Just then, Rhett ran up to us, his worried gaze fixed on me.
He glanced at the pile of ash underneath my feet with creased eyebrows before turning his gaze back to me, but this time I saw the confusion in his eyes.
"What happened? Have you guys been able to find the vampire lord's coordinates?" He asked hesitantly.
I was still left stunned by the vampire lord's words. I heard him speak to me. He talked inside my head.
I wasn't hearing things, he'd somehow found a way to get into my head and gave me that threat.
With a gulp, I turned to Rhett. "We have to head to his lair, now. He knows we're here. He's waiting for us."
Rhett blinked back in surprise, glancing at Aceco, who remained speechless.
Eventually, he drew in a deep breath and blurted. "If he's aware of our presence, then I guess there's no use hiding or being... 'gentle' with our attacks. Let's end this..."
