Amy chatted to Rosalina before leaving to the carriage. She says that the Royal Academy is also affected with the Ripper, but many students are still gonna enroll. Amy took advantage of her big mouth telling her the Ripper will not come back just to get everyone to finally relax. Not everyone is willing to believe it but at least they are less afraid. She then checked up on Alina who seems to be doing well. In fact, she's getting married. Unfortunately, she cannot attend the wedding so she can only congratulate her while they are linked.
When she arrived at the Magic Academy, it seemed empty because there aren't enough first year to fill in the number of students in their team due to the previous fifth years graduating.
The Entrance ceremony was delivered with little fanfare at first, but Leon and Rufus broke in during the entrance ceremony again and this time brought unicorns (fake one). Because of Margaret's death, there are less students this year than the previous years as there is only three Team Sun members who are first years. For once, none of the teachers are not willing to stop them as this excitement is what everyone needs.

This year is gonna be different as she stared at a specific sign-up sheet, wishing she could sign it but it is for fifth years only. The Conspiracy club disbanded when the Ripper was taken care of as there isn't any conspiracy they could think and get rid of. After seeing the professor's name, she heads to Professor Wyatt's office, hoping to persuade him to let her join.
After knocking on the door, Professor Wyatt opened it with a bit of surprise in his expression. He is thin, has thick glasses and is basically what a nerdy professor looks like. Also, he is one of her favorite professors as he teaches Ancient Languages and is passionate about his work and field. He was supposed to go on a year long expedition, but the trip got cancelled as the Ripper prevented that. But now that the Ripper is gone, he can continue that expedition. He bragged to the class that he planned it for years now, but his spirits were down when he is forced to cancel it.
"Professor, I wish to join your Island Expedition."
He is taken aback by her request.
"You saw the sign-up sheet? Well, I'm afraid it is for fifth years."
"Professor Wyatt, you know me. I am the best in my year in Ancient Languages. And if you are worried about my nobility, I have survival skills, combat training and know enough magical knowledge to use in real world situations."
He seems reluctant but nodded at her reasoning. "You will have to discuss this with the other teachers first and then I'll consider it though I admit that you are my best student of your year, but it requires at least knowledge outside of the existing three which would be introduced in Ancient Languages 4." he said.
"There is Kanji, and I can write it."
She grabbed a blank sheet of paper and a pen and began writing it down for him to see. Although her knowledge is elementary in comparison to her proficiency in the other three, it is still something to commend a girl who barely just started her fourth year in school would know.
After analyzing it, the professor smiled at her. "Alright, you convinced me. Though, I am curious, why are you so interested in joining?"
"I am curious, professor. There is much of the world I haven't seen so I want to see it."
"Well, I guess being around the prince and Valerian would be quite stressful and tiring.... Alright, you can join but ask your other teachers and get their permission first. AND-" he emphasized, "Don't ever tell anyone about this if you got everyone's permission. I do not wish for Prince Leon or Rufus Valerian to join in."

After a whole day getting everyone's permission in the form of signatures, she goes back to her room, tired. She proved to everyone that she has reached past fourth year level and now she is officially going on this expedition. Professor Wyatt intends to announce his leave on the first day and introduce his substitute and also her intentions to join him. She is afraid that if she announces the news too early then everyone else would want to join and there would be too many people. He made the exception for her after all. She will be joining along with two Comet fifth years. She will be visiting most of the existing forty-seven islands and they are the ones that uses ancient languages and with ruins written in one. Besides, the last thing she needs is either Leon, Rufus or Viola to join in and either screwing things up or putting them in danger.
The Island Expedition is going to not only take the school year but a chunk of her vacation back home as well. It will be exciting, educational but also extremely dangerous. Not every islander is welcoming to the mainland, and some are so out of touch with the rest of the world that they will worship her as a god if she shows off even a small fraction of her power. If that isn't bad enough then some of the story's enemies are based there and some are pure evil.
If that's the case then why is she making such a sudden, drastic decision?
That is because some of the most important items and places in the story are currently at those islands. The beginning of many disastrous events happened there, and the story characters are extremely ignorant. Only the readers know. A lot of things happened behind the scenes and excluding the Islanders that appear in the story, almost none of the in-story characters have ever actually left the Grand Continent. This is a golden opportunity to check things out, find the items and either destroying them or keeping them, hopefully she can stop some events from happening. She might have to murder some people but if it is for the good of the world and the lives that lost to them in the story then it will be worth it.
Amy chuckled coldly to herself. She feels like a serial killer.
She is already a killer. She is one step closer to becoming one.
