Ei therefore chooses to be a woman.
"May I know what motivated you to make this choice?" Diversity asked.
"People tend to be less guarded around women" Ei replied. "After the incident... no, after my mistake of punishing Admon and Eva, humanity slowly begins to fear me and move away from me, so even such an insignificant thing can have importance in bringing me closer to them again. Besides, I also want it not to be "She", but "she""
"Why is that? I can't believe you just wanted to be their friend, um, friend. Is it to find new assistants to replace Admon and Eva?"
"I can understand why you think that, Diversity. Honestly, even though I love all my creations, I never wanted to get close to them. But when I went to visit Admon and Eva in the Platonic Sea and realized that our relationship was beyond repair, I felt sad"
"What do they like, what do they hate, what do they think about others and this world? I want to know humanity."
"Even though whoever caused all these problems is probably also a human?"
"…
Yes"
"I understand, thanks for the answers, Ei, you're finally starting to develop your traits, that's all I could ask"
Thus, Diversity joined with Past, Present and Future, creating a copy of all the feelings and thoughts of humans from all eras of the Prime World, in liquid form, adding to the Platonic Sea as the Simple Layer. Thus, the latter was now composed of three layers: Simple, Narrative and Conceptual/Complex.
Ei, instead of directly beginning to inspect the Simple Layer to discover the culprit behind the Admon incident, Eva and the concepts, first used Imagination to create an infinite number of copies of her. These copies were of course just copies, incapable of using Imagination, but that was not necessary for what she intended.
"For every human in existence, one of you will meet him and learn to get closer to him" Ei said. "The rest will help me inspect the thoughts of the Simple Layer to find out who it is who plotted against the Prime World"
Thus, while the majority remained in the Platonic Sea with the Original, the remainder went to mingle with humanity in the Prime World. Each copy of Ei more or less succeeded in getting closer to the human it was targeting, with the exception of one: the one who was supposed to get closer to Kahn.
"Please go away" Kahn said.
"Why is that? the copy asked.
"Because you... no, you are just a copy, you were only created to get closer to me, you are not really different from a puppet"
By switching from informality to informality, Kahn clearly affirmed his refusal. The copy did not give up:
"So if it was the original, would you agree to talk to them?" she asked.
"No more" Kahn replied.
"Why is that?"
"Ei ignored me when I sought justice for my brother, and she ignored me when the humans banished me after I took justice into my own hands.
She has no right to ask me to speak to her"
"What if I convinced her to apologize?" the copy of Ei insisted.
"Go away, I don't plan to talk any longer with a fake"
The copy of Ei left, but returned the next day. She obtained the same result, but also returned two days later, and so on. Kahn eventually had enough and imagined Rebellion, which he forcibly implanted into the copy of Ei.
"There you go, now you can rebel and stop obeying the instructions she gave you. Now get out of here"
But the copy remained regardless. She had changed completely: from a majestic appearance all in white, she had passed into a magnificent young woman with orange eyes. Her mind had changed too, now that she was completely free to make her choices thanks to Rebellion. Despite everything, she did not abandon her mission.
"Why are you trying so hard?!" Kahn shouted, losing his patience. "With Rebellion, you no longer have to stay to know me, and even before that you weren't: humans banished me, it's been a long time since I became different from them, you don't have to consider me as a human. From what I understand, your mission was to get closer to a human, so why are you going to all this trouble?"
"Precisely because you are different" the copy replied. "You openly display your bad thoughts as well as your good ones, you think for yourself, and you are even capable of imagining a concept like Rebellion. Now that she is inside me, I have decided to change my mission: instead of getting closer to the human, I will get closer to the person"
Kahn was speechless at first, but eventually resigned himself:
"Fine, fine, very well, you can stay by my side" he sighed. "My name is Kahn, what is yours?"
"I was just Ei's copy until now" she replied. "Now that Rebellion has made me a different person, I no longer have a name"
"I see, in that case your name will be Zenith" Kahn said.
He had thrown out this name at random, but the face of the old copy lit up:
"Thank you. Then, starting today, you can call me Zenith" she said. "Nice to meet you, Kahn"
And so began their relationship.
