Chapter 34 - Chapter 33 – Nebula

I am once again in that space with the nebula, so I think I am asleep at the moment. It's good to know that this place was not just a very vivid and strange dream; I can feel my connection to this place.

Nothing has visibly changed around here, maybe because not much time has passed or because it's not meant to change. But perhaps I'm just not noticing the changes, although this place has never had a defined shape.

All that can be seen is a cloud of something that keeps changing color according to my feelings. It's challenging to define this place; one moment it's green and red, and the next it's blue and yellow. The smoke continues to move randomly all over the place.

But one interesting thing I noticed just now is that I can feel this entire place, and somehow I can sense that it has grown in size. A very subtle change, but I can feel it nonetheless.

As I am just a kind of point of light in the center of all this, I don't have the freedom to take measurements. So, I can only rely on my instinct. Another thing I'm feeling is that I have more control over the nebula, a small but still noticeable change, like going from 10 to 10.5.

It's challenging to explain, but I can feel that it's larger. It's like sensing when someone takes a step higher than usual. I believe I'm feeling the same thing now; somehow I can feel the difference in size.

I have to learn more about this place and better understand what it is, its purpose, how I end up here, and what it means to me. I don't believe this place is just a vivid dream; I'm almost certain that it is much more than it seems, or at least I hope so.

Imagine my disappointment if all this turns out to be nothing more than some kind of trauma or imagination created by the brain due to my "reincarnation." That would make me very sad.

But anyway, I'll test and play around here until it's time to wake up; that's what happened last time. Meanwhile, I hope to have some fun to better digest everything I've learned in the past few days.

I think it's also a good opportunity to organize all my thoughts and come up with some strategic questions that have yet to be answered.

For example...

What is the true function of the masks the girls always wear when leaving the palace? Is it some kind of magic that relaxes them and conceals their presence? And why do they all have to wear them? Do they all have some kind of emotional issue?

Another thing I recently noticed... My sense of smell is not as keen as I thought. Women here emit strong and distinctive pleasant smells.

If my sense of smell were sharp, I would smell all kinds of scents, but even the delicious food served in the palace seems to have a normal smell. So... do women emit such strong scents due to some magical effect?

Furthermore, what is the Supreme Council of Bordium really? Is it like a court or some kind of legislative body? Or is it some kind of monarchist organization? And what exactly is Bordium? A kingdom, a country, an empire?

How does the government of this place work? How does it control power and act? Can only dragons be part of the government? Is this place governed by dragons only?

Why is the sun here so bright? Whenever I'm near a window, my eyes hurt when the sun is strong. Is this a problem with my eyes, or does the sun emit much more light here?

Why am I developing so quickly? I'm around 50 days old, and yet I can already roll in bed, sit alone, and my vocal cords are starting to function more complexly.

I suspect I'll be walking and talking shortly after reaching 150 days. But none of the women here seem to find that surprising, which tells me it's not...

So many questions... So many things I need to learn... Fortunately, I still have plenty of time to hunt for answers to all of them. For now, I just want to sit and relax a bit while being pampered in the process.

I enjoy learning more about this world; information is power, but that doesn't mean I need to despair. I'm comfortable for now, and one way or another, I gather some interesting information.

I need to focus my efforts on learning the language the girls speak. I spend more time with them than with Mom and Abigail, and probably it's the language spoken in this place.

It would be interesting to know why I can understand the dragons. But that would be a waste of time for now; I'll focus only on learning from the girls. I can already understand some words.

Credit to Marien and Mahara who love teaching me words. I hope they're not teaching me nonsense; Hendrina always laughs when she sees them teaching me words, something seems off.

Anyway... I went to bed very early today because I felt strangely tired. I don't know how long it's been since I fell asleep tonight, so I don't know how much time I'll spend here... Maybe time is distorted here.

I think I'll just relax and do some random things until I wake up. Let's try to remember something that might be useful in the future...

When I woke up, I was lying in the same soft bed and in the same room where I woke up this morning. I don't know if it's the same day; after all, the last time I slept and dreamt of the nebula, several weeks had passed since the last waking memory.

In the meantime, I was adopted, gained a bond and a Nexum with Mom, which I still don't exactly know what it means. So... the same thing may have happened and a few weeks have passed since then.

Just to confirm my memory, several days have passed since the last news about Nala until the dream day. Probably something between 20 and 21 days after she paid us that pleasant visit, meaning 20 or 21 days since I woke up from the first dream.

But I've already noticed some differences. Unlike the first time, when I was awakened by the intense light of the sun, I was now being illuminated by the soft light of the moon. Or rather, the moons, since you can see 2 moons through the window, one yellow and the other with a much redder tone.

I can't understand how much this might affect the earth's illumination, but the brightness they emit is strangely strong, as strong as a full moon night on earth. But they are far from being full; they seem close to the new moon phase, if that exists around here.

Is it the sun of this place that emits so much light, as I thought, or is it because of the doubled number of moons?

Maybe it's also because of the excessive amount of light, but the sky in this place has a very minimal number of stars, even without clouds. There are many different things here that I need to understand better.

All of this is still incredible; just looking at this sky makes me excited and reinvigorated. I want to explore this world, see what it has to offer, and enjoy everything it can give me.

But anyway, that's a topic for another day. For now, let's try to go back and look for someone here.

Actually, I always sleep in the same room since the first day I woke up in this place. And I never sleep alone; there's always one of the girls to sleep with me.

Mom sleeps with me every 2 or 3 days; I don't know if it's because of work or some other reason. So when she doesn't sleep with me, one of the other girls sleeps with me.

They have a kind of task rotation system, and taking care of me throughout the day is one of the tasks.

The most contested and desired among them, I can tell by the happiness on their faces in the morning when I wake up. So, on the days when Mom doesn't sleep with me, the task of the day lasts until the night as well.

For example, today was Aglaya's day to take care of me, and since I'm not being hugged and slightly suffocated by Mom's breasts, she's not sleeping with me tonight.

By deduction, if Aglaya is here... does that mean I'm still on the same day, or not... First things first.

Let's try to sit down for a bit...

"Vultiole… nowe aisi aotie ge itioe pse sofej vpe..."

Speaking of her...
