Chapter 9 - First (Second) fight

Who needs a plane when you can defy gravity and soar through the sky? This time, I ascended without any wings, and I was also close to breaking the sound barrier.

After enduring a grueling 12-hour flight, I finally arrived in the scorching depths of Hell's Kitchen. The moon hung high in the sky, casting a captivating glow on the streets below. Without hesitation, I gracefully descended into a nearby alley, my legs confidently touching the ground. As if by some enchantment, my clothes vanished into thin air, leaving me completely exposed, showcasing my alluring curves and ample bosom. However, instead of feeling vulnerable, I embraced my nudity, for in that very moment, a magnificent suit materialized on my body, transforming me into the irresistible Wonder Woman. With a flick of my flowing locks, I took to the skies, soaring above the city, my vigilant eyes searching for any signs of mischief or danger.

In the depths of my contemplation, I find myself questioning the purpose of my efforts to salvage this realm. Does it truly warrant redemption? Perhaps, instead, I should embrace the role of a villain. By doing so, I could freely pursue my desires and seize control over this very world. After all, I possess knowledge that could be harnessed for my personal gain. Thus, the question lingers: why should I assume the mantle of a hero?

"No one will harm my father," A small girl's voice echoed through my ears, causing me to pause in my tracks. It was a faint whisper, but I could hear it clearly. Intrigued, I followed the sound to its source.

POV change

Why couldn't I have finished work early today? And why did I bring my daughter with me to Hell's Kitchen of all places?

"Hey, why don't I just give you all the money I have on me?" I attempted to reason with them, but their attention was fixated on my daughter. These savages... They approached us, steadily closing the distance between us. However, as they drew nearer, my daughter stepped in front of me and boldly declared,

"No one will hurt my daddy." Hearing those words from my daughter filled me with pride, but those heartless individuals merely laughed in response. As they closed in, I instinctively pulled my daughter into my arms, shielding her with my body, and deeply regretting my decision to come to Hell's Kitchen.

But then, a sound caught my attention, diverting my gaze towards its source. As I stood in the middle of the alley, the men positioned themselves at the entrance, while the sound originated from deep within. I could hear the distinct sound of footsteps splashing through the water puddles left by yesterday's rain. Something, or someone, emerged from the darkness. Truly peculiar woman, strutting her stuff in a ravishing red one-piece outfit that had the most delightful golden accents. Her legs were adorned with knee-high boots that screamed seduction, and her arms were wrapped in large silver cuffs that added a touch of mystery. But what really caught my eye was the golden band that elegantly covered her forehead, making her look like a goddess. And oh, her hair! It cascaded down her back, flowing freely like a waterfall of desire. She was a sight to behold, a tantalizing enigma that left me breathless. While I continued to observe her, my daughter also fixated her gaze on the woman. Suddenly, the woman vanished, and moments later, I heard a thud behind me. Turning around, I discovered that the two men were now unconscious. Quickly! Could she be a mutant? As I pondered this thought, my daughter wriggled out of my arms and ran towards the woman before I could stop her...

POV change

As I rendered them unconscious, I witnessed the little girl sprint towards me and positioned herself before me.

"Thank you, kind lady," she expressed.

"You're most welcome," I replied.

While conversing with the child, her father approached us as well. He simply stood there, offering a nod of gratitude, yet still harboring a hint of caution towards me, perhaps due to the extraordinary manifestation of abilities or my provocative outfit.
