Chapter 6 - Wedding day

THE NEXT DAY,

My eyes were glued on the wedding dress, my mother was fixing my make-up and tired my hair into a ponytail, and my worry only grew bigger. My mother wasn't happy that I finally found my mate after years of living without a single soul asking me out, she was happy that I would finally leave the house with the reputation of an outcast to my in-laws. "It's time to step out of your comfort zone and fight for yourself... Why can't you be like your sister for once?" Mother emphasized her last words, not sparing me a glance.

There we go again with my sister talks. Only God knew how much I had heard that word. From my mother, father, neighbors, and almost everyone who knew about my twin sister. It was now the norm in our family. "Mother, can't you just look at my worth and value in this family and stop comparing me to Barbra? I know she's the perfect kid in your eyes. Beautiful, kind, and smart but I'm also your child who has been suffering for years." I fumed. The maids alongside me chuckled, the mockery in their eyes not hidden a bit.

It has always been like that anyway, not a single soul could respect me as a woman, and they all treated me like a slut with no dignity. Sometimes I wish I was better off as dead. Neither was I a stranger to these people nor did I do something wrong to them but I never understood why they had to treat me like a filthy bitch as if what happened was my fault.

Suddenly, I felt a sting on my left cheek waking me up from my thoughts, my mother had slapped me. I glanced at my mother's proud face through the reflection of the mirror. "That's what I always get for speaking up for myself," I shouted, getting up from the chair. It was my first time raising my voice at my other and I knew the consequences of doing so, what had I just done to myself?

"How dare you raise your voice at me?" my mother pulled me by my collar, her face boiling with anger. "Go ahead, hit me." I sighed as I looked at her with dead eyes. She appeared like a warm person but she was the worst to me, Her piercing gaze met with mine giving my heart nothing but chills. "How dare you?" she raised her hand attempting to slap me but I caught it before she could. "Don't think about it," I smirked as I pushed her hand away.

She looked at me in disbelief, disdain written all over her face as she collected herself to stand firm. "I should have killed you the moment I gave birth to you," My mother shouted at my face before she stormed off, closing the door with a loud bang.

Relief washed over me as I heard my mother's retreating figure. Today was supposed to be my happy day at least but here I was fighting with my mother over trivial things.

"I bet all the rumors about her are true," one of the maids whispered

"She's a wolf in a sheep's skin pretending to be sweet and innocent. She even had sex with five men." another whispered

"What a slut!" the first one exclaimed

"No wonder nobody wants her," The other said and they both burst into laughter.

My eyes moved to my wedding dress once more. Tears streamed down my face as I thought about what it's gonna be like once I moved out of this room to my fated mate and how he was going to treat me. I heard the door open. I could tell who it was without even turning back. She had this sweet vanilla scent that filled the room.

"What now?" I sighed tiredly as I wiped the tears away from my face with the back of my palm. I could imagine her smirking at me with a devilish look, her hands crossed along her chest.

Barbra ordered the maids to get out of the room and it was now me and her. The last thing I wanted was to argue with her. "It will be better if you get your stinking ass out of my room." I gritted my teeth giving her a murderous look.

"Hey, hey, stop giving me that murderous look, I'm scared." She jumped and blocked her head with her hands. I wasn't in the mood to watch her drama, so I ignored her and sat in front of the full-length mirror and wiped the whole makeup off my face. It was my wedding day, I wasn't gonna let anyone force me to do things against my will. After all, I had no reason to look pretty.

Realizing I ignored her, Barbra's face turned pale and she looked at me in disbelief. She gave me a 'how dare you ignore my look'

"If you are done, now get out of my room," I spoke, paying no attention to her. She stomped her feet childishly on the floor with a humph and left my room. I fixed myself and put on the dress with matching pearl heels. I looked at my reflection in the mirror and then came a sigh. "Today is our big day Beata, you gotta drop that dead ass face and put on a smile." My wolf seethed.

I forced a smile on, stretching my cheeks with my fingers when I heard a knock on my door. I stride to the door to find my dad, Hilton Crawford standing. Without exchanging a word, my father stretched out his hand for me, I held his hand and we walked down the steps. My heart thumped abnormally with every step I took down. My mind was running wild and my insides were trembling. I was meeting my husband to be in less than a minute.

"It's okay. Everything is gonna be alright." I forced a smile. Cameras flashed at my face as soon as we stepped out of the house. Insults, mockery, and pitiful eyes from the audience almost made me run half before arriving at the altar. My soon-to-be husband was standing with a gloomy face as he watched me.

We made our vows and did all the necessary things. That marked the end of the ceremony and we retired to our chamber. The bridal suite deep in the forest was arranged by the Pack for ceremonies like this. A honeymoon for the newly wedded brides.

Raven

I sat in our bridal chamber after getting married to a stranger. A person that I didn't know a damned thing about Beata Crawford was now my wife and my mate. The person I will be staying with for the whole of my life. I rolled my eyes to the left side of the bed.

"I'm sorry Bekit," I sighed and looked at her

"My name is Beata." she hissed.

"I don't care what your fucking name is. This is wrong. It's so wrong that I'm gonna leave this fucking prison-like place and live my fucking life without a black ass plus size crazy woman." I yelled not giving a damn about her. Why did I agree to get married to you in the first place, I would have run away the minute I heard the word marriage.

"Do whatever that makes you happy. It's not like I also wanted to marry someone as brainless as you." she gave me an insulting look.

Wait a fucking minute, did she just call me brainless? Unbelievable!

I stood up and walked to the fridge. There wasn't a thing for me. Apple juice, mango juice, and some costly wines which wasn't my thing. I was craving for blood.

"Looking for this?" Beata asked me, pointing at the blood bags on the table opposite the bed.

Bang!
