The scene starts with a boy floating through an endless black void unconscious. The boy feels light, suspended in space like this he has no worries whatsoever like he has escaped some kind of hell. As he was lost in his solace the void started to crack and he was startled by all the commotion the void started to destroy itself. He was in a panic he didn't want to return to the normal world, but all he could do was watch. The next moment, he wakes up and realizes that he is sleeping and that he still has to go through reality, as usual, he is demoralized. He sighs and we get a look at his room messy it was but it still had an order of some kind. He gets out of his bed puts on his sleeper and heads to the bathroom mirror where he sees his miserable face it was not that miserable but the boy could only see his flaws.
The boy is no older than 17 years named Chrollo. Chrollo thinks his life was desolate from the start, he can still remember some joyful moments but those were downcast by the bad ones. He does his morning chores and gets ready for school. He is on his way to school when suddenly he realizes that there are clouds in the sky. Chrollo is first astonished by the colour of the clouds they have a purple haze to them, but anyway, he doesn't care about them and starts walking again.
The clouds started to rumble rain started pouring the rainwater also had a different color than usual and smelled nasty he started to run so he would not get wet and smell bad. The next moment, a bright light flashes onto him, and he realizes that a lightning bolt has hit him. Everything becomes dark Chrollo loses consciousness and then he is back to the same endless void where he is devoid of everything but this time is different it is more real than the previous time. His body was pale and lifeless and he felt like he was dead. His eyes open and he hears his voice talking back to him it feels soothing to him. "Oh, so it's time". The void started to rupture again and he felt a strange surge of energy through his body. It started to glow and then he vanished from the void.
The next moment Chrollo opens his eyes and realizes he is back in the real world, he is on a stretcher on his way to the hospital ICU when he realizes that his body is fully burnt all of his hair is gone and his vision is super blurry too. The doctor is screaming at everyone to get out of the way so that he can be taken to the ICU as fast as possible. As the doctor and his crew reached the ICU the room, was already occupied by 3 people in black suits. The men in black calmly says that we will handle the situation from now on and doctor should leave immediately as the body they are going to operate upon is highly radioactive. The Doctor doesn't understand why are these men even here for an almost-dead boy but doesn't question them because the doctor is scared the shit out and leaves immediately with his crew.
The scene cuts to one of the men in black coming close to the boy examining his body and astonished by how he survived an Anton energy-rich lightning strike. The boy though half dead could still faintly hear and understand what was going on in his environment, he is surprised thinking what the hell is Anton energy, and how he is still breathing after being blasted by a literal fucking lightning strike? The men in black seeing some subtle movements in his body are shocked and move back a little. Then the boy loses his consciousness and is transported to a secret facility to be tested.
This facility is an underground government-funded facility that researches the dangerous phenomenon known as Anton energy. The scene cuts to various big containers throughout the facility containing the same purple haze that resembled the colour of the clouds earlier, the facility also contained various cells containing mysterious human beings and other creatures. After a while, the men in black reached the room where researchers were waiting for the boy who miraculously survived direct contact with a high amount of Anton energy they were also surprised at how he was alive after getting hit by something so bad.
They ran some tests on him and found out that his brain activities were really strange it was like his mind was rewired or something, his skin started to peel off new skin started to form, and his injuries started to heal themself. After a while, Chrollo's full body was restored and his hair grew back, he also started to slowly regain consciousness and show some movements. All the researchers were astonished but one of the researchers understood what was going on and he exclaimed that the boy had "DIED TWICE!!" and now is alive again. Everyone in the room was confused and wondered what he meant by that.
