Amy opened the door before the person could knock on the door. It is Viola and she looks terrified.
"What's wrong?" Amy said in a comforting tone.
"Something is here in this very building. It moved so fast that it woke me up and I'm scared." she shivered fearfully. "It's moving everywhere so fast."
Amy was surprised. Something intruded into the Sun Dorm and no one noticed? Alarms would have come off by now if that were the case. Viola has a naturally jittery personality when it comes to her sixth sense, but Amy trusts her sister's instinct. She could see that Viola is holding the knife that she gave her as well. Amy head to her case and opened it to take a weapon and strap some of the equipment on her. She did it fast so there is no time to waste.
"Do you know what it is?" she asked with a dark look as she exit the room with Viola by her side.
Viola shook her head fiercely, still terrified out of her wits. "No, I don't. It felt so cold. I never felt anything like it."
"Where is it?"
Viola was shivering and held onto her sister's arm as she slowly led her to where the scary presence is. Viola then stopped walking as her eyes were wide with realization. "It's gone." she muttered. "But... it's at..."
Amy stared at her sister in confusion. Viola began running and Amy ran after her. Viola stopped at a door and attempt to open it. Amy immediately recognized the room as soon as she saw the sign.
Unable to open the door, Viola began banging on the door. "Open up, it's me!" She shouted.
It is the middle of the night, and everyone is asleep by now. With the commotion that she's making, the other students staying in this wing of the dorm are beginning to wake up and check out the source of that yelling.
"What's going on?" Their red-haired head girl walks towards them, grouchy after being woken up so abruptly. Her bed hair is disheveled, then she sports a serious look upon seeing Amy's weapon. "And why are you armed?"
"I don't know." Amy replied, "Viola said that she felt something enter this room and asked me to follow her."
"Something entered the room?" Amelia said in confusion. She looked at the door with an understandably curious expression turning concerned. "Either she's a deep sleeper or something's wrong." She then joined Viola in attempting to open the door. "Oi, Open up!"
Everyone else stood there confused. Those that are extremely tired already head back to their rooms but the ones who are curious enough stood by.
Impatient, Amelia pushed Viola aside. "Stand aside." She pulled out her wand and shouted, "Xecliodste!!!"
The door finally unlocked, and the door basically flung open. At first sight, everyone who's close to the door gasped in horror and shock then came the cries and screams. Some of them already ran out in fear to either inform a teacher or to throw up as she could hear the sound of regurgitation from afar. The screams are loud enough to wake everyone else in the dorm now. Viola collapsed on the ground with a loud distraught scream and heavy tears. Amy's eyes widen, taking in the sight in front of her. The bed is completely covered in blood, dripping onto the floor and pieces of flesh scattered all over the room. The room's occupant long recognizable translucent white hair is also scattered, stained with blood.
The Ripper has infiltrated the Sun dorm. Margaret Lune is dead.
*
This night has traumatized everyone who saw what happened. The area is cleared entirely out of people, and everyone is ordered to stay in empty rooms until the matter comes to an end though most decide to group together. Margaret's room was filled with investigators, forensics experts and a clean-up crew. There are no doubts that people are questioning how the Ripper got in unnoticed. Viola cried all night and fell asleep with Amy and the girls for company. Amy also made sure to watch over them, so she never slept.
The next morning, she and Amy were called in and questioned. They asked what they were doing, and both explained Viola's sixth sense and that she sensed something extremely fast zoom around the dorm before it stopped in Margaret's room and then it disappeared. As impressive as Viola is, as she is the only person able to sense it, it doesn't solve the overlying problem. They probably figured out it is a ghost by now, but a ghost is incapable of this. It cannot travel the whole world and can only be at a certain distance of its medium or contracted owner, not to mention materialize to enter the security to kill her. None of the teachers or students have ever left the academy so the identity of the culprit is still a mystery. Otherwise, they would have sensed it and trigger the alarm.
After the interrogation, they were sent home.
Classes were cancelled as no one would want to go to class under these circumstances. The professors have much to discuss as well. A student died after all. People are gonna question the safety of their children. Margaret's family is gonna be devastated when they find out.
Everyone else was silent. Those willing to talk about it did it secretly so no one would overhear it.
Amy kept an eye on Viola, making sure she ate, got emotional support, wash up and accompanied her. Overall, she is listless, depressed and unresponsive the entire day. After Viola fell asleep, Amy was about to go use the bathroom when someone knocked on the door. She opened it to reveal Theseus. He immediately noticed Viola asleep and was silent.
Amy quietly closed the door behind her.
"How is she?"
"She's functioning." she said, unsure how to word it, "I had to basically make sure she eats or wash up."
He nodded. "I can't believe the Ripper came here. We might have to go home at this rate."
The school year is almost coming to a close so leaving the academy is not upsetting news. It's the school closing that is disheartening. With all these high-level protections fail, there might not be any more options to go back.
"Perhaps," Amy agreed, "We only have a little bit of time before spring."
"How did she find out the Ripper? Does she know who the Ripper is?"
Seeing Theseus's worried expression, she put a firm hand on his shoulder, "I'll keep watch over her."
He nodded and looked at her eyes. "Are you okay? I could tell you haven't slept."
Amy shook her head. There is no hiding it. "Of course not. Our classmate died and everything is coming apart. But I will be fine. For everyone's sake, I have to be."
Theseus gave her a light smile. "You are always the strong one. Sabina is holed up in her room and Melissa is even more quiet as usual. Nate is also silently mourning his own way. I haven't checked up on Rufus yet. In fact, I haven't seen him at all. He's not even in his room."
He is probably gonna meet Leon.
"Don't forget that we're all here." He assured her.
She nodded and watched him leave. As she walked inside, she saw that Viola is awake and sitting on the bed. Amy approached her and sat by the bed.
"Big Sister," she said hoarsely, her voice affected by the screaming.
Amy is spooked. Viola always called her Amy. She rarely calls her big sister unless, she is extremely happy or angry.
"I know that you've been researching on the Ripper since this whole thing started." she said, then gripped her blanket, "If you find it and find a way to get rid of it, kill it."
