Rufus barely got any sleep last night. He sent a message to the queen of his discovery, but he didn't tell her the whole truth. He warped it and because of that, it doesn't feel as credible. If he told the whole truth then she will never forgive him. The queen has yet to reply but he is going to continue doing his own thing. He watched the next match without any interest as he spent most of last night managing to figure out the letter's contents.
The contents of the letter are incredibly long, and the topic is mainly about weapons, saying that she is looking forward to finding more rare weapons and items to use one day and list the location of one of them including the details of the weapon being an arrow that could fly around the world in the right hands. The most eye-catching part of the letter is...
"It is called the Devil's arrow. It is one of the most powerful weapons in the world. No one could see it when used."
He realized that he needs to find this so-called Devil's arrow.
He tried to go back to the Moon Dormitory, but the curtains were drawn, the entrance is sealed away, and he cannot see the culprit. The whole thing continues to bother him as he heads to the colosseum.
The bracket changed. He is going up against Killian Aegion this time. Leon is going up against Natasha, Nathaniel is going up against a 5th year name Jon. The rest don't matter much but if Rufus makes it to the semi-finals, then he will go up against Leon or Nathaniel. He looked at the bracket, realizing that he has little time before his match and decides to talk to Theseus before his turn.
After finding him, he quickly approaches him.
"Ah Rufus, I didn't see you at all since your match. Where exactly did you go?" Theseus asked curiously.
"I need you to watch someone for me." He spoke.
"Who?"
Rufus eyed the person and Theseus followed his gaze. "Him. The one with the white hair."
Theseus barely recognize him but had a sense of deja vu. "He seems familiar."
"He is one of Amaryllis's friends."
That letter can only be sent to those Amaryllis is close to and he is one of them.
Theseus had a sharp gaze, realizing that he meant it, "Alright, I'll keep an eye on him."

Amy sat back in her spot in deep thought.
Rufus's character is a bit strange. He is hiding it quite well because the behavior from him is unlike what she knows of him. She expected him to take action by now but nothing of that sort happened. The worried and observant part of his nature is real but not everything else. The story states that Rufus used to be a kind and selfless person who genuinely wishes to help, and his behavior and actions certainly reflect that, but he is also conniving, manipulative with the capacity for cruelty. So far what she sees is that his kind nature is conditional. She always thought that Leon and Rufus are the same but have taken different paths thus becoming enemies, but things are far too different from the truth.
She mostly knew Rufus right now as someone who has yet to commit treason nor gone through the experience that led to that event. He cares for everyone even if others do not believe him and goes the extra mile even if he, himself, alienates everyone. As for Leon, he is the opposite. He may have a caring side, something he shows openly but only when it benefits him the most. Even though he is a main supporting character to Aron, he doesn't even blink to the deaths of complete strangers. Only if those deaths affect him would he care. She could relate to that because in a sense, they're not so different. They take action but their thoughts are intricate and complicating. He is still young right now; unassuming, less cloudy and more child-like unlike his story counterpart.
Interestingly, When it comes to their methods, he is headstrong and often times violent, while she remains hidden from it and uses any drastic measure as little as possible. The only times she has ever done that are when it is urgent just like her recklessness to rescue Norman.
Still, she is shocked of her indirect involvement in all of this. She began searching for any remnants of assassins since her first year, but they were all silent which is one of the reasons she befriended Selim because they are afraid of her and wouldn't make any rash movements with her around. Strangely enough, despite being absent in school during her second year, no one made any actions against Leon. If it is because they were researching and looking for the Devil's arrow, it would make sense. A powerful weapon that is too fast for the human eye to see is a huge advantage to them. Getting rid of Viola, Melissa, Sabina and Nathaniel makes even more sense. Melissa could heal any wounds made by the arrow and the other three would be able to sense and see it. And with her gone, she wouldn't be able to deduce who the assassin is because they know she would figure it out.
Selim is actually her first suspect from the start, but she kept an eye on him the whole time and he hasn't done anything that would set off any flags and neither has the rest of the team. She didn't go further than just to supervise and observe. She remained confident that they won't try anything but with the Devil's arrow getting involved, she is admittedly troubled with how wrong she is because he will be unable to use it. He is not a demon descendant. He should not be able to use that.
"What should I do? I sent the letter like you asked. What are you expecting from this?"
If they listen, then the arrow will be destroyed without me being there to purify it.
"This could go poorly."
It is the only way. The problem is that I don't know who has it. Only a demon descendant can use that arrow and the only demon descendants I know in our academy are Nathaniel and Leon. I don't know who the sniper is and it's driving me nuts.
"I am keeping an eye on Rufus. He is rather fixated on someone, and I think you know who it is."
She didn't even need to give it a second thought, Selim, Amy thought darkly.

The crowd is wild.
"Ladies and Gentlemen, In the fourth Round, we will have eight matches. Afterwards, we will also show case the Quarter final, semi-final and final matches here so we will see our new champions today!"
Leon will be the first to go up.
"Hey, what's the matter?" Nathaniel asked.
"I need your help. Your match comes up next so after you're done with that, I need you to look for something."
"What do you need me to find?"
"The stolen Crystal ball,"
Nathaniel seems shocked but kept quiet as he needs to hear more of what he has to say.
"There are circular rooms at the training ground where people practice their summoning circles. One of them has a hidden entrance but there might be more. One of them might have the crystal ball."
"I don't understand. Why do you think the Crystal Ball is our priority?"
"Do you not understand why this all happened when Amaryllis left? It's because she knows the assassin."
