In the absolute dark place, both the cards were waiting to observe the reaction he would have when he read the notifications. They didn't have to wait long.
Soon they saw him laughing like crazy, as if he has gone mad unable to handle the truth.
They saw him suddenly scream with grief filled within his voice.
They watched it for an unknown period of time, however soon they saw him break as he screamed at the top of his lungs and then fall silent.
But when they watched him pick up the dagger, one of the card changed into the masked man and couldn't help but sigh.
"Sigh, this guy makes me fill like an old man."
He then snapped his finger and then whispered in a soft voice, almost like the whisper of the devil.
"You have two choices before you?"
"To Die."
"To live."
"If you die, then you will be free from all your suffering. You will get peace!"
When he heard this, a sense of relief washed over him from the very depth of his soul.
'I can attain... Peace?', he thought, trying to leave this hell as he pushed the dagger closer to his heart. But a voice brought him back to reality, stopping him in his tracks.
"HOWEVER!", the masked man shouted.
"However, if you live."
"This illusion can turn into your future."
"..."
"So what if these memories were an illusion?"
"....."
"These people are real."
"....."
"You just need to make the illusion become reality."
After saying that, the masked man turned back into a card. The second card just watched everything happen. It didn't interfere at all.
.....
Bittu slowly got up and made his way towards the dagger that was his companion for this little time frame. With his perception, he picked it up and with lifeless eyes plunged it straight into his heart.
However, before he could fall into the depths of eternal slumber, a sigh followed by soft whispers echoed in Bittu's ears.
*sigh*
"So what if these memories were an illusion?"
"....."
"These people are real."
"....."
"You just need to make the illusion become reality."
In the darkness and silence of the dungeon as the dagger hung midair, with his lifeless eyes, Bittu's ears kept on repeating these three sentences. These words seemed to resonate with his will, with his very being, with his very soul. It resonated a whole lot more than the peace that it desired!
"So what if these memories were an illusion?"
"These people are real."
"You just need to make the illusion become reality."
.....
As time passed without care of any other, Bittu just stayed on the floor in the same position.
However, unlike before, his eyes weren't lifeless. They held an unusual amount of emotions.
"I just need to make it a reality."
As he gazed at his dagger, that had a sharp end ready to tear anything that may come before it, he said, "I just need to tear off the illusion and make it a reality."
Bittu sucked in a deep breath as he closed his eyes. After thinking for a brief moment, he slowly got up.
'That's right, I just need to make them all a reality."
As he thought this unexpectedly, a tear fell down his left eye the moment he stood up. The tear slowly slid down his cheeks.
It seemed to contain all his agony and grief as it left him.
However, with the fall of the tear, a subtle change occurred in his aura, which was immediately picked up by the masked man.
"Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha"
In the confines of that dark place, a crazy and proud laugh echoed as it said, " Ahh, Finally!"
.....
Bittu was currently looking at the sight of treasures before me. Most of them were orbs, some weapons, some scrolls and a wooden box.
He took a deep breath and caught an orb.
The orb was cool to his touch, and its smoothness made it feel like it was out of this world and, adding to its orange glow, it was quite eye-catching. But Bittu's eyes were currently busy looking at the notification that flashed before his eyes just as he held the orb.
[You have found a rare treasure orb. Would you like to open it?]
"Yes, ", Bittu said with a neutral voice.
[Congratulations, you have gotten a rare grade treasure; Swift dagger.]
[Swift dagger:
Rank: Rare (agility+1)
Enchantments: swift
Description: The weapon of one of the deceased soldier of the fallen war. It goes well with those that have good reflexes.]
The dagger was bronze and had its sharp edges glinting.
"A dagger, Nice."
"It could be a huge help.", he thought as he held the light dagger.
He then picked up another orb. This one was different. It had a blue glow.
[You have found a magic treasure orb. Would you like to open it?]
'A magic treasure orb?'
" Yes."
[Congratulations, you have gotten a magic grade treasure; Dagger of the oasis]
[Dagger of the oasis:
Rank: Magic
Enchantments: Venom of the oasis. (3/3)
Description: The weapon of one of the deceased soldier of the fallen war. A deadly weapon against the living.]
The dagger had its sharp edges glinting in the light. It was cold and weighty to the touch, with a sense of unusual lethality to it.
'It doesn't have a stat raise?', Bittu thought, slightly disappointed.
'What's this enchantment about (3/3)? Can I only use it for three times?', his disappointment increased when he thought that.
'Is magic grade above or below rare grade?', he thought, now unsure of seeing the enhancements he got.
*sigh*
After that, he felt he shouldn't waste more time, so he opened the last three orbs together. One was rare, one magic, but the last one had an unusual green glow.
[You have found a rare treasure orb. Would you like to open it?]
[You have found a magic treasure orb. Would you like to open it?]
[You have found a spiritual treasure orb. Would you like to open it?]
"Yes"

This was the most unique. It had a delicate hoop embellished with mystical gemstones, each shimmering with vibrant hues and etched with arcane symbols.
"Hmm, these all seem quite good, specifically that, Sheild. It seems way better than the dagger."
"However, a communication device? It's an excellent treasure...."
"If only I knew how to use it."
Bittu didn't even know how to use his first dagger enchantment called Light, let alone this enchantment called Link.
After checking these, Bittu moved onto the three scrolls and the wooden box.
