Rufus watched as one by one; many people make it up to the top. A few of them are already extremely exhausted and some still look like they have energy to spare. Most of them are fourth or fifth years, unsurprisingly. Theseus is actually 5th place, no doubt he used his gravity ability to help him weigh down the competition and help himself reach the top of the tower. Nathaniel was in the top 20 and he looks tired but relieved that it was over.
"Hey, are you okay?" Rufus said, helping his friend up. He is a bit sweaty but that is understandable.
"My hands hurt." Nathaniel chuckled reassuringly.
"Man, it was quite challenging, but I love it!" Theseus said, "It was a really fun one unlike last time."
"I guess it is. After this, we're all gonna have to fight each other. This time, Leon's fighting. Everyone is scared. Look around." Nathaniel points around and Rufus could see the tension towards Leon who seems to relish in the attention. He's like a peacock, showing off his nonexistent feathers to everyone, basically telling them how much better he is. With Leon in the competition, he is going to be in the open. He's gonna be vulnerable and so is everyone else.

Amy, still wrapped in bandages, observed her wounds in the mirror. Now that she had proper sleep and time to rest, she decides to check on her wounds. She struggled to balance while standing up. A few of them required stitches but potions and healing items fixed some of the worst ones. Her bruises and scratches have already healed completely. Her face also healed. She also might have lost a tooth or two but the healing items grew her teeth back though she might need to see an actual dentist when she returns to the mainland. She was covered in her own blood and the blood of others when she came back but no one seemed bothered by it. She ensured everyone that despite fighting for her life, she made sure that no one died but she can't make any promises. The more serious wounds are still healing. Her eyes fell on the large one at her shoulder. She almost died from that one and would most definitely leave a visibly ugly scar, but she doesn't care. She came back and lived. She somehow survived two days in that underground hellhole, a terrifying but exhilarating accomplishment that she could brag back home. Although in future social gatherings, she might have to wear dresses to cover her permanent scar up.
Amy limped outside with a cane. She slept for over fifteen hours since she got back, and her days of recovery afterwards are going well. The treatment she is getting is far more like she is back home with Lisa and Kate being the most supportive caretakers even though she insisted she could care for herself. However, until she makes a full recovery, she is not allowed to leave the ship which is fine with her. She and Professor Wyatt talked for a bit after she woke up. He reprimanded her of her recklessness but also applaud her dedication to saving Norman, who apparently got the worse of his lecturing. He promised her more opportunities in the future. Norman, at least, had the decency to starve himself until she got to him and teleported him back. Luckily, no one including Norman, asked about her teleportation. The relief that they returned alive is more than enough.
She sat on an armchair at the ship deck, looking at the view of the sea. She will be watching the school tournament from Alabaster's point of view undisturbed, and it was entertaining but as much as she is interested in how Leon is so fast, reaching first place, she is more focused on a possible assassination attempt. In the guise of donation and sponsorship, Alabaster set up cameras to track and locate anyone in the audience who might try to snipe Leon or the others. Even the obstacle tower was something planned by the professors, aware of the possible situation, so that no one would try to use any illegal items to harm anyone.
She recalled hearing about the queen's involvement with the assassins and the lack of context is killing her. Not even the letters she received had any hints.
Leon is first place, Rufus is second, fifth year Killian Aedion is third, an unknown Team Comet 5th year is fourth place and Theseus is 5th. Nathaniel seems to be different this time. She can't put her mind into it but is curious to know if his eyes are still okay.
The most surprising contender is Salvador White, Sabina's younger brother. Using his strength, he pushed his way to the top. Salvador is a schemer and highly dependent for love in the story. Now, he is independent of any of that because he has all of that,. He passed the Dragon Test and now enrolled in the magic academy as a transfer student. He's only a year younger than his sister. Just how smart is this kid?
"Do you want me to come over and check up on you?" Boris asks, "You're in terrible shape."
Amy shook her head, Don't, she thought sharply, I'm alright. How is Sabina doing?
"She's fine. The surgery went well. She's healing at an incredible rate. After some physical therapy, she will have no trouble running though I notice that she is starting to use braces."
Braces for her legs? What does she intend to use them for?
"You tell me. I've seen her use them a couple of times in secret. Magic may have sped up her recovery, but she is still in a delicate stage. If she does something stupid, then that surgery would be useless."
Stay where you are just a bit longer. This tournament is going to need more skilled doctors like you more than ever.
In the story, Sabina isn't just only a fast runner, but she's also got a fast recovery rate. She just had major surgeries on her legs, and she seems to be healing well from them just fine. It is because of that, her chances of success of getting her legs back are much higher. But Boris called her a difficult patient because a lot of drugs do not work on her because her body metabolizes it quickly as well. Even ones that work instantaneously on normal people have at most a delayed effect on her.
This persistent part in the story is also a character trait to Sabina White, synonymous with her slight yandere nature.
