Chapter 1 - Chapter 1

In a martial arts training ground in the palace of the Great Zhou Dynasty, two young men were sparring. The two figures kept intertwining and colliding.

One of these two people was Zhou Yuan, the prince of the current Zhou Dynasty. The other was one of Zhou Yuan's attendants and his most important friend, Li Jingshen. Li was shocked.

Li Jingshen mentioned that he was still a "traveller" picked up by Zhou Yuan in the forest more than ten years ago.

At that time, Zhou Yuan was still a child, and Li Jingshen also became a child. Consequently, their relationship deepened as they continued to interact, eventually evolving into a close friendship and brotherhood.

Initially, Li Jingshen did not bear the name "Li Jingshen"; he had an ordinary name. However, to adopt a more imposing name, he chose a different one.

While Li Jingshen initially thought the name was impressive, over time, he found it a bit odd. Despite the name feeling strange, he continued using it without change.

In the more than ten years since arriving in this world, Li Jingshen had never attempted to get his pulse read. Instead, he accompanied Zhou Yuan in practising Origin Patterns, strengthening his physical body, and engaging in calligraphy and musical instruments to help Zhou Yuan cope with the depression of being unable to open his meridians.

"Jingshen," Zhou Yuan stopped and looked up at Li Jingshen, saying, "Well, what's wrong?"

"In three days, I will go to my Zhou family's ancestral land to explore the possibility of opening my pulse," Zhou Yuan said to Li Jingshen with a solemn expression.

Li Jingshen looked at Zhou Yuan, who appeared nervous, and smiled, "You seem worried."

"Of course, you would be worried; this is a rare opportunity!" Zhou Yuan said excitedly.

Li Jingshen looked at Zhou Yuan and remarked, "Don't worry; it will definitely succeed. After all, more than ten years have passed, and your light should bloom!"

Upon hearing this, Zhou Yuan was slightly startled, his eyes slightly red. He trusted himself so much during difficult times. He returned to normal and said with a smile, "Why do you have more confidence in me than I do?"

Li Jingshen just looked at Zhou Yuan with a smile and said nothing.

After a long time, Zhou Yuan spoke again, "If I still can't open the pulse this time, just open the pulse and practice."

In the evening, the sun began to set. In the forest outside the Great Zhou Palace, two young men and a young girl sat around a bonfire. The flames illuminated their bodies, creating a warm atmosphere. The girl had white and tender skin, a straight nose, apricot-shaped eyebrows, and a tear mole in the corner of her eye, adding a touch of charm. However, worry was evident on her beautiful face.

Three days later, Li Jingshen and Su Youwei stood in front of Zhou Yuan, speaking words of encouragement to him.

"Okay, let's go, don't be so impatient!" Li Jingshen took the lead in "driving" Zhou Yuan away.

"Yes, Your Highness, go quickly, I wish you success!" Su Youwei also sent her blessing to Zhou Yuan.

"Well, thank you!" Zhou Yuan nodded to express his gratitude, "Then, I'm leaving!"

As soon as he finished speaking, Zhou Yuan jumped on the carriage. Follow him to his ancestral land.

After they lost sight of Zhou Yuan, Li Jingshen and Su Youwei walked back side by side. "Do you think His Highness can succeed this time?" Su Youwei looked slightly uneasy and asked Li Jingshen.

"No problem, no problem." Li Jingshen waved his hand towards Su Youwei and continued, "He is a dragon, how can he not succeed?"

Su Youwei felt a little relieved after hearing these words, but she still felt a little helpless, "There's nothing I can do about you."

the next day Li Jingshen and Su Youwei appeared again outside the Great Zhou Palace, waiting for Zhou Yuan. Gradually, a black spot appeared in their sight, and then the black spot gradually enlarged, and the outline of a carriage appeared.

The two waited quietly for a moment and finally saw Zhou Yuan on the carriage, waving to them, looking very cheerful.

"Huh--, it looks like it was successful." Su Youwei breathed a sigh of relief.
