Chapter 158 - Hit list

Alabaster is working on getting rid of the barriers or at the very least, the barrier's condition that made the adults collapsed so no one is paying attention to her. As for Selim... she is a bit disturbed. He attacked them but there is something wrong with him and Violet could guess that too, but she doesn't know why he is unresponsive. Since Rufus found Rana, he wouldn't have to worry about some of the drawbacks to himself since killing her would affect his soul and he would have to take the backlash.

Amy looked up to see that the moon has already eclipsed half the sun. Everything is ready. Admittedly she has been preoccupied by the chaos in Solin that she briefly forgot what she is supposed to do. It is frustrating really. She kept her promise to not interfere too much, but she didn't expect Theseus to take the scrying ball and talk to her.

This story is already known for being unpredictable and the last thing she needs is to complicate things further. They would lose the advantage of their knowledge on future events because of these drastic changes. But the chaos has given her an opportunity. Away from Alabaster and Boris's attention, she has no real intentions of sitting back and doing nothing.

She is using Hecate and Triponia Hecate combined with the power of the fused energies of the sun and moon to create a portal much different. This is the only time when magic breaks natural law ever so slightly and with the right spell, she can break that barrier. Instead of actually going to the actual location to leave a checkpoint, she just has to imagine it and can teleport there.

The Cambion is a force of nature, and he is still unbeatable even at his weakest. The Cambion was weakened due to his time being sealed away. She cannot prevent his return, far from it. He has to reappear so that everyone could kill him for good but the best she could do is delay it and thus she made a list of people to kill if she were to get the chance. This was years of planning.

When she was informed of the eclipse, naturally, she began planning to kill multiple irredeemable people whose deaths won't affect the story too much or convert the ones she deems useful using the peonies. If she does this, she will save more lives and rid herself of future nuisances.

She grabbed her stone beads and poured them over the circle. The number is enough to make up a small army. This is a mission that cannot fail. While everyone back in Solin has to deal with the remnant assassins, she will have an assassination mission herself. She watched as the beads went through the portal and land in the desired location and each bead grows into a golem.

There are eight separate locations that the beads opened. Places that Hecate has never touched before. Her imagination and the eclipse broke through the laws of magic and made checkpoints in places she has never seen before. She knew the locations because it was revealed on the map in a fan book. With it, she will take care of the most troublesome villains. Most of these people are irredeemable anyway so their deaths don't matter at all.

Leaving the ball behind, she went through Hecate and teleport to the locations.

Taos walked in silence, visibly determined to find Rana, when he suddenly came across more bodies. Ever since Rufus Valerian started his killing spree, everyone else stayed in Rana's empty space for safety. Selim is the only one on the surface to care for her while Rana became too weak and ill. They had to change their plans which involves luring the prince to the Empty Space, but she teleported herself and now no one knows where she is.

There was an approaching figure, and he could already sense killing intent from this person. Before he could hide, he approached him.

"Where did you get this?"

The aura on this person was so strong that he cannot even see the person.

That person stared at the ball on his hand.

"Isn't that..." he pointed out before staring at him, "Give it to me."

Taos knew he is screwed whether or not he listens so he ran away.

Some of them are marked to death, others are rewritten. And they came from many different backgrounds. Because of that, it was difficult to find them. She decides to wait until she gets confirmation of success. For now, she is hovering over a cradle.

She watched the infant sleep in his cradle. She should feel bad for what she's about to do but secretly, she doesn't.

She saw that her golems took care of five others. Three of them were crushed to death, and two of them had the peonies planted in them. These golems are her own creations due to extensive research in earth magic and alchemy. She had initially wanted to make a walking house that she could live in but instead made the golems. They exist in the story, but no one usually has enough time to make an army of them without ruining the ecosystem and causing other ecological problems.

She looked at the child. He is extremely large for a baby and doesn't exert any weakness a baby should have. There is a reason she is visiting this place in person. He may not be the only Cambion supporter who is noble, but he is the only one who doesn't contribute to the story other than being a menace.

Fabian Arcus

A subordinate and fanatic supporter of the Cambion who is more like a demon than a human. His actions impress the Cambion enough to give a bit of his power to him. In a flashback, already as an infant, he has managed to rip of an ear off his nanny and prefers physical violence more than milk. His parents already don't know what to do with him, so they left him alone on his own. Amy entered the baby's room with his parent's permission. He may not have killed any important characters, but his kill count is by far the highest out of the Cambion's supporters and he like to eat his victims.

This baby in the future will grow up to be psychopathic, cannibalistic and dangerously strong, so she killed him, making it look natural. This child is already born this way. Changing his upbringing is not going to change his nature. All she could do is to give a swift painless death.

The door opens to a noble couple. They do not resemble their son at all.

"Is he dead?" the mother asked.

Amy stepped aside as the parents confirmed their son is dead. Teary-eyed, they murmured a thank you.

Fabian is considered a disgrace among ability users. He just had to have a demonic nature that makes him monstrous with an insatiable appetite for flesh and the lack of remorse. He scares his parents so much that they became abstinent and never have more children. They even hope that the Arcus line would die so that it wouldn't create another monster. Hopefully this child would grow up where he would be surrounded by loving people in the next life.

She stared at the Arcus couple. The Arcus family are a Getel noble house, and she has a few favors to ask of them. "Lord and Lady Arcus, there is something I must ask of you."
