Leon was at his loudest today as he went to the most crowded part of the school and said, "You all heard the news that Nathaniel Yistle has gotten in an accident, hurt his eyes in the process and will leave the school. Well, I am here to tell you that he has made a full recovery and will return to school tomorrow. Also, this year, I will participate in this year's tournament where I promise that I will win this year."
Rufus is watching all this afar and nearly ripped his books in half. Leon is not an idiot so why the hell is he making this announcement?
*
She gripped her hands as she heard the announcement that Leon made in front of everyone with whatever of her wooden creations she had left.
Amy was in the middle of watching a fighting tournament and isn't cheering like everyone else is. She is reading the fight, studying their moves with her eyes. She remained coolheaded until now.
That dumbass! What the hell is he thinking?
Leon is not scared of hiding. To him, hiding didn't do him any good against the Ripper and it won't work for him. Hiding is a coward's move to him, especially for someone as powerful as him. She definitely would bet that is what he is thinking.
Leon may be reckless isn't stupid enough to go out like this without a plan. He is overconfident but the story justifies some of that until his untimely end. This is his greatest flaw. He is capable of planning well even if some of it is predictable but that is his adult self and even that could go terribly wrong. She figured that Rufus may have figured out who the assassin by now but isn't sure if he is confident on taking him out yet. This pains her deeply, but Alabaster advised her to stay out of this as they need to learn not to depend on her for everything if she were to depend on them in the future. She did and this shit happens.
And now Leon intends to go to the tournament where it would most likely have a trap set up for him. The tournament may be deemed safe with a no killing rule, but accidents still happen, and people could still die in the tournaments. Since Leon is the obvious main target, they will not go with tricks like sending him away or poison. It is probably the best-case scenario to attack him directly as tricks like these won't work as well after constant use like this. Nathaniel's attack was evident of that.
She then paid attention to Rufus as his calm facade begun fading away.
Boris is working on Sabina's legs at the moment and with the tournament date getting close, the last thing she needs him to do now is add more work to his already growing list of problems.
Leon, Rufus, I hope you guys know what you're doing.
She then sadly looked through Ramiro's eyes at her family home. It looks like the servants are all attentive, following Boris's instructions to the very last letter but she's still unconscious. This person had no intention of going after her. She knows that. They don't want her to find out. By putting Viola is a deep sleep coma, stealing the scrying orb to communicate with the academy and hiding it, as well as not directly or truly harming them, this person is afraid of retaliation. This person knows who she is, knows what she's capable of and is afraid to go up against her which is why this person strikes almost immediately after she left the mainland. Because of that, she is quick to figuring out who the responsible party could be and even some of the accomplices though lacks both the time and resources (thanks to Rufus) to properly investigate on her own, so she doesn't know everything.
Amy frowned as she continued to watch the fight, quieter than ever. Things are progressing fast. The question is, could she trust them?

Rufus has no time to deal with Leon's shenanigans right now. He quickly marched up to him when they are alone and slammed him against the wall, fury overtakes him.
"Do you have any idea what you've done?!"
"I let their guard up." he answered nonchalantly.
"You told the truth. Nathaniel could get attacked again at any moment and it might be too late. It took a lot of effort to keep everything hidden for everyone's safety."
"I know what I'm doing." Leon assured him and broke out of the hold, "I bet you know what you're doing too."
Rufus has an intolerable look on his face. He cannot stand him right now.
"Everyone knows me as I am. Whoever this person is clearly knows me on the surface. They will follow everything to the word."
"Yes!" Rufus says gruffly, "Because you announced the truth!"
"Is anything I said actually truthful though?" he whispered in his ear with a familiar cunning look.
Rufus is puzzled. Why is this guy acting so cryptic right now?
"You're just fucking with me, aren't you?"
Leon shrugged with a dumb grin on his face and left leaving Rufus confused. It's best not to talk to him for the time being.
"I'm gonna visit Nate and Sabina now. I gotta tell them the good news though they're not gonna like it." He says joyfully and left in a literal skip and a hop away like a five-year-old.
He knew Leon the longest and sometimes he still cannot understand his logic. He does whatever he wants and is quick to make decisions. He kills without a single thought. Despite the facade and playful personality, Leon is terrifying, and no one has ever saw that side of him. Even Rufus can be afraid of him. Over these past few months, Leon has been holding back and he might let go.
This cannot do. He has to act now.

Meanwhile the group is getting anxious. The announcement that Nathaniel Yistle has recovered is a red flag. Dealing with him is already a struggle but to deal with two others stronger than him is alarming news. They are basically telling them that they know everything and are not afraid of what they will plan next.
But they have severely underestimate them because trickery and stealth like this isn't the only thing they specialize in.
What they don't know is that the scrying orb is listening to the meeting taken place and who is listening other than Alabaster and others through him. They all probably thought that it is disconnected. There is a reason why this thing is so expensive and much valuable than the typical scrying orb. That thing has an insanely long battery life, multiple features and makes a great listening tool. It may be hidden somewhere but anyone with the other orb could hear it clearly. Because Amy cannot be with the orb 24/7, she lends it to Alabaster who is ironically not as busy as her and Boris but still listening in through him.
It has been days since her time on Ran, but she is learning quite a lot and she's not talking about the customs or lessons from Ryota.
"Alabaster, you know what to do right?" she said.
"I recorded the conversation. Now we just need to find someone who is good at discerning voices at the academy to listen to this."
Rufus has plans but she trusts his skills. Now that everyone has their guard up, he could swoop in. The attention isn't focused on him after all. She heard the sounds of children on the other side. They are smart, yes and they planned well so far but she could tell that they are beginning to panic, and opinions are strewing around resulting in arguments, and some are beginning to have second thoughts. But they don't know everything yet and if she is right then there will be a bloodbath.
Then she heard a commotion outside and walk out of her tent just in time for Lisa to stop before accidentally colliding with her, panic-stricken.
"Woah, what's the matter?"
"Norman ate Ran food."
Amy's mind stopped to process this for a brief moment. This is bad.
