My skin itched, as I held myself back from just running to the door and throwing myself into his arms.
Gamma Rhett.
It was more obvious now that he was the one at the other end of the door. Even from that distance, I could pick up the scent of his musky cologne, causing my body to burn with desire. Memories of last night flashed through my head, my wolf growling in a way that made me realize that she wanted him.
But I couldn't go meet him. I couldn't open the door. So, I got up, trying to hide in my room. However, Cullen's voice called me back, as the knocking from Rhett continued.
"Where do you think you're going? That's the door, go answer it." He nearly hollered, forcing me to look at him like he'd gone mad. The betrayer!
He was going to let Rhett know I was here. I had to make it up by explaining what happened this morning better to him. Yeah, I guess that could work.
