"Thanks. Bye"
Before she could respond, the call ended abruptly. The girl kept her eyes fixed on her smart watch, totally confused.
"He isn't what you describe him to be."
Shaking her from her confusion, Cathy turned around to see a tall, blond boy leaning on the wall, completely relaxed.
"Vice President, why are you here?"
"I was here from the beginning, Cathy. You just didn't notice me."
"I'm sorry. I'm going back to work." Cathy said, with an indifferent expression and started to walk away. Although she just apologized, she didn't feel sorry at all. She was just being cautious with her words while trying to control her anger in front of this lazy playboy.
"Don't be like that. Our beautiful secretary deserves a little break after all the work she has accomplished. I was just thinking of trying a new menu from the cafeteria; why don't you join me?" Samuel said while extending his hand toward the white-haired girl.
Ignoring his hand, Cathy shoots him a death stare. "If you don't have anything better to do, why don't you help a little instead of dropping all your workloads on us?" This time, anyone could clearly see she was angry.
Samuel's expression remained calm, as if expecting her reaction. "I'm already helping the Student Council through my status. Unless the president herself asks me to, I'm not going to do anything boring. Now, instead of getting angry for nothing, why don't we talk about the conversation you had earlier? Was that your younger brother? He is different from how you used to describe him."
Remembering Alex, Cathy's anger diminishes. "I guess he is just nervous about the entrance exams."
"If he gets a perfect grade in the written exam, he will be admitted even if he fails the physical exam."
"Stop joking; since the academy was founded, nobody has been able to get a perfect grade in the written exam. Even the president, with her S-grade in intelligence, wasn't able to solve a single one of the last five questions. They are there to prevent anyone from being admitted without at least passing the physical exam."
"True, but I have a feeling something interesting will happen during this year's entrance exams. We have an interesting batch this time."
"What do you m…."Before Cathy could finish her question, she received a voice call on her smart watch. Seeing the caller's name, she immediately answered it.
"President, did something happen?"
"Cat, I hope I didn't disturb you. Can you come to my office when you're free? I need to cross-check some data I just received."
"Alright, president, I was just talking with Samuel, so I can come now."
"Samuel. Samuel, who?"
"Vice President Samuel Avongus." Cathy confusedly answered, but to her surprise, the blond boy who was in front of her a second ago suddenly vanished as if he were never there.
"THAT BASTARD IS IN THIS BUILDING RIGHT NOW? WHERE ARE YOU EXACTLY?" The president's loud, angry voice came out of the smart watch.
Cathy immediately understood what was happening. "I'm sorry, president, but he already escaped."
"That bastard. I called him this morning to come and complete his work, but he said he wasn't in the academy."
"President, it's just a waste of time to get angry at him; he will never change. I'm on my way to your office right now. Let's talk there."
Cathy ended the call and walked toward the student council president's office. After a few minutes, she arrives at the end of a corridor in front of a large wooden door. Two muscular students were standing guard on each side. The pressure they were emitting was enough to give Cathy goosebumps. They were both fourth-year students and rank among the top 20.
Even though Cathy was in front of the door, both of the guards remained expressionless. They were already informed of her arrival a few minutes ago.
