After a long and tiring wedding, the two woke up only at nine in the morning. Avians was the first to wake up and was somewhat surprised to find Adrian's face in front of her. She had almost forgotten that she and Adrian had just gotten married yesterday.
Luckily, she didn't scream when she saw Adrian sleeping with her. The man's hand was still wrapped around Avians' waist, as if guarding his wife while they slept.
She looked closely at her husband's face and slowly brushed his bangs away from his handsome sleeping face.
'I still can't believe I'm finally married to Ian. My curiosity about why he wants to marry me is still spinning in my head. Did he really want to marry me because I saved his life? It feels... Like a story in a novel' Avians thought.
Her index finger touched Adrian's cheek and rubbed it lightly, feeling her husband's soft cheeks.
"So handsome..." she murmured softly.
"Mnn..." Feeling Avians' touch, Adrian woke up and opened his eyes. He looked at Avians who had woken up first.
Seeing Adrian who opened his eyes, she reflexively pulled his hand away.
"S-sorry... I didn't mean to wake you..." she said.
"It's okay. I like it." The man's hand pulled Avians closer to him until their bodies were pressed against each other.
She could feel her husband's warm body, hugging her tightly as if he didn't want to be separated from her. Avians' heart was beating very fast again. She felt both excited and embarrassed, this was the first time a man seemed to want her so much.
"Ian?"
"Shh... Just a minute..." he whispered with his eyes still closed.
Avians could do nothing but smile, her heart melted because of what Adrian did even though it was just a warm hug for her.
Slowly Avians sank into Adrian's warmth until she closed her eyes to sleep again. Until the voice of Jonnah, the butler, woke them both up.
"Good morning Mr. Adrian, Miss Avians. It's nine o'clock in the morning, time to get up and have breakfast," Jonnah said from behind the door.
The billionaire opened his eyes again and released his embrace from Avians. "I think we should get up," he said.
"Y-yeah..." Avians' face was still red from earlier.
They cleaned up and changed their clothes and went to breakfast together as usual.
Today Avians' mood was better than usual. She felt very happy to be in the arms of the man she liked. All this time Avians' feelings for Adrian had been growing, making her like her own husband now.
All the kind gestures, words and the way Adrian looked at her like she was someone special made Avians' heart melt. This was the first time someone looked into her eyes and gave her this much feeling. Usually they always looked down on her as if she was not human.
The dark-haired man glanced at his wife who was smiling as she enjoyed her meal. He smiled too.
Instantly he remembered what happened last night after they both fell asleep.
Flashback
Only two hours into his sleep, Adrian suddenly heard the sound of Avians moaning. When he opened his eyes, he saw Avians crying in her sleep. Her body was trembling and she was squeezing the sheets of their bed tightly.
"No... Please don't. I'm sorry... I won't do it again. I'm sorry..." she mumbled over and over again.
"Avi? Avi..." Adrian tried to wake his wife from the nightmare. But Avians did not wake up.
He pulled her into his arms and held her tightly, as if to say that he would always be there for her.
"Shh it's okay, you're safe now. None of that will ever happen to you again, I'll make sure you'll always be safe with me.." he whispered and kissed Avians head.
Slowly Avians cries stopped, her body became calmer. Adrian gently rubbed his wife's head. The fear Avians had must have come from her trauma of always being treated badly by people around her, even her own parents.
"Take it easy... I'll be here for you..." he whispered again before finally falling back asleep.
Flashback End
Adrian was relieved that Avians seemed more energetic now.
'Is she like that every night? She goes through nightmares every night alone...' he thought.
"Avi," Adrian called.
"Yes, Ian?" The blue-eyed woman turned to Adrian.
Adrian's hand slowly reached Avians face and gently brushed the side of Avians lips. "You left something here..."
Feeling Adrian's touch, Avians gave a small gasp, but she tried to remain calm even though her heart seemed to want to jump out.
The servants around the dining room smiled to themselves at the romance of their master. Jonnah who was standing behind Adrian also smiled at the sight.
"Uh oh... Yes, thank you..."
"Yes, today we will go out. Get ready after breakfast..." the man said.
"Hmn... Where to?"
Adrian said they were going on a date together. Considering that before marriage they hadn't gotten to spend more time together outside, now he wanted to do it. Given that everyone already knew that Avians was his wife, so now it wasn't a problem anymore.
"You want to, right?"
Hearing the word date, Avians nodded happily. She had never gone on a date before, but this time she could go on a date with a guy she liked.
"Of course I will," she replied.
Finished with their breakfast, Adrian and Avians got into the car and they drove to their destination. Avians was curious as to where Adrian would take her.
After almost an hour of traveling, they finally arrived at a tourist spot that looked so beautiful.
How could it not be? As far as the eye could see, Avians could see a lot of various kinds of flowers around her. Tulips, roses, camellias and others.
Even the colors were different. Making the woman's eyes sparkle with admiration when she saw it. She felt so amazed by the scenery.
"Ian... This..."
"Do you like it? I deliberately brought you here so that you can enjoy it."
The man had even deliberately rented the place so that there would be no one but the two of them. He knew Avians were uncomfortable around people, plus there was no way he would come in a crowd. They would crowd around them and that would ruin their vacation.
As they walked around the place, a smile never left Avians' face. She was very happy to see the flowers blooming, such beautiful flowers.
"Oh... There's one that hasn't bloomed yet," Avians said when he saw a red rose nearby. She crouched down to get a closer look.
"Yeah, you know what that means?" asked Adrian as he knelt down next to his wife.
"What?"
"It means that she has not bloomed yet, she is waiting for the right time to open her petals and show her beauty. It's the same with you..." the man replied as he glanced at Avians.
"It may not be time for you to bloom now, but I assure you that you will bloom beautifully, and I will be there to protect you and see..." he continued.
Avians' blue eyes gazed into Adrian's gray ones. She felt so touched by the man's words. A flower that had not yet bloomed, waiting for the time to come to display its beauty, and Adrian would be there until Avians could become a beautiful flower.
"Ian."
Adrian smiled and gently rubbed Avians head. Avian held her own chest, feeling her heart racing. The excitement inside her seemed to want to burst out.
'How could... You give me this much love?'
