After comforting his mother and confirmed she was already relaxed, he asked the maid to prepare something for her.

'Mom, I haven't seen you paint for a while, I really miss watching you paint'. Elvis said , having a bit of nostalgic feelings.

When he was younger, he usually went with his mother to her studio, where he would watch her paint and learn.

He liked painting a lot back then and he feels he still does till that moment.

'You should come to the studio sometime son, when you are chanced'. She said with a smile.

Elvis nodded in agreement.

'I will make sure to create time for that..' He said.

They heard the door closing and footsteps which was getting louder and closer.

Their eyes were fixed on the spot waiting for the person to be revealed.

Nari walked in with her phone on her ear, making a call.

She did not notice Elvis mom's presence in the sitting room and continued making the call.

She looked in front of her and saw Elvis looking at her and gave him a small smile, she looked opposite him and saw the gloomy look on his mother face.

He eyes widened in shock seeing her, she quickly took her phone off her ear, glued to the spot she stood.

Jiwoo turned to look at Elvis.

'She lives with you?'.
