"Alex Fawn, I challenge you to a duel."
The first one to speak was Silas Avongus, the second prince of the human kingdom. Although I was sitting and he was standing, he held his head high, and only his eyes were looking down on me. That was just how proud he was.
In the game, he always challenges the person who eliminated him during the physical exam. This time it should have been Lucas, but since I didn't participate in the physical exam and still ranked above him, his pride took a blow.
"What do you think you are doing?" Anastasia came between us to defend me. That's who the number-one girl in the game was. She was so kind that she would protect anyone from being bullied. I didn't need her protection, but this situation was entertaining enough, so I just kept quiet.
'As soon as I get my dimensional storage, I need to fill it with some popcorn.'
"Do you think because you finished in second place in the test you have the right to speak to us?" This time, it was Nxy who interfered between Silas and Anastasia.
"Wait, we don't want any trouble; can't we just talk peacefully?" Melina tried to stop what was happening, but everyone just ignored her words.
Since she was near me, I could feel Anastasia starting to move her mana. Nyx also looked like she was doing the same.
A confrontation was going to take place in this instant between two heroines of the game, but of course, all good things had to end. "What are you doing? Get back to your seat right now."
Everyone looked at the source of the voice in front of the classroom, and an old human woman was standing there. She was the instructor for our next class. Immediately, all the students got back to their seats, including the three royals. Anastasia was still in a bad mood, Melina looked really worried, and Lucas was still confused about what just happened.
"I am Hannah Brehon, your magic instructor this semester. First of all, anyone who has a job that focuses on magic attributes, please raise your hand."
Among the twenty students, only five raised their hands, including Melina and Anastasia. Hannah carefully looked at each of them, then nodded in approval. It looked like she was satisfied with the current level of her students.
"I'm sure a few of you are questioning why you should take this class, especially those who have low-grade ability in magic. But there is a special reason why..."
I stopped listening to her. Everything she would say was meaningless to me. Right now, I needed to think of a good plan to minimize the trouble Ella was going to create.
"You at the back, your attention is elsewhere else; how likely is it that you already know what I'm talking about?"
'You hit the nail on the head, instructor; I actually know more about magic than you do.' Of course, I couldn't tell her my inner thoughts.
"I'm sorry, instructor. I will try to be more attentive."
My words made Hannah frown. She clearly understood the meaning when I said that I would try.
"Your name?"
"Alex Fawn."
"Oh, you are the young genius who everyone has been talking about. I understand now why you think my class would be boring. But I didn't see you raise your hand earlier. Does that mean you learned about magic at a young age despite not being proficient in it yourself?"
"I believe the only limit that knowledge has is one's own imagination."
I hit Hannah with one of my favourite quotes from my previous world, and I could feel the admiration and respect oozing from her eyes.
"Alright, you can do whatever you want during my class, but try to participate a little; your insight may help some of your classmates."
This earned me some envious and jealous stares from the students, but I didn't mind it. The whole world already knew about my intellect, and I didn't have any plans to stop there.
After 2 hours, the bell rang, Hannah left the classroom, and immediately a tall man with leopard ears on his head came in. He had a sleepy face and kept yawning after every few steps. Behind him, five assistant instructors also came inside the classroom.
"I'm Aziel, and I will be your, *yawn*, combat instructor this semester."
Except for Freya and me, every other student was surprised and confused to see their new instructor acting like this. Aziel then asked everyone to move to the large space at the back of the classroom.
"Separate into five *yawn* different groups. Each group will go with *yawn* one assistant. The first group will be those *yawn* who use close-range weapons. The second group *yawn* will be those who use mid-range weapons. *yawn* The third group will be those who use *yawn* long-range weapons. The fourth group will be those who *yawn* use a shield. And last group will be *yawn* those who don't use any weapon *yawn*."
It was really hard to understand him between all of his yawns. Fortunately, one of the five assistants repeated exactly what he said without the yawn. It looked like he was already used to such situations.
Eight students joined the first group, including Lucas and Silas. Four students joined the third group, including Nyx and me. One student joined the fourth group, and lastly, seven students joined the fifth group, including Melina, Anastasia, and Freya. There wasn't anybody in our class who used a mid-range weapon, so the third assistant instructor found himself lonely.
After joining the third group, I found Nyx in the middle of one male and one female elf, one step behind her. They were clearly her subordinates. The third assistant instructor, who was also an elf, approached us.
"Hi, my name is Luna Amara, and despite being only an assistant, I will be the one teaching you for the whole semester. Instructor Aziel will be monitoring your progress, so you better work hard. Now tell me your name and what type of long-range weapon you use."
"I'm Nyx Exla, and I use a bow."
"I'm Sebastian Paqen, and I also use a bow."
"I'm Maescia Crana, and I use a bow too."
"Alex Fawn, bow."
"Good, since all of you use the same weapon, you can help each other improve faster." Luna said this with a smile and gave each of us a training bow and a few arrows.
"Miss Amara I understand that we can help each other improve, but if we train with a beginner, won't it halt our progress instead?" Nyx said with a smirk while looking in my direction.
'Did she think that I am easy to pick on because I let Anastasia defend me earlier?'
"What do you mean?" Luna, who didn't understand Nyx's question, looked at her confusedly.
"I didn't mean to offend anyone, but everyone knows that Alex Fawn recently finished a breakthrough theory, so I don't think he had enough time to train well between his experiments."
This time, I immediately answered her back. "You are right, princess, and I don't think I'm at your level yet, but I'm confident that I can win against the two subordinates behind you even if I fight them at the same time."
Everyone was shocked by my words, especially Nyx. She didn't expect me to answer back instantly and also humiliate her subordinates at the same time. But since she was a princess, she was able to compose herself faster than the others.
"Maybe I'm mistaken, but did you just say you could defeat Sebastian and Maescia, who have trained hard since they received their system, and at the same time?"
"Yes." I reply without any hesitation.
"How dare you!" Sebastian shouted and tried to approach me with his fist, ready to punch me, but Nyx stopped him by raising her hand.
"Since you are so confident, how about proving yourself?"
"Alright. Miss Amara, nobody is using the middle stage right now. Can I have permission to fight against Sebastian and Maescia at the same time?"
"No, I will fight you alone, and I will make you pay for disrespecting me." Sebastian argued.
"No, Sebastian. You should fight him with Maescia. I don't know where his confidence comes from, but since he asked for it himself, both of you should teach him a lesson that he will never forget."
Luna, who was observing our argument silently, took a few seconds to think before responding. "Normally, I wouldn't allow such an unfair fight, but I'm curious how someone as smart as you think he can win under such a disadvantage."
