Dammit
The room is filled with smoke and the darkness is not helping. Then he tries to concentrate on any strange movement instead to predict whatever move is up against him, but his eyes burn. He closes them shut and the tears came down. He is defenseless.
He then decides to depend on his other senses instead. After feeling something, he dodged it and grabbed the person's arm, arresting him on his bed.
"Who are you?"
But the figure broke out of the hold and hit Nathaniel's cheek, grazing him. Grabbing whatever he can, he uses it to either block him or just throw stuff at him.
Gritting his teeth, he jumped off the bed and kicked something at his assailant. The intruder blocked it but was stunned momentarily by Nathaniel's disappearance. He escaped through the window.
Nathaniel is running through the grounds and the critters all took notice of Nathaniel and the intruder. Nathaniel is running blind but thanks to the chitters, he managed to get the garden, and he washes his eyes, but he is unable to open them. He can't see. Then he heard human footsteps. He knew that the person had to employ tricks. Sabina isn't bright to escape out of situations, but she is a fighter which would explain why the assailant is surprisingly slow.
"It seems Sabina managed to hurt you as well."
The figure stood there silently as if to read him before the steps are becoming distant. Nathaniel is blind so he cannot be sure what is going on.
Then one of the birds pecked something and the entire garden is filled with birds. Nathaniel may not be as fast but there are other ways he could fight back.
The assailant is mystified as he attacked him with a magic powered punch which sends him flying.
"Just because I'm blind, doesn't mean I don't have other methods to see you." he says.
The person tries to leave but Nathaniel is much faster as he grabs onto his arm and pushes him down. The two continue to exchange blows that become faster and faster until he could hear the person grunt. He is trying to make this guy make some sort of sound from his mouth so that he would know where his head is. With no visual, he cannot tell if the person is taller or shorter than him.
Charging up an attack at his feet, he kicked the guy, and he realized he blocked him and pushed him away. Hopefully Rufus hears the ruckus by now. He lives on the opposite wing, meaning he is the farthest from where he is. Nathaniel stared into hopefully could be his eyes and they glowed a dim red. After getting a feel of his body, he is now confident enough to say that he finally got him.
His records state that he has the ability to see far off distances, but an added variant of his ability is to paralyze people through eye contact; a trump card in which his enemies wouldn't expect. He doesn't need to see or even have functioning eyes to use the Medusa sight.
With the help of the birds, he was led to the fountain to wash his eyes again but stopped upon hearing frantic squawks and without thinking, he ducked down the fountain and he heard something zip by and hit a nearby tree. It happened so suddenly that he can't make out what happened. It clearly aimed at him so it's another accomplice. Soaking wet, he ripped his heavy, wet shirt off of him while avoid the zooming apparatus. He cannot sense the person who is doing this.
A sniper then?
He grits his teeth. This is ironically the most disadvantageous position right now. If he has his sight, then he could've spotted the person by now.
He did a backflip, dodging some sort of projectile as it landed in front of him. He then approached the frozen assailant, and the attacks seem hesitant for a brief moment. Whoever it is, doesn't want their friend to get hit. Unless... he then remembers the paralyzed guy. He could be responsible for this. He kept moving and knocked the person out cold just in case and carried him around while running away. Using sensory magic, he could sense his immediate surroundings and ran like hell. He didn't sense whatever is chasing him, so he set him down.
He pats the guy down and is surprised to find no weapons, including hidden weapons on him. Confused, he grabbed his things. He cannot see it nor identify it by touch. This guy probably thinks that he's weak or useless without his sight, but he thought wrong. He's trained himself of his weaknesses. But if this guy is not armed, he has no intentions of killing him at all.
"Deste"
Then reinforced vines tied him up head to toe. He touched his body to check for wounds and while he will bruise and feel pain soon after, he will be fine for the most part. He then touched his head and felt a small cut. That's right, that is the thing that zoomed past him. It grazed him. It is thin, nearly silent and extremely fast. It is a strange weapon.
Then he heard something strange and took cover.
BBBBBBBBBBBOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOMMMMMMMMMM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
His ears are ringing, and he is disoriented before collapsing. The person used a bomb.
Then that person's approaching footsteps came to a stop as he turned his body around to examine his eyes.

Rufus woke up to the sound of the birds at his window. He armed himself and ran to where they were leading him and by the time he got to the garden, they're gone. The gardener is going to be angry at the mess tomorrow. He heard an explosion in the distance, but it is too far and too quiet to wake anyone up. But he continued to run. He could've gotten the teachers, so he sends some of the birds to go alert them while he goes look for Nathaniel. When he got there, he saw a shadowy figure holding a large needle like appendage appearing to finish an unconscious Nathaniel off, but he ran upon noticing Rufus. Summoning a monstrous moose, he set it loose on the assassin while getting a large war peacock to protect Nathaniel.
But with a quick zoom sound, the assassin is gone.
"Dammit!"
