The three of them return back to the palace though upon arrival, Amy was compelled to throw up and fall but stopped herself by supporting herself at a nearby wall and Rufus who pat her on the back.
"Oh damn, I thought you're gonna throw up. Most people did the first time." Leon marveled then sneered at Rufus. "This guy did. On me."
"We traveled at the speed of light. Of course, we're gonna throw up from that." Rufus refuted.
Amy purified any vomit that was gonna come out. Oh, dear god, I can taste it. She immediately regrets eating all that food from earlier. Everything is spinning around her. "I'm fine," she said though the nausea and vertigo.
"Let's get you some water first then you can meet the prince." Rufus suggests gently which she accepts. She needs to be in peak condition.
After Rufus took her to an empty drawing room, he quickly left to get her some water. She admits that while she puts Rufus in a bad light, he is still surprisingly considerate.
Leon sat next to her while she waits for the feeling to go away. Leon's presence isn't helping her right now.
"Why can't you use your power to get rid of the nausea?" he asked curiously.
Amy glared at him while still suffering from the effects. "Why didn't you warn me of this?" she snapped, "Besides, that is not how this power works."
Everyone's powers are romanticized and praised to be God-like as it is the legacy of the angels and demons they descended from. But people are ignorant of the downsides, catch or inconvenience their ability brings them. Despite how overpowered the purification ability is; it still doesn't get rid of something that doesn't physically exist. The nausea and vertigo were caused by the teleportation, and she cannot get rid of the symptom as it is her body's reaction. If she gets poisoned, she could get rid of the poison but not all the effects. But it isn't an issue anymore, she trained her body to subconsciously purify anything that would start entering her body if it is harmful. Every ability user has a certain downside to their ability other than just draining their magic. The only exception is Leon and his reality bending powers.
The door finally opened to Rufus bringing a clear glass of water. Without so much as a warning, she snatched the glass and chugged it down. The water helps with the nausea and after getting it out of her system, she got up from her spot.
"Thank you, Rufus," she gratefully says to him before turning her eyes to Leon. "Alright, let's get this meeting over with." she irritably said and got up from her seat and head out the door with the others following behind her, still holding her cup. Without anyone noticing, she turned it into a push dagger.
After getting to the door, Amy was just about to open it but suddenly, someone just grabbed her wrist. Before Amy could retort, the person put a finger to her lip to shut everyone up. Leon and Rufus looked equally as stunned.
The person who grabbed her is Lysander and right behind him is Claudia.
"You can't go in there." Claudia whispered frantically, "It's a trap."
"A trap?" the trio repeated.
I knew it. Amy thought. This meeting is going to poorly for her.
"They are planning on kidnapping her." Lysander whispered. "Take her to Hekaton."
Why is everyone so invested into this power? she thought miserably.
"They plan on brainwashing her. I overheard them."
All of them moved farther away from the door so that they can talk more.
This isn't something as simple as a fight between kids both publicly and privately. This is a matter between two nations. If anything happens, the blame would surely be on them.
"Do you know how they will brainwash me?" Amy asks suspiciously.
Claudia looked at Amy. Her eyes show unusual bravery. Amy is no mind reader but for her to suddenly come and tell her this without similar suspicions from her schoolmates is suspicious enough.
"Prince Alphonso is planning to use a spell on you that he guaranteed will work and that he will be welcomed back for bringing our founder's powers. I may be from Hekaton, but I cannot take it anymore. I decided to tell Lysander first before he convinced me to warn you." she said fearfully.
Rufus looked at Claudia and Lysander. "They're both telling the truth." he noted.
Leon has an uncharacteristic dark expression on his face. He is still smiling but it is different than his usually playful self. It is quite familiar to look at as it reminds her of the first time, he has gone rampant.
Also, Rufus seems unsurprised, his gaze hardened. Amy trusts his words, mostly because of his ability to see through people.
"Alright, what do we do?"'

Prince Alphonso held a small box in his hands and is admittedly reluctant to use it after stealing it from the interrogation room. This item is normally used to torture or interrogate but it has other uses.
"My prince, surely there is another way. This method is illegal. We're gonna be sent back." Fiona said in a pleading tone.
"But if we come back empty-handed then things will not get better for us." Baldwin said.
They made a huge gamble coming here especially with this whole Ripper nonsense. Bringing back one of the Anthos twins will give him the recognition he deserves and the beginning of a new era. Everyone who came with him has similar reasons and agreed to this plan except Claudia as she has nothing to gain from this.
He nervously twirled the box in his hands as he waits for Claudia to bring Amaryllis Anthos. He would have personally ask for Violet Anthos to come here instead of her twin but it might be easier to recruit the weaker sister who also shares the same power.
